So the same thing occurs yesterday with a racist report. You remarked on it, and then Toni accidentally started down a different road due to Isaac side tracked her about Hal. You wanted Staff to get called out on it, but it was "reported" Staff at this point are only acting on reports. In no way will we even censor language, or I myself would resign.

That's why if the report does not hold valid, the person who reported can also be held liable if abusing the system.

This is not to offend you Ari, but again, this would of actually been spoken about on MSN the other day if you chose to talk with Suki or I. Though instead you posted on the forum. The fact is, we have our hands tied ever since Jim was suspended, due to everything was reported to the higher powers than us.

So if you choose to see it as a personal attack. Then what can we do, except, one day saying good bye. If this encroaches your friendship, by us merely acting on what we've been told, then I guess it is what it is. No use crying over spilt milk.

Though what you don't get out of all this is I think you are all excellent people. Ari, you are my friend in fact, as most of you are (on the forums). Though if you get yourself suspended, I'm thinking... well damnit there goes the life of the forum . No one wants anyone gone. No one wants to sit here with a magnifying glass and debate ethics between reported issues.

Though you have to understand what kind of shape this has put all of the staff due to the last 3 months.

Hey Ari,

Just watch out for the name calling in the sb. We had a few reports come off about it last night, and since there was direct evidence about it, not much we can do to overrule it, so I have to give you a warning. Also careful with the fuckoff comment as well in the women's thread (damn that thread). I don't know if that was directed directly as Richard or what, though I would just say ignore him. If he keeps being condescending towards you or anyone else we'll act as well. Though currently nothing can be directly tied to him.

So what am I missing here? Do you need more evidence? Do I need to pull the entire Convo that day? Are you mad because someone is disagreeing with you? Ari I do not dislike you nor targeting you, but you are putting anyone and everyone against a wall when moderating you. I was the first to actually give you a warning/infraction.. and it's sad because you are tossing it in my face like it's going to kill you. We have only given, excuse me I have only given you two warnings and an infraction in which was reversed. It was not reported. I never even admitted to it, I would not lie. The fact is, not everyone knows when you are joking, and that's why we have this very rule:

Who is against you here Ari? I'm a little unsure what personal insults you are referring to? Do you mean when Moony called you ugly? If you reported it, then we of course know it is serious. I probably was even in the room at the time and could of gave a warning.

Just like Toni and Hal. We had to infract unfortunately because it was seen as insulting and not Hal's usual antics.

And no Toni, no one hates you. It just sucks that both Hal and Jim are gone now. While some may say "Yay" at least they had life.. and not the same boring routine. He did it to himself unfortunately.

So this is what we are going to do then. We are going to fix this right now. I will not have you angry at me for one. Due to I respect you and always have. You damn puscifer fan you. The report rule was put in for that very reason. If we can't differentiate the serious from non serious, then no one needs to be on staff. This place just needs to be ran by one man.

And trust me. That's a 0 tolerance line right there. You are one of the most talented, yet interesting people on here Ari, so why the fuck would people want you gone!?

So try to bargain with us, and less rebelling, I think for the most part everyone who had problems with staff before, are no longer even on staff. So it's like.. what are we arguing about here?

You also didn't stfu about it when I asked you to. On multiple occasions. "Defending" someone only serves to incite the opposing party more. Also, your "defending" looks a lot like insulting someone else for no real reason. So I silenced the lot of you to prevent more issues while I went through the archive to figure out what minor thing you were all bitching about.

You were silenced. You weren't infracted. You weren't even warned, other than the minor request I made of you in the PM I sent later. In fact I even told you that I mostly did it to control traffic and prevent an actual infraction from having to be handed out. I'm sorry you couldn't chat in the SB for all of 10 minutes. I'm sure that has ruined your forum-going experience. But if you would prefer that I didn't act proactively to prevent infractions, and instead just allowed whatever to happen and then retroactively dish out infractions, I can handle that. Agree with all of your points, more or less. Completely agree with you about the Newbox, for the record. The only people who consistently chat in there are staff members. Making it fairly pointless. On the Debate section stuff, I am loathe to ever close a thread in that section. I generally don't like to even post warnings, but name-calling only serves to cheapen the discourse and has no place in a debate, forum or otherwise. But for the most part, I'll just try to make the topic doesn't stray too far (even then, tangents will happen, and those should just be ridden out, i.e. the gun rights debate within the patriotism thread) from the intended purpose, and make sure it just doesn't devolve into "U SUCK. NO U." territory.

Spam, on the other hand, is a different animal entirely. You might be surprised how few spam threads actually get closed though.

Well I was there when the incident went down and as far as I recall all ari did was ask why they were insulting toni so much. I am not sure how she sounded insulting when she asked that. Maybe you were referencing another time where her defending sounded like insulting.

I cannot think of any off the top of my head Shuster though I have found the staff fairly reasonable with discussing my infractions. I still think Mitsuki was wrong about my first one but she discussed it with me at length. My second one was warranted, my third one was kind of bullshit though. I got the same amount of infraction points for heavy flaming as I did for being off topic in a spam section
