[FFXIII Week] l'cie brand competition

It's not FFXIII week yet. Yes I know. FFXIII week comes after FFX-2 week. It's not even FFX-2 week yet either. Yes I know. But from now on, we would like to give enough time for people to submit an entry. So this competition guidelines is posted 2 weeks in advance.

Hence we now have 2 competitions running: dressphere and l'cie brand. The dressphere deadline is still the same, i.e. 18th June. Deadline for THIS l'cie brand competition is 25th June.

FFXIII worlds have fal'cies who brand l'cies with tattoos. Notice that a Pulse l'cie brand is different from the Cocoon one. So What IF other planets or other FF worlds have fal'cies who brand the inhabitants too? This competition is a simple drawing competition that does not require much artistic talent. All you have to do is use a black pencil/pen/digital brush/etc, to draw an l'cie brand from a world other than those seen in FFXIII. You can draw using a piece of paper (and then scan/take photo of it), MS paint, GIMP, photoshop, whatever.

Meaning, you can use our earth, other planets in the solar system, other FF worlds (Spira, Gaia, Terra, Ivalice, others), other fictional worlds from movies/books/other games, etc, to base an l'cie brand on. Fancy a recreation of the Yevon symbol? What if Ultimecia brands people? What about a Garland brand? The brands do NOT need to be related to the villain, but it should somehow give a vague relation to the world you are basing it on.

If you decided to use our earth, please refrain from drawing or describing any religious symbols, political symbols or offensive remarks, in order to avoid controversy.




RULES
-In your entry, please state the world you are basing the l'cie brand on.
-Draw the l'cie brand based on that world. In order for it to be similar to FFXIII's brands, please only use black color, aside from very minor addition of other colors.
-This is totally optional, but you may have a higher chance of winning if you also draw a progressive evolution containing the different stages of the brand, just like in FFXIII:


-Another optional point is a brief description on the background story of the brand. What happens if the individual fails the focus? What happens if he/she succeeds? etc

Take note that the more stuff you include, the higher the chance of winning. Though quality and creativity of the brand still matters.

Not me I'm afraid I've left it way to late to get something decent done in time. Sorry to let the clan down Lirael, I'm pretty dissapointed 'cause I was looking forward to it as well. Oh well, there'll be the next art competition

I would, but honestly I'm not a good drawer and I'm not really creative. I'll definitely do a singing competition since I figured out I can record on my phone, and maybe the FFIV haiku competition. But drawing is not my thing. I hope people do enter though
