Julius' Letter/Alternate Ending #1
Short Story...
<o:p> </o:p> To my love…. <o:p> </o:p> <o:p> </o:p> And so I walked towards the dark cathedral and ventured myself once again into the unknown. My heart was weakened; sorrow was slowly eating me like an horrible disease yet I kept walking holding my breath with my last strength. I found myself before the great doors, of the cathedral and with barely able to sustain my life I extended my hand and turned the door knob. The door made a cracking sound, like a weak growl seeming more like a warning, possibly telling me that if I kept moving forward I would surely never come back. Nevertheless I didn't turn back; I just kept pushing my nearly lifeless body into the darkness and slammed the door behind me. <o:p> </o:p> Before my very eyes I saw her, though I knew that this love was just an illusion, a mere dream that was just about to fade. This love was slowly killing me, I kept trying to destroy what I felt for her but it was all in vain, for my heart already belonged to her. And so I fell to my desperation, the pain grew more and more with each beat of my dying heart. The tears flowing from my sad eyes were just evidence that was body was already giving up and accepting my terrible fate, something my heart kept trying to deny. <o:p> </o:p> Soon "he" appeared, my old self, finally arriving to our deadly encounter. I was separated and split in two halves, a constant battle between my old self and me threatening to destroy me. My old self, cold hearted and emotionless selfish monster against me and my desire to change and feel love at least once. I knew already that this was a lost battle and that I had all the odds against me yet I kept walking towards my opponent. <o:p> </o:p> After a few moments, a soaring thunder broke the silence that consumed the cathedral and both of our swords were unsheathed at the same time. We ran and met in a deadly duel, our swords clashing ferociously with our hatred against each other grew. Blood pouring from my wounds yet I kept fighting, I was not going to give up that easily. <o:p> </o:p> Perhaps it was my heart, calling and begging for happiness that refused to let me die, though sadly, all was in vain. My enemy, my own old self found his way through my guard, eluded my defenses and stabbed my chest. I stepped back and fell on my knees with my blood stained hands grabbing the blade of the sword that was piercing me. And so I found myself breathing heavily, my old self was grinning with satisfaction for he had won the battle and he was returning using my body. <o:p> </o:p> My sight was fading, the darkness was slowly enveloping my senses and still my heart refused to let me die. Suddenly the brief but pleasant memories of my days with "her" flashed through my mind. It was her, so beautiful and angelic and I was happy for an instant. Sadly my happiness did not last long, for before my very eyes I saw when she left me, and how I was unable to confess this love. Here I witnessed once again how this affection born of love released the monster that slew me, and how I fell by his sword. <o:p> </o:p> The memories ended, I felt my heart was finally giving up; my body collapsing on the ground as my chest stroke the hard and cold floor of the cathedral. The sword was still piercing my chest and so he approached and pulled the sword with my blood flowing like a ferocious current of feelings trying to sustain my hopeless ambition, this love that refuses to let me die. Finally my darkness won the battle; my old self raised his sword above his shoulders and brought it down upon me, piercing my chest once again. He left, thinking that I was dead. Without any strength, perhaps moved by my undying will, I crawled towards a piece of paper and wrote this letter. Hopefully someone will find it and will read my sad story. <o:p> </o:p> How sad, she will never know my feelings towards her. I must make haste and finish this letter, so before death claims I write a message to the person I love. "Dareisha I love you. My heart belongs to you and you alone. Though death claimed my soul, he failed to take my heart and so I give it to you before losing my last breath. I will miss you even though I fear that you never loved me. I will love you anyway, throughout all eternity. Sadly I am forced to say goodbye. Dareisha.....please......remember me.....because thanks to you....I was able to believe in love once more......Good Bye...." <o:p> </o:p> Yours Truly Julius Argexis "Angelus Solitarius"

Wow that's awesome. Very dark. You should expand on this maybe you could make up a whole story.

I love it when people go so in depth. ^__^
I think your story would be very touching if it were all written in the form of letters. Even if they are never delivered.
