When we say stuff like this we are warned or told that it is no excuse etc. Then when the staff say something like that back it is treated as a good put down on us. Surely you shouldn't try and bait the members you know are the most likely to cause grievances

You also didn't stfu about it when I asked you to. On multiple occasions. "Defending" someone only serves to incite the opposing party more. Also, your "defending" looks a lot like insulting someone else for no real reason. So I silenced the lot of you to prevent more issues while I went through the archive to figure out what minor thing you were all bitching about.

You were silenced. You weren't infracted. You weren't even warned, other than the minor request I made of you in the PM I sent later. In fact I even told you that I mostly did it to control traffic and prevent an actual infraction from having to be handed out. I'm sorry you couldn't chat in the SB for all of 10 minutes. I'm sure that has ruined your forum-going experience. But if you would prefer that I didn't act proactively to prevent infractions, and instead just allowed whatever to happen and then retroactively dish out infractions, I can handle that. I'm flexible.

The point is that it's a bit hypocritical to complain about a staff member using virtually the exact same language you do when they are talking to you - for example, when one tells a staffer to "calm the fuck down" may get a bit of a snarky response. Or for being given the same treatment from a staffer that they expect a member who complains to get. When the roles are reversed, those particular members have a tendency to piss and moan about how they're being treated. Yet when they're on the giving end, they don't expect to have any punishment handed out.

In other words, everyone's a victim, and no one is ever at fault.
