I like the idea! It would be a shame if it dies.
#8 of the FF round is The Forbidden Land Eureka from FFIII (the DS remake).
That's definitely what it is.
It's the new name for Agito XIII!

Apparently it hasn't got much to do with XIII so they wanted to distance it, and they also want to make a series out of it.
Yes, XIII-2 has been announced. It'll be on PS3 and Xbox 360 and will be released this year, apparently. I don't know what to think about this really. I'd rather they move on to FFXV, but I'll reserve judgement until we see concrete info about how it's different from XIII.
With Orphan dead, it's possible that Eden also dies, and if that happens, it's possible that the other Cocoon fal'Cie also die. However, Serah was branded by a Pulse fal'Cie, Anima, so I don't think this explains why Serah comes back, especially since I got the impression that Anima was killed...
I do like the battle system generally, but I don't think it allows for the same level of strategising as you'd get in other FFs. For example, if I want to use Enthunder to take advantage of an elemental weakness, then I can bring a Synergist into the party, but if I'm not the one controlling...
Thanks. Well argued!
I still think the game could have made things clearer, but, of course, it's perfectly normal for a story to leave at least a few unanswered questions. And Auron's character is frustratingly taciturn.
But why? And so what are the droplets that move towards Sin?
Why would he do that though? OK, I'll concede that your interpretations are valid, and maybe there is no deeper meaning to be found here, but even when I first saw this video in the game, it looked to me as though Auron was doing...
How do you know? In the video it really looks as though Auron purposefully raises his flask at the oncoming wave.
To be honest, I didn't notice this when I played the game, but I do wish Auron (or somebody) had clarified what exactly happened on that day.
And then they will continuing bitching and complaining because they "ruined" it! Well, not everyone will do this.
There are people, like me, who think that there are quite a lot of things about FFVII that could be improved. So, if they are going to remake the game, they could take the...
Thanks for your replies. I can't really see Sin inside the ball of water, but I assume it must be the case. I watched the Otherworld video again, and I noticed that Auron fires something out of his flask at a big wave approaching the city, and it looks as though it causes the wave to coalesce...
I would go further, and suggest that there is really no character in this game that can claim to be the ultimate villain or the 'true bad guy'. Sin and Jecht were controlled by Yu Yevon. Yunalesca and Seymour claimed to have the people's best interests in mind. And even Yu Yevon only did what he...
At the beginning of the game, there's an FMV where we see something that looks like a giant ball of water, and Auron says "We call it Sin". Here's a screenshot. Yet every other time that Sin appears, he looks like a giant whale monster. What is the reason for this apparent discrepancy?
It...
I am really enjoying it so far. I love the story. The battle system is also fun, but I'm still struggling to get used to the fact that time never stops. In all previous FFs, you could stop time and think about your strategy, but now you can't (unless you pause, but then you can't peruse the...
I think they are just planning on making parts of the game interactive which they would normally have left as cutscenes - I don't think this (necessarily) means that they're going to make all cutscenes interactive. If this is the case, then it effectively means that they're just reducing the...
I'm pretty sure Serah is not a playable character.
I'm looking forward to all of them, really. From what I've heard, the characters don't really have much uniqueness in terms of the abilities available to them - you can make them what you want. So the main distinguishing feature is the summon. I...
In FFIX and X, instrumental remixes of the main theme appeared in the game, e.g. IX's world map theme was based on Melodies of Life and in X, Some Day the Dream Will End was based on Suteki da Ne. I'm therefore kind of hoping that the English release of XIII will do the same thing and that the...
I have some experience with green screen and it sounds like it would be a good option for the backdrops at least. In fact it would, to a certain extent, emulate the way that the game itself is put together - i.e. with pre-rendered backgrounds and rendered characters. Have you used the technique...
The prologue theme was there (remixed) but not the main theme. But then I don't remember hearing the main theme in VII either.
I would also be interested to know what 'useless abilities' you mean here - do you mean the Augments?
I agree that VII was incredibly easy, but I found XII to be one...
This sounds like an interesting and highly creative project. The MediaFire link doesn't work anymore - is the script still available?
Don't know if this is a silly question, but how will the backgrounds/scenery/props work? Do you not have any or will they be made of clay/paper or CG...?
I suppose the battle speed was quite slow, but I didn't find it unbearably so. What was more annoying was that it took noticeably longer for a battle to actually start in the first place. If you time how long it takes from when the screen starts swirling to when you're inputting the first...
