[FF I and II Week] Comic Strip Competition
After Final Fantasy III and V Week, it'll be time to celebrate Final Fantasy I and II!
(16th to 23rd July)

In light of this piece of information, I thought it would be fitting to do something based around these staples: chocobos, moogles, Cid and the airship...
So what's the challenge?
After @Gingerbread Man's suggestion, I want members to create a 1-6 panel comic strip using these. You can use as many of the FF staples (or as few) as you like, but it has to focus on them.
Rules:
- You may bring in FF characters from either FFI or FFII; you can give the FFI character your own, made-up personality or use a few details from FFII to represent one of its characters.
- Please do NOT use characters from FFs III - XIV.
- You MUST use 1 to 6 panels.
- It doesn't have to be funny, but this is recommended - can you make our members laugh?
I envisage two basic scenarios. Feel free to use and develop these:
Due date: 15th July, which will allow me to post the voting thread on the morning of the 16th.

Must the events in the comic strip be something related to FFI or FFII? Because there's hardly any interesting events in FFI and II involving staples that could be made into a funny comic strip
FFI and II don't even have moogles. FFI has no living chocobos.

Thanks! But if I focus on the gameplay mechanics, then won't it be counted as not focusing on staple FF icons?

You'd have to use the staples to explore those mechanics.
I envisage two basic scenarios:
1. The comic strip is ABOUT the staples but uses FFI or FFII characters to meet them; perhaps the main character from FFII sees a wild chocobo in one panel, then meets a quirky Cid character in the next.
2. The staples are used to create a mini scene, which could explore other aspects of either FFI or FFII such as the gameplay mechanics.

Despite my enthusiasm, my muse has failed me so far.
I've had one idea, not a good one, but I'll probably sketch it up quickly before Wednesday just so that we have another entry.
Thanks go to Hayabusa and my Secret Scotsman for the sigs.

I would gladly participate but I never got around to finishing these games. I barely played them. Nevertheless this is not really my type of competition
The following Auron's quote should be used in a suicide booth:
"Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain or live to fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!"

Same as Omegadruid...I haven't played much of FFI or II. I've played enough to come up with a basic comic strip, but I just plain couldn't think of anything

The due date has been extended again to Sunday the 22nd, as late as you wish.
I'm going away on the 23rd, so will need to post the thread up that morning.
