(OOC: This would be the themesong if this rp was a game:Saeglopur)
A new morning in a New Year begins as the world of Agia awakens from yet another slumber. All citizens of the world began their day in a great leisurely manner unsuspecting that someone somewhere was planning something destructive. That someone was a particularly nasty creature who walked through the small town Iiya littered with trash. This person was a male elf named Orin.
Robed in a green cloak, his blonde hair seeming to flow endlessly behind him, he walked towards the Mana Tree, which stood even closer than he had imagined. The small town surrounded by the giant tree’s roots was the central place for mana practice of the element of earth. Orine had finally met with the tour guide he was looking for who was a native of the town. He gazed down upon the short man eyeing him for three minutes before finally speaking in a calm tone. “Are you going to watch me all day you filthy human or are you going to show me to the tree?” he spoke. “Or is it just a game you seek? The look on your face disgusts me…”
“Oh!” replied the short tour guide. “T-this way sir! We don’t get many tourists like you around these par-“
“Oh shut it.” Snapped Orin. “More walking less talking.”
Orin pulled out a closed black sack and held it up. “If you can get me to the tree’s mana site in less than 30 minutes I’ll pay greatly as a reward.” Said Orin grinning maniacally.
“Right this way!” the short man gasped as he hurried Orin over to a cliff in which the great tree stood.
It seemed to grow out of this rocky crater and upwards at least three miles tall. The short tour guide began to move his hands around in a circle. Orin stared in disgust. He was never able to control mana as well as this human could. The earth around them began to lift gently upwards toward the Mana tree. Slowly they rose higher and higher to a section in the middle of the tree which was clearly made for tourist to visit. Slowly as the tour guide began to guide the circular land on which they stood towards the ledge of the tourist exhibit, Orin fumbled around in the black sack he showed the man.
Stepping onto the ledge Orin shouted “With haste! With haste! There’s no time to waste!”
The guide caught up and led Orin through the path leading deeper inside the tree’s core. “But sir, don’t you want to look at the exhibits?” asked the tour guide.
“I just wan’t to see the tree’s core…” said Orin. “I have never seen the sight before…”
Orin walked on towards the path to the core of the mana tree. He could see the glow coming from further and ran ahead of the confused tour guide. “Why must I always get stuck with the weird customers?” muttered the guide under his breath as he ran after Orin.
There it was. The elf had traveled for five days to get to this point. He pressed his face against the glass looking out into the center of the mana tree where blue strands floated, stirring, colliding, and splitting. He had found what makes the world breathe. Now he could resurrect the one who had made the world quiver in fear. “Um, sir? You’re not supposed to lean on the glass. It might bre-“started the guide.
Orin had already struck the glass with a sword he had kept under his green cloak. He jabbed at the glass until it finally shattered. Wind seemed to suck from them the other way. “Heeheehee!” went Orin’s chuckle as a smile began to slide across his face.
He gazed toward the short tour guide and dropped the black sack into the tree’s hollow center filled with mana and reached his sword inside the stream of mana strands foatingup and down. His sword began to crystallize before his eyes. The tour guide watched in horror as Orin pulled out the emerald crystal blade. With a quick slash, the short man was dead before he knew what had happened. “Little filthy human likes to complain. Now go complain to the gods and tell them of this shame!” chuckled Orin as he happily danced out of the path as happy as can be.
BOOM! The bomb in the black sack had gone off as it hit the bottom of the tree. The ground began to rumble. All around the earth began to shake. An earthquake shook the planet of Agia this morning in the New Year. The planet’s 1000 year era of peace would soon be ending...

(OOC:
I've set up an events system so that everything will hopefully run smoothly. It's consisted of different types of events that are color coded. Examples of the three different events are shown below:
Event-Mandatory
-these events will relate to the main story. There is no avoiding these events from happening and they usually affect all characters.
Event-Optional
-these events will usually relate to the main story. You can choose not to follow these and go about your adventure doing whatever you please. Choosing to follow these wont hurt or help you.
Event-Side Quest-Name
-these events are events that can only be triggered in certain situations. You can choose to ignore these also. They usually relate to a specific character/s whose actions can change the story's plot in many ways...
Anyways, that's all for now. Any important updates will be posted at the bottom of my posts! )

Virginia was riding on horseback, travelling along the coastal road toward Siard Castle. She planned on temporaily living here for the next few months as she planned on making money (the usual way) for her aunt, brother and father back home.
On the way there however she heard a loud explosion followed by an earthquake that startled the horse. Virginia tried to control her horse, "Woah!"

BIC: Sneaking around was impossible for Seridaxon the quiet whistles of steam being released from his pistons and the harmonic chiming of his gears twisting was a dead give away, so he stuck to what he did best get as close as you can to whatever your trying to hunt and throw something heavy at it the if that fails run it down and break it.
"Aeva processor engaging combat system"
A female voice in Seridaxon's head said, Seridaxon's face was instantly concealed under a plated helmet clinking and ticking into place in time with the twisting gears on the side of his head, his eyes lit up blue and more blue light began glowing out from between his adumantine plating.
"Aeva combat system engaged"
The voice said again, as the world Seridaxon looked upon began giving off readings.
"wind moving north-west, target is 150 meters in front of you to the south-east, estimating distance and time of engagement at sprinting speed... 7 seconds"
Seridaxon began running forward towards a person sitting on a horse.

Earthly World
Riley awoke at the sound of a train buzzing past his small Newyork apartment. "Ugh," he moaned as he pulled the covers over his head.
He had dreamed that same dream again for the past 5 nights in a row. Riley glanced at the clock by his bed. 10:30 am it read. He would be late for the airport! He whipped off the covers and pulled on a t-shirt, slipping on his headphones at the exact same time. Finally findina a pair of ripped jeans he had, he bustled out his apartment to meet his friend.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All the way over on the cab ride, he had been thinking of it. The tree in his dreams stood as tall as the empire state building and the statue of liberty maybe taller. He rode the cab and finally ran out as soon as the airport approached, forgetting to pay the indian man driving. He rushed through the public place, his back hair uncombed and tangled, his odd grungy clothes flapping as he picked up speed. After what seemed like hours of patdowns, Riley finally made it to the airport where hir childhood friend Sarah had stood waiting. She looked impatient and as soon as she saw Riley she stormed over. "You kept me waiting all this time?!" she almost yelled through the airort. "We could have done so much! But now I have to leave."
"You know I'm not good with time Sarah." he said wiping the sleep from his eyes, the dream still playing inhis head. "I had that dream again."
"Give me a hug." demanded Sarah.
Riley had givin in and hugged his friend goodbye. "I hope you have a great time in Scotland."
"Oh I will!" said Sarah "You promised to write me every day! Don't forget!" said Sarah as she tool hold of her suitcase and ran towards her flight which was leaving at that exact moment.
Riley stood and watched. It seemed that everyone had left him and now his best friend would soon be leaving too. Watching the plane take off, Riley headed home to think about his next song. It was a melody inspired by his dream of a glowing green tree and it reapeated the same chant over and over again.

Mystro sat in the night...staring at the moon. He was waiting for something, chanting ominously in his head "Wait for the night with no moon." He stared at the moon as if he was enchanted. He had no idea where he was, why he was there, or when it was. He was not aware that this night was the end of an old year to bring in the new times. He did not know where he was from, nor did he know his own age. All he knew was that he was not human, but in fact a dragoon, his name, and his specialty in weaponry. He didn't even know his second best weapon.
He could not sleep yet again. He had to always be on guard, because this area he was was a very dangerous place to be. No matter where he turned, or what direction he walked, he coud not be safe. he watched as the moon go down and the sun came up. He never liked to be too far from the shore, so he could see it in the distance as he looked off with a desire for a unique sort of freedom.
"Will I ever remember? Who I am? Where i came from? Why I'm here?"
He was constantly doubting himself. Was the direction he starred off to the right way? there was no point in staying, or he would not last in this land. He had to escape, and if taking a bad route over an endless ocean was the risk, it was all worth it. He HAD to try his luck. It would be stupid not to. He waited as the day passed by...
Any normal traveler would search for civilization, but he chose to reamain as idle as possible. If he were to move his area, he may run into worse trouble than he was already in. all he knew of this land was the area he could see.
He didnt know it, but a series of events was about to happen. He had a feeling something stirred far north of him.
Could this be his answer to who he is? He only could wait for the moonless sky, and hope.

A loud rumbling filled the air and Ahrexian did what came naturally. Lifting himself 6 inches off the ground he headed towards the edge of the forest, in the direction of North Siard. He heard the client stumble behind him but with trees rocking on either side of him, roots pulling at the ground, all he cared about now was getting out alive.
He flew out of the edge of the forest bringing himself down to land on the ground a safe distance away. As he turned to check what had happened to the man he was being paid to protect, the man tripped, cutting his arm on a branch. Ahrexian ran the few hundred metres and dragged the man from the edge of the woods avoiding falling branches as the ground continued to shake.
Brushing his shoulder length hair out of his eyes he tended carefully to the man's cut, when he heard heavy footsteps a behind him. Turning his head he saw a man??? in heavy armour sprinting towards a woman on a horse. Leaving the client where he was, Arexian headed towards the rider as a fast jog, keeping his weapon well out of sight, he didn't want things to get awkward until he had been paid for this protection contract.

As soon as the earthquake passed, Virginia tried to get the horse to move but he was paying attention to a very tall man decked in armor running towards her at high speed. In addition, another man with not as much armor was coming down the road. "Schifezza..." (Shit...) she attempted to turn her horse and head into the forest to try and avoid the two.
If I don't believe in him, why would he believe in me?

The tree's whizzed pass as Orin ran through the trees in a fast pace. The quake had not reduced his speed at all. He ran throught the forest until finally he saw the Siard castle in the distance. Brandishing his newly formed balde Orin sensed others in the area. He heard the sound of a horse. "Tehe! That means he must be close. The object he possesses is what matters the most!" he muttered.
After walking a small while he spotted the man traveling to Siard. The man's protection was nowhere to be seen. "Surely he's protecting some how." muttered Orian hiding behind a bush getting ready to strike. "Only a matter of time before it's finished and all the world will begin to diminish."

"Secondary target spotted, analyzing"
The voice in Seridaxon's head said as he sprinted past trees part of his vision zoomed in on the man running towards him as he continued to pick up speed.
"Target analyzed, prepare to engage?"
The voice asked a moment later.
"Prepare to engage" Seridaxon mumbled as tree branches smashed and splintered across his chest.
"Prepared to engage, may i suggest a weapon?"
The feminine voice said as Seridaxon's vision zoomed away from the man and then zoomed in on a huge oak tree.
"Yes you may Aeva" Seridaxon replied aloud as he ran past the huge tree he reached out with his colossal arm and smashed the tree as close to the base as he could severing the tree completely, Seridaxon moved his feet so he spun around in a full circle, at the same time he reached out with his other hand and grabbed the tree then threw it with all his strength towards the man running towards him, as he continued to pick up running speed Seridaxon saw the person on the horse move towards the trees.
"Primary target leaving immediate area, continue to prepare for engagement with second target?"
Seridaxon thought for a moment...
"Yes we shall have some fun first"
"You do not intend on killing these people?"
"No not today i simply want answers" Seridaxon said as he continued running.
OOC:Just so you know Garnet the tree is moving towards you horizontally about 4 foot from the ground.

((MOD OOC: Just a reminder, if you've only got an OOC comment to make, please do so in the discussion thread. Thanks. ))
Kyrie crossed her Windswords above her head, blocking the downward stroke of the kendo. Spinning out from underneath the blow, she swiped across with her scimitar, hoping to catch the enemy off-balance and gash his stomach. Her enemy jumped back in the nick of time, avoiding the blow. Kyrie followed with an upward reverse slice of her cutlass. That was deflected as the enemy brought their kendo down parallel to Kyrie.
Kyrie's blow knocked the kendo up above her enemy's head, and she took adavantage of his exposed state by landing a swift kick to the solar plexus. The kick drove the wind from the enemy and doubled him over. Kyrie pressed her advantage and leapt at her enemy's shoulders, knocking them to the ground. She pinned their arms to the ground and pressed her scimitar against their throat.
"Yield." It was not a question. It was a statement. The enemy gave a grunt and the slightest of nods. Kyrie released their right arm and the enemy removed their protective mask.
"Well done, lass." The old Battle Master was red in the face from the exertion of the mock fight. As Kyrie's trainer for the last several years, he had grown attached to the young Scout, and they sparred virtually every day. It had been a year since Kyrie had failed to best her tutor.
Kyrie stood and offered her hand to help the old man up. Just as he got to his feet, a rumble shook the small shelf in the mountainside on which they stood. The Battle Master paused in a seated position and looked around. "What was..." Then the earthquake exploded the rock face around them in a shower of debris. Stumbling, Kyrie helped her tutor up and they both scrabbled over to the relative safety of the switchback path in the side of the mountain.
When the shaking stopped, Kyrie looked around. When her gaze reached the direction of the Mana Tree, visible on the horizon at this northern latitude, she saw a plume of smoke. "Bernard, look." The old man followed Kyrie's eyes. He immediately knew something was wrong. And that it would engulf the whole continent.
"Go, lass. Go quickly."
"But what about the Elders?"
"I'll tell them. They'll understand."
"Should I ... ?"
"No, you will need all the strength you can muster when you arrive, I should think."
Nodding, Kyrie took off down the mountain at full clip. She ran due east, making haste toward the Mana Tree.
