In light of recent events
Tying up the loose ends. For Cathy - I still love you
If the threads of our lives
are twisted so tight
to seperate them stretches, hurts and twists us.
But not us - no.
We slipped apart,
simple as that.
No pains, no strains
just no strings attached.
But that is what hurts the most.
Nothing forgotten, nothing left behind.
Just turn our backs, no love lost.
And we spent all that time,
Cuddles and kisses,
seem enigmas, seem riddles,
For now we don't feel,
what we felt together,
sweet memories tease us:
They'll last forever.
But you know what? It just feels so wrong...
To just tie up the loose ends and carry on...
