Thanks for posting this! I'm making these notes as I watch-and-pause, so they may seem a little disjointed.
1. The intro sounds classy, and quoting Shakespeare makes me think "nice touch" and "this game takes itself too seriously" simultaneously. The city reminds me of the World That Never Was.
2. Instead of calling the main character Dude-Tifa, I'm going to go with him being a clone of Paine, as ihatemacs suggested.
3. "Wow" at the swords. That's it.
Nice music, and it does have that dark, hopeless feel everyone's been talking about, which is a lot different from the XIII trailer. The main character looks young, though. With all of this talk about kings protecting an isolated country, I was picturing someone a little older.
In conclusion, this trailer makes me hate the PS3 for being so expensive. I want to play this game now. In that sense, the trailer works. I don't need to pine for Versus before XIII is even out. I haven't even started XII yet. Woe.

Yeah, the trailer is awsome. Now that I'm a member of FFXIII.net I will try to keep you all updated to the news related to this great game. (or you can go and see for yourself, it's your choice)
I hate, Sony......PS3 too expensive. I guess I'll will have to stay with Wii.

Yep, trailer is awesome I loved it, what I found dissappointing is its nothing more than the screens we saw, so I didnt really see anything new out of the trailer.
I have a PS3 and so far its a great system, Motorstorm demo looks like alot of fun. Ridge Racer 7 at 1080p is just amazing, I love the graphics. And looking at RR7, FF13 is very very possible (i mean the in-game part).

I've just watched the trailer and all i can say is 'wow' i cant wait to see more i am really excited about both Final Fantasy XIII's but first i have to wait for the PS3 to be released over here and the price to drop

That.....was.....just.....ASOME!!!! I want that game NOW!!! It looks very cool. Can't wait must....have game now. Man I really hate it when Square Enix releases trailers that look really cool and the game isn't even close to being done.
