Backstory [FFXII spoiler warning]:

"Though it is not common knowledge, when the Occuria bestowed the Sword of Kings upon Ivalice's first Dynast King, Raithwall, they did not merely give him a task, they gave him a focus. Raithwall was to use the Sword to cut shards from the Sun-Cryst, dubbed 'the mother of all nethecite' for its great power, that through him the Occuria might regain control over an Ivalice cast into turmoil and unite its people beneath the new Dynast King's reign.

For completing his focus, Raithwall was granted wealth and rulership over the united Ivalice and possession of the three nethecite shards which he cut from the Sun-Cryst. Had he failed his focus, the consequence would have been that Raithwall himself became a large chunk of nethecite not unlike the Sun-Cryst for another Occuria l'cie to use.

The Occuria l'cie brand itself is, in fact, a reflection of the Sun-Cryst and its container.

Entry 2:

Description:
This is an l'cie brand by the fal'cie Ultros from the FFVI world. Ultros uses its tentacles to brand innocent humans. The l'cies will then be given an unknown focus. Most focuses given are related to acts of mischief and thievery. Failure to complete it will transform the l'cie into an additional tentacle to Ultros. Success in completing the focus will transform the l'cie into the strong monster that serves Ultros, Typhon. It's not a very happy fate either way.

I'm voting for Entry#1!
I can tell how much effort is put into the l'cie brand and the evolution of the symbol! It's so creative and artistic! So much detail. I love the background story. It's surprisingly convincing.


Remember, non-clan members can vote too! We need everyone's support.

There's a lot of detail in the story and I feel it fits in nicely with the story of XII! Methinks you have stumbled across one of Square's secrets.

The brand itself is well designed and I was rather impressed by the illustration of its progression.

I also voted for Entry #1. I think that both of the brands were very well executed, but I did enjoy seeing the brand progression for Entry #1 and the backstory was pretty convincing and in-depth! xD
