FF12 is still made by Square veterans. So it's not as simple as Business restructuring. Yes, there were some internal struggles outside of the restructure though. The game was developed for 5 years straight, apparently the longest at the time. And there was some drama going on.
My problem is...
The only logical explanation i can think of is that Nintendo paid extra money to delay PlayStation release on the first Octopath Traveller.
After that, Sony paid extra money to delay Xbox release, or this time they are now developing the game with PS4/5 first.
Crisis Core was the last major installment in the Compilation that continued or expanded the story of FF7. Since FF7 remake added DLC for Weiss, i hope we see the other turks in part 2 and 3.
After waiting and waiting and waiting for Forspoken to grab my attention and see if it was worth it, we finally get a full 10-minute trailer to give us a better idea of what the game will look and feel like. And after looking at it, I'm unfortunately not impressed.
The Main Salespitch: Frey...
So for me, i never use Gambits where the party performs Limit Breaks. there are some things that i want to do myself And i consider Limit breaks more fun if I do it myself. As for specific ranges, I can see the appeal of 20-50% range for magic. But I also just leave it at 50% range, and they use...
Can you clarify what you mean by "combine gambit conditions to make certain ability usage more specific". What more specific did you have in mind?
i have a feeling that Vaan will always be considered annoying no matter what, and ultimately i think there's a few reasons why people hate on Vaan...
Its also important to note that the game starts off with ZERO gambits. The implementation of gambits are earned slowly. Some key battles will give them to you, but overall, the ones you want the most are usually bought. So its part of budget management. do you spend money to buy better...
I'm very confused by this statement. Without gambits, the game plays like a traditional turn based RPG with free camera and free movement.
Gambits are just basic programming rules for the AI of the party, But you can override the gambits at any point in battle by selecting that character and...
If you haven't seen this video. I encourage others to watch it. Especially if you never played Final Fantasy 12, and heard it was a bad entry through the grapevine.
I've been saying Final Fantasy 12 was so misunderstood for YEARS. I've been saying that the gameplay is NOT like an MMO. i've...
Which is your favorite final fantasy monster/enemy? And which version of that monster is your favorite?
Key note: Monsters aren't the same as races. Just for the sake of getting more interesting takes, Moogles and Chocobos are not a monster (plus they're too popular). Also, if your favorite is...
Actually Square Enix gave a lot of attention to the games. Final Fantasy 1 and 2, Dawn of Souls. Final Fantasy 3 PSP version. Final Fantasy 4: The Complete Collection (which just includes after years and a new interquel). Final Fantasy 5 and 6 are there in their ps1 version. 7, 8, and 9 as well...

^^SO it looks like Gackt never got in the way of...
For me personally, the remasters have been serviceable. FF1-3 I'm not impressed with the sprites for the party. if anything it makes me wish they didn't try so hard to stay close to the 8-bit design. Especially FF3, where there was enough room for these characters to be color coded.
So I've had this huge fascination with how Square Enix handles Final Fantasy VII and the fashion sense.
Lets first start off with how Square Enix handles SOLDIER, specifically the SOLDIER emblem. if you followed it in that order after FF7, you notice some odd details in the fashion retcons that...
So keep in mind that technically Disney owns Kingdom Hearts. so Disney may not allow Kingdom Hearts to have Final Fantasy worlds.at least not exclusively.
Hopefully this game answers some questions about why Cloud's light and dark half are Sephiroth and Tifa.
Once again, Square Enix wants to remind people that this is going to be a different game. it's not a remake, but rather part 1 was called remake, this is now an alternate story.
Like Vivi-Gamer said, i don't want the changes in story to be for the sake of meta. I also don't want them to do it...
In a a way, Dissidia was sort of an answer to the multiverse, I think it would be interesting to see a game where the first world was the birth of the other universes.
The games that i believe have the most room for a prequel are:
Final Fantasy 2 The Rise of Emperor Mateus
Final Fantasy 3, A story of the Dark World and the rise of Cloud of Darkness
Final Fantasy 6,
Final Fantasy 8,
Final Fantasy 10
Every Main Final Fantasy Game including their sequels, prequels, and interquels (exceptions are the ones that didn't release in the US)
Final Fantasy Tactics, Typo 0 HD, Dissidia, Dimensions and Dimensions 2, airborne brigade (for a little while), the 4 heroes of light, Adventure, Mystic Quest...
