We've got choices between the GBA, Android/iPhone, the PS1, and the NES. (Are there more?) I'm starting the Android version now. Just finished the FF1 Droid port. Which do you think is the best? Considering how inactive this section is, I welcome input about other legacy FF's because I'm playing them all on my phone.

I'd say 'best' is relative in this case, depending on if you want true 8/16-bit sprites or the oddly cheaper-looking modern ones. If you like the higher-resolution style, then the Android port is for you. Otherwise PS1 is the best quality of the classic version since it was CD-based instead of cartridge-based. I'm not aware of any major translation differences that would set one version apart for its script, so I'd go for PS1, personally. If portability is a concern, both the PSP and PS Vita are capable of playing the PS1 Classics version of Final Fantasy Origins, which has both FFI and II. So yeah, I'd say PS1 hands down.
