With the recent implement of the GP currency and how it is tied with the Gil system, we will have to set some limitations for both currency in order to sustain a balance for item purchases that works for new and old members.

Due to a glitch that happened a few years ago when the Gil currency was first implemented, some of our veteran members were able to acquire thousands of Gil and deposited to their bank, thus avoiding several wipes on users' accounts while we were trying to figure out some adjustments. To this day, we have a few members who have over 100,000 - 1,000,000 Gil in their bank due to this glitch and collecting hefty amount of interest (over 3,000 Gil daily) because of it. This is actually not normal and surely you can understand our issue with it. It complicates a lot of things that the administration is trying to do for our staff and members via the MogShop, especially now that monetary gift cards have been implemented through the GP currency.

So with that said, we'll have to make official rules and guidelines that should be adhered to, staff members included. Failure to comply with this will result in having your Gil manually adjusted so that it meets the site's preferred balance.

Rules & Regulations

Gil:

-If for whatever reason a member decides to leave the forums (whether temporarily or permanently), a member may decide to donate their Gil to others. Donations is definitely allowed here, but huge amounts of donations (especially when members shouldn't have more than 50,000 Gil in the first place unless there's suspicious activity in the past or the glitch that occurred as mentioned in the above) won't be accepted. The max amount that a member leaving the forums can donate to one user account is 1,000 Gil. No exception.

-If you have more than 50,000 Gil total in your account now (both Bank and Wallet), we must request that you donate the rest of the amount to FFFBank, no later than October 31st, 2014. We will take into consideration that some of the Gil earned were valid donations from members and staff members (won from contests and events, etc), interest collection throughout the years, posting, creating threads, etc. However, non-staff members should not have any more than 50,000 in their account at this time.

GP:

-Same as the above, if a member decides to leave the forums, they may ask to have their GP donated to someone. This is okay and we will honor that. But a user leaving the forums can only donate 3 GP total to one user account.

Gil Donations:

-Donations in general will now have a limit. Unless you are a staff member, you may only donate a total of 50 Gil per month to one user account to avoid exploitation of the donation system. This is also to ensure fairness to new and old members in case the exclusive and expensive items go on sale in the shop.

**Just to clarify, we're not setting a limit to how much Gil you can earn in total. 50,000 Gil is merely the limit at this current time, until October 31st so we can take the time to make adjustments, answer questions, and move on.

GP Donations: (Gift cards)

-Due to monetary system involved here, there will be restrictions. GP donation via Mogshop > Bank is allowed to a certain extent (events like Secret Santa, for example), thus any donations for the purpose of exploiting the gift card system is forbidden. Please do not abuse this feature. We expect individual members to earn their own way when it comes to rewards, most especially the gift cards, so any questionable transactions and activity will be looked into before gift cards are distributed. This is to ensure that we don't have a bunch of users collecting GP only to donate to one or two users for easy access to gift cards. Only use the GP donation if certain events call for it, but in general, we make it a point not to use GP donation via Bank unless it's under special circumstances.

If you have any questions, please contact the administrators via PM and we will discuss things further.
