Atelier Sophie Coming To PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, And PlayStation Vita

Update: Famitsu confirms Atelier Sophie is the next Atelier title. "Alchemy" and "book" are the themes for the game. Atelier Sophie is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.

The next game in the Atelier series appears to be Atelier Sophie. In addition to the trademark filed by Koei Tecmo Games, early Japanese magazine reports state Atelier Sophie is on the cover of this week’s Dengeki PlayStation. It appears Atelier Sophie has two artists working on the game.

Will probably get this for PS4...unless the Vita version gets a proper physical release, anyway. A release on all three platforms means I'm probably not going to be obliged to buy the slightly-barely-worth-mentioning upgraded Plus version in a couple of years as well. Despite the Dusk trilogy being somewhat forgettable and lacklustre when compared to the Arland trilogy, I have great expectations. If nothing else, the soundtrack is going to be amazing.

Atelier Sophie Trailer Takes Us On A Short Stroll Through Its Land

Gust previously shared some story details and a teaser trailer for Atelier Sophie, and the latest video shows an extended look at the trailer, where we get to see Sophie walk around in different parts of the game.

While the footage is light, we can see Sophie walking around in different settings, with a town, a field in the afternoon and night, and running through the rain. We then get another look at Sophie and her partner Prachta.

Atelier Sophie: Alchemist of the Mysterious Book will release in Japan on September 25, 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.

You can also check out our earlier report for more details on the story and how Sophie meets Prachta.

Atelier Sophie’s New Character Can Duplicate Items In Exchange For Her Height

Gust just shared a look at Atelier Sophie: Alchemy of the Mysterious Book’s newest character, Corneria, in an issue of this week’s Japanese video game magazines. [Thanks, Ruliweb.]

Corneria is voiced by Yui Kondo, and she wears what appears to be a combination of bells and a mini-China dress to go with pink hair. She’s an alchemist like Sophie, and runs a general store in town.

She has the ability to create identical copies of things, but since this power makes her height shrink bits at a time whenever she uses it, she has decided on saving the power for the time being.

Corneria is an easygoing person who goes at her own pace, and has been looking for her father.

Atelier Sophie: Alchemist of the Mysterious Book will release in Japan on September 25, 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.
