Neither, I guess. I haven't seen American Dad, and I never will. I've seen several clips of Family Guy on youtube, and some are funny, I suppose. But not overly hilarious or anything.

Family Guy just literally rocks my socks off. Stewie's evil is just pure genius and Quagmire kills me. I watch it every single night on Adult Swim and honestly I haven't seen one episode yet that I dislike. I tried to watch American Dad but I found it kinda stupid and pointless...

Family Guy definitely surpasses American Dad. Same developers and such, but it really does lack the humour which FG offers.
Granted not all Family Guy episodes are masterpieces, but the majority of which are well-worth watching by all means.

True and hilarious. Family Guy over American Dad any day. I'm not saying that American Dad isn't all that funny; it is, but not as knee-slappingly hilarious as FG.

Family Guy is pure genius. I used to be a massive Simpsons fan, but Family Guy took over really. It's certainly more tounge in cheek than The Simpsons and it's just so random.
Seeing Peter beat up a 12 year old kid and then hiding up a tree for example

I've seen loads of family guy but only a few episodes of American Dad. So my opinion towards Family Guy might be a bit biased.

It's actually quite disappointing that American Dad isn't getting more recognition. Sure, it's not as good as Family Guy but people always seem to think American Dad is crap and not funny. It's like some of the more mediocre episodes of Family Guy, which isn't bad at all.

I think I've seen all of about one or two episodes of each since their debuts and of the two, Family Guy manged to make me laugh once or twice. So... votes for Family Guy!
