What is the point of this game?

but really no storyline was shown just some badass with a bunch of weapons flying around him pwning all those noobs in armour whats the story or better yet whats that dudes name? and why did he raid clouds closet?

Okay....There is already a thread about the battle system and the main characters name. There is barely any information out for FFXIII versus.
