Good Morning

So I was thinking I'd come back around to ask.. what inspires you? If you at any time during a day feel you saw, witnessed, observed something that made you think to yourself.. you must push forward.. List it and why.

I'll start.

I went to a thing called "Mississippi Warrior Dash." It was actually pretty clumsy of an event, but I did get to an obstacle where a bunch of people helped each other get over a huge wall. It sort of set me back at first getting all bunched up, but it was good to see people pushing each other to get over what seemed like impossible at first.

It was a good sight.

Gonna stick this thread. Didn't even see this until now, and this is an inspiring topic after all.

Reading HONY (Humans of New York), a Facebook page inspired me today. I read something about a daughter reading her mother's journal when she passed away. It makes me think back on the journals I've written since I was 13 years old. Never read any of them...I'm kind of afraid to do so. But I do remember writing something like, "I wonder if my kids will laugh at me when they read this." Me, at 13, already thinking about kids. Haha. And now I'm 28 years old, two kids of my own, one about to master reading his ABC's, and the other almost old enough to start reading my journals back then. I'll give it three more years.

But definitely inspired me to start writing on my journals again. It's been a couple years since I made an entry. When I'm gone, the idea of my kids reading my journals to their kids...well, that would be really something.

I'll bite ona reply to this one! :p

Having my brother just hit 16 years of age and watching him turn into a really good sports star in baseball and basketball has inspired me to be more for him during his big moments now that I'm in teh area more. He's almost an exact replica of me looks-wise and after being gone for 4-plus years and living a schedule-hectic life, it's good to spend some brother-brother time together and let him know I'm there for him as he hits critical and sometimes nerve-racking years in his life.

Looking to set a good example for his life and help him when he's got questions about what he's about to embark on after high school.

I think what's inspiring me right now, is the environment I'm in. I've always been an optimistic person, wishful thinker... so I'm just pushing and waiting for the right moments. Both my boyfriend and I are saving up the monies to get a bigger living space. I've lost my job a while back, and I feel the need to provide is at my upmost high right now. I've had money saved up , but the cost of living is so damn expensive it's crazy. The lack of my financial support for my boyfriend has inspired me to create a list of goals I've set for myself and my wants on the side... to keep a closer eye on the money we do have.

Growing up in the suburban area, my dad having a secure job, I was a spoiled little girl. I think about how hard it is being an adult now, and living on my own.

It wasn't today, but the other day I was looking at nicely designed homes and apartments and it inspired me to rearrange my room and to design it into something more vibrant using what I already have. Thing is, I've moved the important big stuff but now I'm too lazy to finish the design part. There's just a lot of thinking, so it's mentally draining. Now I'm procrastinating on it so my room's pretty messy. -_-

Been inspired by the Nike+ Running App on my phone lately as weird as that may sound. Yes, an app inspired me. I know Shu is on it on my friend's list and I see him and others running farther distances more often than I so I'm motivated and inspired to get back into running more to stay healthy, but also measure up my achievements against others I know.

Ah, the small things.

There was a walk-in session just across the street from my lecture hall with some newly qualified solicitors from a regional firm and they were having a quick talk with us about their areas of practice and the challenge that inevitably comes with their job. It's very possible that they had to project it even if it may not be entirely sincere, but I thought their passion was inspiring - a passion of both specialising in esoteric little fields of the law, the passion when it comes to pleasing clients, and a really positive attitude that really befits a work culture that fits them like a glove.

Gonna stalk this firm a wee bit in the event that they're open for applications!

I was going to actually say "inspired" in the What's Your Mood thread until I saw this topic right below it because I'm actually inspired today.

Watching the movie Southpaw, just inspiration to get out and make the most of your life even when certain circumstances make it tough.

I'm inspired by the fact that today is Friday and its the last day of the work week for me :britt:
Which that means that hopefully everybody follows along and works fast tonight. Fuck staying late at work on a Friday!

This is gonna sound weird, but I inspired myself. The fax machine was down at work and I had to phone around all the customers for orders and stuff and even when they were right bitchy about having to go into the 21st century and use emails for orders, I worked around them. I'm so bad at talking too so I felt pretty great :ryan:. I also helped the IT guy to fix said fax machine (you'll remember this machine as my co-worker, if you remember that spam thread lmao) and set up our new (awkward) printer.

I inspired myself to be great today :monocle:.

Had a small shoulder injury (small = 5 months recovery), and am now just feeling back in the game and ready to jump into the rigorous physical activities I was doing pre-injury. I bruised my rotator cuff diving for a fly ball in softball and all gym work has been thrown out the window and certain sports. Now with a military fitness test coming up, I still feel a bit of the pressure in my shouder, but it's way better than it was over the Fall/Winter!
