Snow, Breakups, and the Battle of The Super Bitches.
Anyhoo, I've been reading a lot of teen books lately, and they've totally made me want to write my own story. I've been toying with the idea a lot lately, but tonight I just sat down and started typing xD Here's what I've gotten so far. My spellcheck isn't working, and I'm writing it at 3-4 in the morning, in the dark, with a keyboard I can't use, so I expect there's mistakes xD
Snow, Breakups, and the Battle of The Super Bitches.
Prologue
I realised lately that I have entirely too much free time, and with all the crazy stuff that’s happened around here recently, I might as well write it all down, just for shits and giggles really. That, and it’s something to do. Anyway, I think I’ll start from around the time Pandora showed up, since that’s when all the craziness started – the weird weather, the huge divide in the group, and the Battle of The Super Bitches. My english teacher said that I tend to ramble on about irrelevant things too much, and I’ll probably end up doing that, but since it’s only me that’ll ever read this, who the hell cares?
Things get weird What a weird week this has been, I thought, absently listening to the sound of Beatrix and Dawson arguing…again. Whatever, I couldn’t be bothered getting into their petty little argument, they had way too many of them, and it was obvious to everyone but themselves that they just wanted to screw each other.
Anyway, I’m getting sidetracked again, this weeks been totally weird. Apart from Bea and Dawsons week long argument over…God remembers what, the very core of our little group had been shaken by the arrival of the new girl, Pandora. She’d been here a grand total of 3 days, and I still didn’t know whether I wanted to slap her, or hug her, which for me, is very weird. Apart from Pandora showing up and messing with the group and all that stuff (more on that later) the week was majorly weird, and not weird like Beatrix and Dawson speaking to each other without swearing, or Ry actually smiling, or me passing a French exam (I seriously think the sky would fall if that happened.) I’m talking about MAJORLY weird stuff. Gut-renching, heart stopping, totally confuzzling weirdness.
It was a normal day, Monday (boo!) and I was on the steps in the hall with Ry (who was being silent, as always) Chloe and Ursula, when Carla walked in, and I didn’t recognise her for at least ten minutes until I heard Chloe shriek "Oh my god! WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR HAIR?" Carla, famous for her long bright red hair, now had severely short hair dyed black. Instead of replying, Carla just shot Chloe a "shut-the-hell-up" look and shrugged, before storming off muttering something about French homework. Well…that was weird, I thought, but I was quickly distracted by Beatrix and Dawson arriving. They made a scene, as always, Beatrixs newly-purple hair flying around as she scathingly destroyed Dawson (with her words, she’s not much of a fighter) while he just looked around sheepishly. Personally I was kind of expecting him to fight back, it would certainly brighten up the place, the highlight of the morning was a little kid falling over, which gives you some indication of how bored we were. Although, it always amused me that no matter how much they seemingly detested each other, they were always together, seriously, I think he spent more time round her house than her own brother did.
Anyway, getting sidetracked again, the morning continued as normal, registration (boring) French (very boring) and maths (exceedingly boring) and things didn’t really brighten up until 4th lesson. English. Normally my least favourite lesson, not because I was bad at it but because of the teacher. She has this way of talking to you that makes you feel as though you’re three years old again. And I can’t stand her. Anyhoo, while psycho teacher was babbling about…something, our head of year appeared with this blonde girl beside him. I barely registered what was happening until the She-Devil barked that this new girl would be sitting next to me, and that I should put my tie on correctly (whatever, ties don’t DO anything anyway)
"What a complete cow!" The new girl whispered to me, sliding into her seat.
I liked her already.
But if I’d have known then what she was going to do to our group, especially me, I would have shoved a pencil up her nose and let her bleed to death.
"Pandora Williams" that’s what she told me her name was. Pity it wasn’t Super Bitch. It would have suited her so much better.
"Does this look purple to you?" Beatrix asked me, adjusting her goggles slighlty. It was Tuesday afternoon, we had science and although we were pretending to do whatever boring experiment the teacher had set us, we were really doing more interesting things – gossiping about the new girl, for example.
"I guess so, but I don’t really care, tell me about what you heard about Pandora" Although when she’s in a mood with Dawson (most of the time) Beatrix is a bit of a bitch, but when he’s not around, she’s lovely, and because she’s so lovely, and pretty and nice, she tends to become a human library of gossip. "Well Kai" She giggled, removing the (dorky) goggles, "I heard that Pandora told Kelly, who told Marie, who told Katherine, who told Rebecca, who told me, that she didn’t move here just because she moved house. Apparently, she had to move away from her old school because her older sister got pregnant with a teachers baby, apparently, the family couldn’t take the shame, so they just…moved away" Beatrix finished lamely.
"I smell bullshit" I stated flatly "It’s clear that Pandoras a total attention whore" Speaking of Pandora, I hope she hadn’t heard our conversation, since when I looked up she waved and winked at us…
"Yeah, that’s probably true" Beatrix agreed with me "And if she flings herself at any of you guys again, I swear to God, I’ll slap her. I mean yesterday, she just flung herself at Dawson, blatently flirting with him and acting as though I didn’t exist"
"I thought you didn’t like Dawson though?" I teased.
Beatrix replied by giving me the finger and turning back to our purple…thing in the jar. Sighing, I turned back to the test tubes, but I felt uneasy…as though Pandora had heard more of our conversation than I would have liked, especially since I could feel her eyes boring into me for the last few minutes of the lesson…

I like it so far.
But i do have one problem with it.
It's one page and you have 8 characters, which is fine if they arent all going to be major/important characters.
However if most of them are, it would probably be better to introduce them a bit later.
and as all these other characters are seen through the eyes of the narrator, he/she needs to be described, so we know whether their judgement of characters is good or bad and whether they are biased towards certain characters.
Dont take that the wrong way, i like it and think its good

Oh don't worry, only 3/4 characters are gonna be important, the others are just...there, to make it more realistic that the main character has more than 2 friends xD
And the narrator will get described as I go along, since I know what I want to happen to everyone and stuff =]

Thanks for all the comments so far I've added more, and I;ll put the update in this post, as well as update the entire thing in my first post =]
