[FF Clans] General Chat and Introductions

Here is where FF clan members discuss about anything they want. It can be related to FF or it can be a casual discussion of other topics. It is mainly a platform for us to get to know one another better. It is also a place for new members to introduce themselves.

To start off, here are some general questions you can use as reference:

-When was your first FF experience?
-What makes you love FF so much? What really motivated you to join the FF clans?

-When was your first FF experience?
In 2004/2005. I needed a change from Zelda and was looking for a series with a good story. A friend of a friend recommended Final Fantasy, specifically X and X-2... Due to not having a PS2, the first two games I picked up were actually VIII and Crystal Chronicles. I didn't get along with VIII at all and thought CC was average. I therefore saved up to buy a PS2 with X and X-2. The moment I heard To Zanarkand, I fell in love with the series. I played FF for years purely because of their story; the gameplay has grown on me - I love the battle system in X most, but all of the battle systems are enjoyable.

-What makes you love FF so much?
The stories and characters primarily. Most of the time, they're pretty strong; VI to X was certainly the golden era, but the others possess good characters and plot points too! The battle system and gameplay has grown on me over time; most of them are quite clever and well developed, though I can't say I love the systems in XII, XIII or XIII-2. They are enjoyable.

-What really motivated you to join the FF clans?
Well, I want to make sure there's something FF based that's exciting in our community. I truly believe we can make these clans great and create something that's unique amongst FF forums everywhere! who knows, we may even start a trend. I'm also keen on working as a team with other members to build up scores and just have a little bit of FF fun!

-What are your hobbies and interests?
I have such a variety... I love reading - both fiction and non fiction - which is one reason I am training to become an English teacher. I enjoy writing too, though I don't do this nearly enough. I may take part in some of the competitions to see if I can get back into it! I also enjoy using Photoshop to create GFX, drawing (I love designing my own characters for books), playing the piano (I teach myself and tend to learn FF pieces), cycling (several times a week!), gaming, anime (though I don't watch it as much as I used to)...

-What do you hope to see in the future of FF?
I would like to see an updated version of the turn-based system in X. I also hope they write a coherant yet complex story with convincing characters - much as I love XIII and XIII-2, the ending we have at the moment is just...

I am also in favour of 3 remakes, specifically one of VI, VII and VIII.

-What are your visions of the FF clans?
I'll leave this up to you guys! I have a few ideas, but I'd love to hear yours.

Hi, just want to inform everyone that I will not be able to access my computer from 22nd to 28th of June. If I'm lucky, I may get some wi-fi connection and will be able to check the forums once in a while through my phone. Though that's unlikely.
