Street Fighter 5 Video Shows First M. Bison Gameplay
Dictator returns with a new look and some new moves.

Capcom has released a new Street Fighter V gameplay trailer, showing off the latest iteration of series villain M. Bison.

Fans of the series may notice a number of key changes to M. Bison in the video. From a visual design perspective, he now has grey hair, suggesting the character has aged significantly.

Street Fighter's Dictator also isn't sporting his usual flowing cape (similar to his Street Fighter IV iteration), and now has a slick new trench coat. Beyond his look, M. Bison also seems to have gained a few new abilities.

The first shown is a Psycho Power-imbued shockwave type attack that launches his opponent, Charlie, into the air. This is followed up with a grab and, interestingly, an ability that allows him to nullify incoming projectiles and fire them back.

His teleport returns but, in the video, seemingly has much less recovery time, allowing M. Bison to chain them quite close together. Enemies in the air can be caught with a Psycho Orb-like ability.

Although Capcom hasn't detailed the game's mechanics, it looks like Bison's activate puts him in a powered up state that gives him access to a bunch of new moves, including a teleport headstomp, and a knee-press with follow-up bicycle kicks.

Naturally, his ultra move is a new variation of the Psycho Crusher.

Street Fighter V was announced in December and is in development exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PC. Capcom has confirmed it will feature cross-platform play between both systems.

Recently, Capcom announced that it plans to run a public beta test that it claims will be the "largest and most ambitious online beta program in franchise history." A date for when it will begin hasn't been shared, but we do know you can guarantee yourself access by preordering the game.

STREET FIGHTER V TWO NEW CHARACTERS LEAK!

sfvcammy.jpg

Looks like info from E3 is leaking all over the place. This time it’s about the two characters getting revealed, fans should be excited as Cammy and Birdie join the cast of Street Fighter V the sources come from a German Magazine . Here’s a translation from the site.

“Among the already known participants Ryu , Chun – Li , Nash and M. Bison , the veterans Cammy White and Birdie join . Cammy plays fast as ever , the lively lady sets primarily on speed and melee attacks . Birdie on the other hand is a huge chunk , he cuts neatly and puts a lot . The Colossus is very immobile , but his iron chain has a not to be underestimated coverage . Therefore, the giant in the current pre-release is also clearly too strong . Here Capcom still has screws on the balance !”

We will have impressions for Street Fighter V next week as E3 Approaches.

Street Fighter V Will Let You Unlock DLC Characters (And More) For Free

Capcom announced new details on Street Fighter V at EVO 2015, and here are the three promises they’re making for the upcoming fighter:

The initial release is the only disc you will ever need to own
All balance and system adjustments will be available for free
All post-launch gameplay related content will be earnable for free by playing the game
That last point is exactly what it sounds like—all gameplay content, including new characters, will be available to players for free, if they care to put in the effort to earn it by playing the game.

Street Fighter V will launch with 16 playable characters, with four of them being brand new. Post-launch, Capcom will add new characters and content to the game, just as with past Street Fighter iterations. Additionally, if you care to purchase new content instead of earning it, you will be able purchase content individually, and ignore the items you don’t want.

Necalli Revealed As A New Character For Street Fighter V

https://youtu.be/OzrPqNHB1bo

Momochi just won the Ultra Street Fighter IV

tournament at the Evolution 2015 Championship Series against GamerBee in a hard-fought grand finals. Prior to the major event, Capcom revealed the newest character with Necalli. Here are some details from the PlayStation Blog on the new character:

Hailing from a mysterious background, Necalli utilizes a wild, animalistic fighting style to brutalize his opponents. There’s no finesse here as all of his attacks have been forged through the heat of battle to inflict maximum pain upon his opponents. However, beneath the surface of the crazed warrior lies a hidden genius that is unleashed upon V-Trigger activation.

Players who enjoy a straight forward, hard hitting character will feel right at home with Necalli, as he possesses a wide variety of savage, close range attacks, as well as a command grab, all with the goal of demolishing his foes.

Necalli pounds the ground with both fists, creating an explosion from the ground that damages the opponent. By holding the joystick left, right or leaving it at neutral, players can control the distance the explosion travels, allowing him to pressure opponents from afar.

Necalli channels a mysterious energy that warps his hair color and completely changes his personality for a short period of time. While in his powered up state, he gains access to new combos, new frame data, and even a new Critical Art!

Two New Street Fighter 5 Characters Are Out Today

Capcom has announced the next two characters coming to Street Fighter 5: G and Sagat. While both characters were already revealed, their release dates were unclear. At EVO 2018, however, it was confirmed that both characters will be available on August 6. You can watch the trailer for Sagat above and G below.

G is a brand new character to the fighting game series and is the self-styled president of the world. More information about him was provided on the Capcom Unity blog, where he's described as "a mysterious new character who wishes to unify the world as its president. He decides to spread his message in ways the modern world can understand: through social media.

"Initially, he doesn't receive much attention until Rashid comes across his videos and decides to help amplify G's message to the people. That being said, there's much more to G than meets the eye." The blog continues: "G has a unique move set that utilizes his role as the President of the World and his mysterious origins. During a fight, his Presidentiality level can be seen next to the V-Gauge in the form of an icon representing the Earth. By using G Charge, G absorbs power from the Earth to increase his Presidentiality level to 3. The higher his Presidentiality level is, the more powerful his special moves are. However, if G is knocked down, the Presidentiality level will go down."

Sagat, meanwhile, is one of Street Fighter's most iconic characters and a fan-favorite. His latest incarnation looks to be as fearsome as ever, with high damage potential and the ability to control space with his Tiger Shots.

"In Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Sagat has become a hermit in a secluded village and must overcome his inner demons," Capcom explains. "Sagat's iconic move set remains true to his past appearances in the Street Fighter series. Tiger Shot is a projectile that changes speeds depending on which punch button you press and cannot hit crouching opponents. Grand Tiger Shot (Low Tiger Shot in previous titles) can hit crouching opponents, but deals less damage and is less safe. Tiger Uppercut is a dragon punch-style attack that can be used as an anti-air or a reversal. Tiger Knee Crush (Tiger Knee in previous titles) is a quick lunge that can close the distance between Sagat and his opponent."

Both G and Sagat are available individually for $6/£6 or 100,000 Fight Money or as part of the Season 3 Character Pass for $30/£25. This pass also unlocks access to Sakura, Blanka, Falke, and Cody. Purchasing the characters also gives you their Battle Costumes with colors 3-10 and default costume colors 3-10.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is a new, updated version of its Capcom's flagship fighting game. In GameSpot's Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition review we awarded the game a 9/10, saying it finally "feels like a complete package," after being quite barebones at launch.

"It has always been a strong fighting game that continues to get better over time, but it remained a game for genre enthusiasts. Arcade Edition, however, is a game that you can confidently recommend to anyone. Two years after its launch, Street Fighter V is finally fighting fit."
