NFL Madden 08

I don't know if this game is out yet, I've seen trailers and it looks really good from what I've seen. I just wanted to know if anyone here has bought/played it and what they think of it. Is it better than Madden 07? Is it worth the R.R.P?

I've heard reviews on it and it's generally good. Apparently everything is a bit more realistic than in 07, and animations are also better (according to experts

). But I want to get this game, even if it is a total bomb.

If you have a Playstation 2 and are getting this game, don't bother. I played a PS2 version of the game and it sucks. Exact same game as '07; just with added rookies.

The Xbox 360 version though looks amazing. I haven't played it yet, but the videos and screens of the game look great.

Well I've never played an NFL game so it won't matter to me if it's the same as '07.

I'm just wondering if it's worth the money.

i played it on the ps3 at a friend's house, and its most definitely an improvement on 07. the repeated dropped interceptions aren't as frequent (don't you hate when your guys drop interceptions??) and the highlight stick is a little cooler. the gameplay still seems slow compared to the ps2 and xbox versions, but its gotten better.

oh yeah DR, it's worth the money

Yeah, it's been a staple to that series for...I dunno, forever? XD
I suppose you can in Dynasty Mode.

I'm considering getting this myself, but might wait for a good buy off eBay first for a new copy. I bought this years NCAA Football '08 and that's pretty fun and all.

I played Madden '08 for the PS2 as well, and it sucks ass. Same game as last year. No doubt it's because companies want to push buyers to get a next gen console, so it's understandable. The PS3 and 360 versions are great though!

Well the game's out now. ^.^
I have Madden '08 on the Wii. I hear that it's rather crappy in terms of gameplay on the PS3 because you have to do multiple combinations due to lack of buttons. I also heard that the 360 gameplay is average, but with better graphics.

The Wii gameplay is the best choice IMO. I got to play it a few times with my bf and it's really fun. ^.^

Awesome game. Too bad I only have the demo. >:(

I notice a few things off the bat:

1.) I love the superstar mode that they introduced, even though they've already implemented that in NBA Live. But it makes a heck of a lot difference when you're trying to decide who to throw to in the clutch or something.

2.) The motion isn't all that fluid compared to '07, which is a good thing 'cause in '07 all the players seemed to be running like water going down the pipe. It was unrealistic.
