I can't seem to get back to the Black Mage village on Disc 3

So I'm on Disc 3 and I'm supposed to go back to the Black Mage village. I've been playing the game off and on so I don't really remember how the party got there in the first place. But anyway, I'm on the continent that it's on but there are mountains and shit everywhere and I can't seem to get to it. The random encounters are driving me insane and I really can't try and figure it out on my own anymore. I'm going to shoot myself soon (not for real. lol)

Can someone please instruct me on how to get into the village? Or point me to a walkthrough video. I feel like such an idiot for this but I'm getting really frustrated by the random encounters to the point that I can't think straight on how to get past the mountains and into the damn village.

if you go from the area you first arrive there, bottom of the continent, you just need to walk to the left, and up through the forest to get to it, it's in like, a little alcove thing of the forest

I kept walking right past it. Now I feel like such an idiot. lol.
