The Darkness of Me
this is one of my poems....please comment if you will
the beating of my heart
racing from time to time
the pace of my feet
running to a place of nothingness
the killing of my soul
from that figure that can't go away
when i see it ,
i want to run away,hide,
sheild myself from the truth of my darkness.

Interesting poem. It seems like you are hiding from the darkness. As if there is something that is coming after you, to kill you, and you are trying to hide, in fear, from it. Is this what you are going for?

I thought that the poem was about you running away from your past..your dark memories and being more aware of cause of those experiences...so in other words prepared for the future and progressing cause of the past
