Balthier in Lion War?

"Square Enix has revealed a new character class for their upcoming Final Fantasy Tactics remake for the PSP. The new job class is the Dark Knight so lets hope they don't end up emo and useless like the ones in Final Fantasy XI.

Furthermore, Final Fantasy XII's Balthier is set to make an appearance in the game. However he won't just be a random guest character (like Cloud), but will actually play a role in Ramza's story."



i found this on square enix forum... it talks about a new job class and a new playable character, which is going to be Balthier from FFXII. And he is supposed to be a main character that is vital to the story

Honestly i am pissed that they are going to alter a great game and storyline to fit this cameo character in....it was awkward enough putting cloud as a secret character but adding balthier as a main character is just dumb...let me know what you guys think

Well, seeing as this is nearly the same game, and Gafgarion being a dark knight, and he had good abiltiy, that means he may have the same skills, and maybe more.

Balithier being a main character, though, is interesting to think about. I dont have any ideas about it, but still, its a nice touch.

Well, I see it as another attempt to draw from a more popular ff game to give FFT a chance, if he is an optional character, I'd get him for completeness sake but not really use him too much, kinda like what I did with Cloud in the PS1 version.

Hey, its a "main character" did you read that? That means you have to have him. Cloud on the other hand, had no bearing on the story.

I say leave FF tactics the way it is. It is the second best game I have ever played. I like it how it is.

Well, seems like their's not that much changes, hopefully the battle system will be the same with a FEW MINOR tweaks, tweaks,not changes, and a few new jobs,but apart from that, was one of my fave games, i loved stealing enemies lol.

What?! NOOO.

Yeah, I'm not sure how Balthier would fit into the original story. Because... there really isn't a place for him, unless they just add something useless to Chapter 1. (It was kind of short.) Or maybe they'll replace Mustadio. I've heard a lot of people say they hate Mustadio, but I like him.

In any case, I have no PSP, so nothing I say matters.
