Bliss : The Epic

For those of you reading, there's a reason you clicked this post. Out of the 3000- 4000 post in this thread, you chose mine. Was it because it was the first one that you even attempted to read? you may think so. But it's not. You opened this the same reason as why the next guy or the previous guy did. But your different than both of those guys. The guy who read this already if in a past-tense state. The guy who hasn't read this yet is in a future-tense state. But you, you're where it's at at the moment. Present-tense state. The only current state you can or could ever be in. The best state you could ever be in. Don't live in the past, but more importantly, don't live for the future. Live for the moment. The past in the past, and the future isn't a fact. Present time is indeed a fact. Needless to say, is it destiny that made you click the link that said Bliss : The Epic that you read on your spiffy laptop screen? Only you know, and if you don't, that is why you were brought to this message. Enjoy my first story, and thanks for your time, even though time doesn't really matter in existence.

Chapter I : Existence

That word, existence... does it really mean anything? i mean if it didn't then there would be no existence, and there clearly is. Unless we don't exist...? I'm not the brightest one in the group, but I don't think anyone can give me an answer to that question without me critiquing every word they say. Because i don't think anyone can answer that. At least not to persue me... not the journey i've been through. I've decided to document my journey in a small little journal so that no matter what happened, someone, something, or whatever/ whoevers mitts this journal would lie in would know who I was and what i risked to save everything, for everyone. I'm just an average looking boy, 5'10 with blonde mid lengthed hair. My blue eyes are what really stand out. I wear a necklace with a ring on it. My mother says i look just like my dad, but i wouldn't know anything about that considering my old man left when i was just 1 year old. He was drafted into the army, and we haven't heard from him since... I can't help but beat myself up over it... i mean if i were borne just 19 years earlier that could have been me getting drafted instead... I would have made it. I know it. Not to sound cocky or anything but I'm i pretty good condition. I keep a well- balanced meal and a daily exercise routine. I'm going to keep this chapter short, since its just an introduction to my journey.

Chapter II : Life

As i woke up that morning, i could tell that the day was going to be different than any other day. I looked out the window and saw 2 squirrels chasing eachother as the golden sun shined down on everything in site. The water gleemed with reflections of the sun pointing in every direction. I rest my arms on the bronzed brown wooden window sill and wait for the alarm clock to go off. I always wake up 5 minutes before it goes off, always. It deffeats the whole purpose of having one, but i keep it on anyways. Enjoying the scenery, I'm rudely interupted by the annoying beeping that my alarm clock starts projecting... "Maybe i don't need this stupid thing" i say to myself as i throw it on the floor. On my way down the stairs, i quickly check my calendar to see what day it is. But i noticed something different about the calendar. This one was new... Really new. My old one was worne and stained. This one was shiny, new and flawless. It did'nt really bother me all that much until i noticed the year the calendar was. 3014. 3014! It couldn't be the year it was meant for considering it was only 2056. Maybe it was a number the store put on it or something. It didn't concern me anymore. I rushed down the stairs to get in the shower to see that the house was empty. I though that maybe my mother went out for some groceries so I hoped in the shower. I went to tuen the water on to find out that there was no water. I looked out the window and saw the beautiful lake and all the colors its reflections projected. Gold, red, green; very bright and gorgeous colors. With all my clothes off i jumped into the lake and bathed. The lake was very clean, so i had no worries. After my bath i dried off, put a white t-shirt on and some pants. My mother was still not home... "I wonder where she is..." I said to myself as if i was talking to someone. I laid down on top of the biggest hill around my house. The sun was shinning brightly and it was a beautiful day. I just layed there, as if i had nothing else to do. No cares in the world. As i was contenplating on where my mother could be, i felt the heat from the sun on my face go away. It was suddenly cold. I finally opened my eyes to see someone staring straight at me, in my eyes, as if they where looking straight through my soul. I'll never forget his face. Such a blank face, with a sense of exitement on it. I quickly got up but fell down the hill tripping over my foot. I got up and looked up the hill to see my mother standing at the very top. I thought to myself this could be a dream. Arms suddenly came from behind my mothers back and grabbed her from behind. I raced up the hill so fast i felt that when i got to the top i was going to keep going, straight up to the heavens. An arm was raised as i got the the top, hitting my in the face, knocking my out. I opened my eyes once, to see that same face staring at me once more... this time a little shorter as i dozed off.

Chapter III : Relms

As i woke up, i was staring at a blank wall. I couldn't move. I was held down by this unknown force, i can't even begin to explain it. Dark matter surrounded me from all sides. All i could do was scream at the top of my lungs. I busted out of the strains, and ran. I just kept running. I was in some sort of ship. Running past halls, i noticed a small machine in the back. I ran up to it. 005-766 HDR T I M E M A C H I N E was printed across the top. There was a small pod like contraption in the machine. Suddenly guards turned the corner, racing torwards me. I quickly ran into the small pod and sealed myself in. There was a small switch with buttons inside. The top read " 005-766 CONTROLS " i typed in random numbers and presed ok. Little did i know that was the biggest mistake of all time. But since time doesn't exist, does it really matter? The numbers i punched in were 3000. I suddenly heard a huge explosion and i closed my eyes. I opened them and saw the earth... spinning, spinning fast. Suddenly the pod shot straight for the earth and i crashed into what it seemed to be 1000 peices. But i didn't. i was perfectly fine. I got up, brushed rubbel and debree off me. As i looked out into the huge town before me, 3 guys came from behind me. " Hey, hey town boy! " one said as he threw a rock at me. " Where you from town boy? " another said as he got out a sword which seemed to be very sharp. " I don't want any trouble, just tell me where I am. " i said as i backed up. " Your in Dangerville buddy, and im Mayor Danger! " A guy said as his friends all laughed and threw more rocks at me. " Please! I don't want any trouble... just tell me where I am " I repeated. The boy with the sword rushed torwards me, sword out, swinging away. I closed my eyes and scrunched up. SHING! That was the only noise to be heard from miles it seemed. I opened my eyes to find peice of the broken glass from the pod in my hand, halfway into the kids stomach. I pushed it in more. then pulled it out. They all fled and i threw the glass behind me. " What the -- " Before i could even finish my sentance i saw a man to the side of me. " It's ok kid.. it was self deffense.. I ain't goin to rat on you. " the man said. He was large, stood at about 7' 2 it seemed. He was very muscular. " Who, who are you? " i said quietly. " The names Yermes, and it looks like your new here. " he responded. " Your goin to need some better fighting techniques to survive in this town kid, fallow me.. " " Look, I don't want to learn any fighting moves... just tell me where I'm at and how the hell i get back home.. " I said. " You're not home.. by the looks of it your far from it too.. " He said. " Now fallow me.."

Chapter IV : Technique

" Look kid... what happened out there was a fluke... a mistake... the last thing i need is another kids blood on my hands. " Yermes said. " What are you talking about...?" I said. Yermes walked over to a wall full of weapons, gear, and other items. " Pick a weapon... anyone you see here." he said. " I don't want a weapon... all I want is to go home! " I said loudly. " Look kid, this is your home now! I've seen pleanty of kids come through here the same way you did. There all dead. You kow why? Because they had the same attitude you do! Now pick a weapon or just leave" Yermes quickly shouted. I just stood there, staring at Yermes, until of course he stared right back into my eyes, then quickly took a quick look at all the weapons. " I uhh... which ones the best... " I asked quietly. " Hmm.." Yermes sounded. Then, behind the wall of weapons, i saw this golden handle on a table. It caught my eye so fast... " I want that one.." pointing at the golden handle. " Ohh nooo. " Yermes said. " Why not? I want that one. " " You have to be out of your mind... you know what? ok yeah I'll give you a shot.. " Yermes said. He he me do all these tasks. As soon as i grabbed the handle he told me to concentrate on unleashing the blade. As soon as i did a firey blade shot out. " Holy sh-- " I said as i was getting interupted by the blades brightness. " Oh my go-- We've found the weapon for you.. " Yermes said as he put his hand out to block the brightness. He then had me fight all these robots that resembled a bunch of guys in suits. As i drew my handle, 7 robots shot into the air. I unleashed the firey blade and sliced threw all the robots. Training has just begun. 7 MONTHS LATER After 7 months of straight training, I realized where i was. The year 3000. Yermes explained it all to me. There was nothing else i could do... exept morn and sulk. But I'm not the type of person to do that. I explained the guy i saw before i was kidnapped... he seemed to emidiatly know who it was... he said it was some guy named Persius. The owner of CAPS corp. Some corperation that poduces fine machinery... But it made no sense why he kidnapped him. Yermes took me to this large machine with a glass tank full of water. He had me get in it. It was called a SLUMBER CHAMBER. 3 MONTHS LATER I awoke and stepped out of the machine. I felt so different. So, powerful. It was April 26, 3001. I am currently 17 years of age. No family. No friends. I live in a world thats not even my world. Time stands still as I walk this lonely path. The pathway to home. My home.
