I do a fair bit of writing in my spare and here so piece I'm working on. Feel free to comment and write your opinion. Here's the prologue and part of the first chapter.

The Ninja Arts

Prologue: The Many Ways.

Many wish to learn to fight while many learn and perfect there skills with training and use and then there are those who wish to master there skills and perfect there styles. In the realms there a many different fighting methods that use both weapons and body while requiring many different skills and attributes. But at the top of the groups of fighters are the secluded groups who train only there own and those who have proven themselves worthy while forcing all others to leave or die.

These groups each have there own rules, leaders, and traditions meaning traveling to a different hidden village can mean a total change in how you have to behave meaning most people who are worthy of visiting a hidden village tend to avoid others as it is difficult to change that much. But then there are those few who seek out the troubles of the hidden villages and travel from one to another training in the many ways of combat. These few are known as paladins.

Paladins are special fighters who don’t just become good at one fighting style or train just magic or use only a weapon for a paladin trains in everything they can. Paladins travel from place to place and learn each style of combat before moving on to the next place to learn there style as well. As a result paladins have become deadly warriors who tend to either uphold the peace or cause chaos. Some paladins spend there entire lives training there skills in the many different arts and few even manage to learn even a tenth of the combat styles out there. But once every few hundred years a person is born with incredible natural talent in combat who becomes a paladin and learns all there is to learn.


And here's chapter 1


Chapter 1: Mt Maranora and the Chaotic Climb.

“Why do all the good combat styles have to be on top of bloody mountains or in the middle of deadly forests or in some desert or somewhere dangerous like that”, Peru complained as the creature climbed up the ledge a handsome man with long white hair had his hand on.

“I have no idea Peru but I think it has to do with them wanting the trip there being part of the test”, the man said in-between heavy breaths as he climbed onto the ledge a greyish white creature was on. “Hey Peru you want to take a break here?” the man asked as he sat down against the rock face.

“Hell yes”, Peru said happily as he curled up into a ball that resembled a rock almost perfectly and closing its golden eyes and saying. “I thought you’d never ask Kailin.” The man smiled at this before hanging his legs off the ledge and looking down at the cliff face. Kailin and Peru were half way up mount Maranoras step cliff face and were about three thousand metres up so that when Kailin looks down he sees cliff for the first while before seeing a dense wall of white fog. Kailin smiled again cheaply before looking forwards at distance and saw the fog extending out and suddenly stopping like an island reaching the sea but this sea fell away to a breath taking landscape. The area around mount Maranora was some of the most beautiful in the Fara realm and consisted of massive plains with great forests and valleys and all of this was an emerald green colour. Kailin looked up at the sky as he moved back against the rock face which was about two metres away from the ledge, the sky was bright and clear today revealing bright blue skies and a large blue sun that was in position of afternoon while a yellow sun was just starting to rise in the west while the current blue sun was heading north. This was as it was in the realm of Fara and its two suns and seven moons. Fara was positioned in space so that it got 39hours of light and 92 hours of darkness everyday but that was perfectly suited as the days were hot and sunny while the nights were warm and clear.

Kailin took the big brown pack he had been carrying off his back and pulled a silver large flask off the side before taking a long drink of the cloudy white liquid inside.

“You want some Peru”, Kailin said holding the bottle out to the rock that was Peru currently before seeing the rock move as Peru spoke.

“No I do not like that Fe’Rair stuff you bought in Delmar, it tastes to strongly of beer”, Peru said as the second sun started to leave the horizon.

“Yeah but it has no alcohol in it, and that is why I drink the stuff”, Kailin said as he wiped his mouth before putting the flask in the pack.


I'm writing this in my spare time so I'll post each section as I write it. Oh one last thing, my chapters are long and normally take up seven to ten pages on a word document.

Ok heres the second section of the first chapter, enjoy. Oh and again any opinions will be great as I haven't really had many people rate my writing before.

“That and your race doesn’t hold there alcohol very well”, Peru commented cheekily before getting a plastic water bottle rolled at him making Peru jumped up in surprise showing his proper shape. Peru was a small creature no bigger than a common cat but he had a long lizard like tail and was covered in a sort of scaly armour with less armour on the belly and the back of his four legs which had padded feet that were designed for climbing and gripping surfaces. Peru was slightly round giving him a more solid look. Peru had three golden eyes two of which were in normal place on his narrow head but one was on his fore head, this third eye Peru normally kept shut since it gave brief visions of the future randomly when open. Peru sniffed the bottle before opening the cap in his sharp teeth before sitting up and holding the bottle with all four legs as he drank happily.

“Yeah you can talk, you’re a mountain dwelling lizard who likes humanoid females”, Kailin said laughing happily making Peru give him a stare out of his third eye before closing it. Kailin was young for a Paladin at only 19 but he was rather skilled at combat and because he was a Garu he was also stronger and faster than your average human. Kailin was handsome by any standard and his dark blue intelligent eyes and hawk like face didn’t help this either. Kailin was average height and had a lean build meaning he was thin with a fair amount of muscle; Kailin had shoulder blade length white hair that today was mainly pulled back by a dark blue ribbon in his hair while laving some to hang down the sides of his face. Kailin normally wore his hair this way but he sometimes wore it out or used magic to temporarily shorten it. Kailin was wearing his normal travelling cloths which consisted of a plain white long shirt that hanged over his silver and white belt which held up his slightly baggy grey pants that hang over his white and silver boots. Over top of his shirt Kailin wore a full length coat which he had undone as normal; this coat had dark blue trims and had a military feel about it because of the empty chevrons on its shoulders and the clean cut sleeves. This coats main design was a large Paladin crest on the back which consisted of a large white bird with a long snakelike body and bladed wings, this bird flew in front of a silver and blue shield which was very simple and simple had a silver edge with a main blue main section. Kailin also wore white and blue combat gloves that were made of thin soft leather so that Kailin didn’t lose any use of his fingers.

Peru stopped drinking with a burp which made Kailin smile again before Peru pushed the bottle back towards Kailin who put it in the pack and standing. Kailin then raised the pack onto his pack and pulled a rope with a hock on it from his belt and throwing it up as hard as he could as Peru scaled the vertical wall effortlessly. Kailins hock hit the wall and few a few metres before catching securely on a ledge which was followed by Kailin pulling it tight and starting to climb with Peru scaling away next to him. Kailin had thrown the hock a good three hundred metres up because of the extremely light weight of both the hock and the rope and because of this Kailin had to break three times along the climb, each time he stopped he strapped the rope to his belt so he didn’t have to move and stood against the wall and rested as Peru waited on Kailins stomach or chest. By the time Kailin and Peru reached the next ledge the first sun had started to look afternoonish while the second looked around morning and as before upon reaching this lead Kailin threw the hock again and caught on a ledge around the same height as the previous and set off. About halfway up this ledge Kailin rested and heard a loud bang from above and with this Kailin woke up from his half resting day dream and focused above him to see a cluster of rocks falling straight at him.

“Holy crap, Kailin move”, Peru said surprised by the suddenness of this and so didn’t have enough time to move back onto the wall as Kailin ran to the right across the wall before gravity pulled him back but he ran with this, Kailin did this a few more times until he was swinging in massive arcs and with this Kailin grabbed onto a ledge at the top of one of his swings and luckily was far enough to one side for the rocks to fall harmlessly past. Kailin took a deep breath before climbing onto the ledge and noticing it was just beneath the one he had the hock on and so climbed up on that one and pulled the hock back to him. Mean while Peru was still clinging to Kailins chest in shock with all three eyes wide open. “Ok, I’m keeping my third eye open now cause I don’t want that to happen again”, Peru said in a terrified tone as Kailin sat down again and breathed hard as the first sun started to set.

“I agree with you there Peru, you keep that eye open”, Kailin said shocked and annoyed at what just happened and also curious over what the bang was and if it triggered the rock slid. After another quiet rest Kailin threw his hock into the gap where the rocks had fallen out of and climbed up there by the time the second sun got to around afternoon time. There was a massive section of the wall having burst open where he was and at the back of this section of destroyed rock there was a black device. Kailin and Peru walked up to the device and Kailin picked it up and looked at it to find a timer on one side that said it had thirty nine seconds left, Kailin swore and threw the device off the cliff making Peru waddle up to the ledge and watch it before a large bang sound simular to the first.

Thanks for the comment, yeah I know I go a little fast but its either I'm too fast or too slow when I'm writing but I am getting better.

“So another one of those caused the rocks to fall”, Peru said calmly.

“Yes but the bigger question is who put it there”, Kailin mumbled making Peru nod before the pair sat down to rest again.

“Sir he avoided both rockslide and bomb”, a young female voice said from the darkness.

“Hmmm this ones more skilled than we expected”, a deep inhuman male voice sounded from the darkness.

“Should I engaged him then master”, the female voice said with a hint of menace and this was followed by two large red eyes opening several metres above the floor and because of the darkness these eyes were all that was visible.

“No, we will let him feel safe for now”, the voice said calmly as the eyes dropped downwards with a massive thump.

“But master the climb as exhausted him, we should strike now while he is weak and while we can still use the gate pentacle to get to mount Maranora”, the female voice argued but was silenced by a deep growl and a stair from the red eyes.

“Lana you are yet a puppet here to my masters plans and so you will not rise against me for fear of my master destroying you. You have your orders to wait and so you will wait and do nothing else”, the inhuman voice almost yelled making the black room shack slightly.

“As you wish master”, Lana said sadly before her master called another of his puppets to the room.

“Vesper, come my silent blade”, the voice said calmly before a red pentacle glowed in the darkness before fading and after a few seconds of silence a male voice spoke this one sounding more human.

“Master, you called for me”, Vesper said quietly but the voice betrayed his personality as it held so much cruelty and venom that it already betray his place as his masters assassin and a great warrior.

“Vesper I have a job for you, you are to watch the Paladin know as Kailin and report to me whenever you can on his doings. Your information will be important in us bringing him down. Do not fail me”, the voice said before Vesper bowled unnoticed in the darkness before speaking.

“As you wish master”, Vesper said evilly as another red pentacle appeared before fading as Vespers maddening evil laugh echoed throughout the room as he departed.

“But master I could have done that roll just as well as Vesper could have”, Lana argued but was left with a strange response.

“I have another job for you. I want you to spy on Vesper as I have expected him of serving the high master instead of me”, the voice said angrily.

“But why is that wrong master?” Lana asked unsure of why she was doing this.

“My master is turning to the wrong side so I am planning on obeying his orders and double crossing them at the same time”, the voice said calmly before adding. “I want you to guard the Paladin Kailin, get close to him and befriend him and help him overcome Vesper when he attacks him”, the voice said calmly as Lana and Vesper had never worked together and had only meet in the darkness of this room and so have no idea of what the other looks like.

“But sir, how will I know who Vesper is”, Lana asked almost desperately.

“He will be the one who attacks you with his demon wing already spread wide”, the voice said calmly. “You will be assisted by an angel who will arrive later but for now be careful and don’t do anything to alert Vesper till after he begins his attack”, the voice finished and after a few seconds a purple pentacle appeared and Lana left.

Kailin yawned as a rope going straight up in front of him wiggled from side to side as Kailin waited for Peru to put the hock on a ledge out of throwing range. Kailin and Peru had climbed to another ledge above the place the found the explosive device and found the next ledge was too high for Kailin to attach the hock so Peru had to take it up there and put it in place. Kailin started to tap his foot as the second sun started to show late afternoon and the white moon was half visible to the east showing night was going to start very soon. Kailin let out a long sigh before the rope on his belt stopped recreating and tightened showing Peru had made it to the top. Luckily Kailin was using a magic rope that made more of itself when pulled so it now was just a matter of climbing. Kailin pulled on the rope and set off up the slope again at a steady pace now guessing that Peru was sleeping on this ledge.

Around halfway the second sun had fully set and one moon was in the sky with two more now starting to show to the east and north. Then after about an hour more of climbing Kailins foot landed on something soft which cried back in a familiar voice.


“Hey can’t a La’Vera get some sleep on the side of a mountain”, Peru yelled before spotting it was Kailin.
