Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation

I played the demo, and heck is this game awesome. Not only in terms of graphics but in gameplay as well. It's pretty easy playing the simulation 'cause the joystick is just perfect for it, I think.

Anyways, anyone else looking forward to this game? --- coming out this fall.

I really am looking forward to this. I'm a huge fan of the series and have bought two of the PS2 games and the PSP one. The only thing I'm upset about is that the UK will not be sold with the flight stick like in US. :(

Oh boy I am so excited about this. I love jet pilot games and adore the Ace Combat series. I'm glad this thread was started coz I've been wondering if it is going to be any good myself. I'm glad it got good feedback from you I bought Over G Fighters when it was released and was sorely dissapointed with it, especially the multiplayer.

I also have Over G Fighters but have yet to play online (don't have Live yet). Although it's a nice game, it doesn't have the same excitement that Ace Combat has. I guess Over G is TOO much simulation. I did like the idea of refuelling and rearming which is realistic, but I found it quite hard.

The refueling and re-arming is what damaged the multiplayer online. People would just circle your base when you went in to re-fuel, wait for you to take off then shoot you down before you even had time to pull your wheels up practically. Respawn on base, take off, get shot down, repeat.

That's one reason I wouldn't like to play online games because I've heard that a lot of people "base camp" and spoil the fun of the games. I'm sure that only a small majority of players do it but it still ruins the game for others.

Talking about the singleplayer aspect of the game, I really did like that. However, having played more Ace Combat games, I find having a large volume of weapons to unload on hundreds of enemies much more fun....plus I always love the crazy planes and vehicles that show up in some AC games.
