This was the best place I could find to make this thread, so here goes...

So, I finally went ahead and bought FFXI for PC today. And I can't install it.

I'm running Ubuntu Linux, 9.0.4 I believe. I managed to get Wine fully installed, up and running, and to the settings that various online guides say to set it at, and working good.

Then I run into a problem. The CD-ROM isn't spinning the cd. And it's just this specific cd. All my music cds spin and work fine, but this one won't for some reason.

Any help? Thanks.
 
Great, I finally was able to come across a DVD-ROM that would actually read the disc, and now Wine doesn't want to run at all...
