Yeah its coming out around the same time and is a kind of spin-off. From what we've heard though, it seems more of an independant game set in the same world.

Yep, Zexion is absolutely correct. It's going to be a completely different story, same world, different time period. The release will be at the same time. The game will just take place in the same world at different points in its history -> (See: Ivalice)

From what I have gathered, it will be released later than FFXIII. How much so, I am not sure. Probably months or a year. They are different, but share the same common 'mythos.'
