Name – Julien Cole Blackwing

Title – The Exiled

Alignment – Difficult to decipher…

Race – Human
-Description: Throughout the years, many theories have raisen concerning the origins of the human race. Some expeculate that an ancient benefactor, an ever existing deity of some sort, was once alone in our realm. This being , known by many names though in general refered as “The Creator”, rearranged the once chaotic cosmos, now settling the universe in a state of relative peace. Subsequently, more of his “creations” followed, among those, the humans. Humans are usually bipedal, though in its early years of growth they walk on all four. The humans are also quite skilled and intelligent, all of this however, differing from clan to clan. Their skin is either partially covered with hair, this hair growing around the legs, forearms, armpits and chest for males, and armpits, legs and forearms for women (though this also varies depending in the balance of male or female hormones in the body). Their complexion also varies from region to region, depending on the whether and the enviroment conditions. The skin pigmentation also depends on the environment, with darkened skin mostly associated with regions with high sun exposure (like deserts, and southern warm regions) and pale skin with northern, colder regions, like icy mountains and temperate or tepid latitudes of the globe were the summers are mild rather than extremely hot like in the tropical regions.
Overall, the humans are quite an astounding race, having an incredibly designed body structure, and a balanced ammount (in most ideal cases) of elements (found in their home planet) in their organism.
Gender – Male

Age – 20 years, in Earth Years.

Appearance – Julien is an average 20 years old man, weigthing 160 pounds and being as tall as 172 centimeters without his boots (with his boots he reaches 177.6 centimeters). His skin colour is white, though lightly tanned due to constant sunlight exposure for all the years he spent traveling around the world. Julien has round ears, small oval shaped eyes, wide arced brown eyebrows, a round small nose, thin lips, and a squared shaped jaw. He has light brown hair which is combed back at middle length (reaching only his chin). He also has dicromathic eyes (one is hazel and the other is grayish green, hence why sometimes it is hard to notice any difference). There’s almost always usually a stern look on his eyes.
Julien’s muscullar structure is quite similar to an average man who daily is working in a job with a lot of physical activities (hence why the palms of his hands are somewhat rough to the touch) yet he is not among the bulkiest around. This lack of physical size is somewhat compensated by his strong legs which contribute to his high agility. There’s also another thing to mention. Julien albeit seen as an average human, is not so normal as he seems. At some point during his life, Julien was infused with blood from an unknown source. Unfortunately, since the origin of the blood couldn’t be tracked, the effects of it in Julien’s body are highly unpredictable, whether they are beneficial or harmful to his system. One thing is certain, the blood is nowhere near human. The blood transfusion was due to an accident he had a few months away from his 17th birthday in which he had severe bloodloss. How he survived to the accident or even how his body didn’t reject his blood remains a mystery. The doctor who attended Julien, also disappeared on that night, witnesses saying he left with a wide malicious grin on his face.

Attire – Julien usually wears a black poliester turtle neck shirt which has long sleeves. He is also seen wearing black combat trousers with a black leather belt which has a small rectangular shaped metal buckle. This is accompanied by black tactical boots (size 10-USA), a gold watch worn on his left wrist, a simple silver chain necklace and a silver band ring (not a marriege ring) worn on his left hand as well. The inside of the ring is engraved with a small message which reads “Never forget”, while the outside is plain and simple.
Armour – None at the moment.
Personality – Julien has a very selfish and distrustful personality, usually used as a mental self defense mechanism, finding it hard to be too emotionally attached to someone. This is due to the fact that in early years, he spent his whole life loving his childhood friend Nikole and, even though the feeling was reciprocal, Julien could never forgive himself for failing to protect his home against a raid lead by barbarians 2 years ago. The unbearable sense of failure and the fear of not being a good protector for Nikole, completely shattered his mind, placing him on a deep depression that lasted for weeks. First came the rage, the sense of emptyness and helplessnes, then followed the selfishness and subsequently, an insatiable hunger for power. He abandoned his family, friends and his childhood love, unable to forgive the monster born from within his consciousness, and set on a quest for knowledge. Julien thought that the true path to power lied in the arduous and difficult road to knowledge, and he was well determined to either turn back to his old humble self, or become the monstrous tyrant destined to conquer the human world.
First Impression – Nothing…either a vast nothingness or a complex mess of emotions is all that can be felt when you meet Julien for the first time. Given that he is always found sitting by a table in any local bar with a motionless expression on his face, Julien is not the typical friend-maker. He is harsh, without any apparent trace of empathy, always on a bad mood, completely and utterly negative. Of course, none of this is easily known since he either ignores people and remains silent, or just simply leaves.

Strength – Although Julien’s built favours speed, his fist do pack quite a punch. If he were to hit someone’s bare face (depending on their resistence, skin, race, physical attributes, etc), the impact would force his opponent back, making them dizzy if he hits the chin from either side. Of course, he by no means can produce any kind of harm if his fist were to hit a breastplate or a helm aside from pushing them (the action would hurt his hands depending on the strength used). When it comes to lifting objects, Julien can carry over his shoulders a person who is close or not to far from his own weight, and inanimate objects who are close to his weight but not over. His kicks are, however, stronger than his fist, able to push back men taller than him without any setbacks due to the protection his footwear provides (this varies depending from oponent to oponent).

Vitality – Since Julien wears very little to no armour, he mostly focuses on dodging his attacks whilst waiting for an opening in his oponents’ defense. However, if he were to take a direct physical hit, this would moderately compromise his speed and strength, forcing him to be more resourceful and use anything in his environment to gain the uper hand. A punch would push him a mere inches away, whilst a frontal leg swipe would throw him down (there are times in which, if timed correctly, he could either dodge, grab his oponents leg or place his forearms before his chest forming a sort of an x-shaped shield with his left wrist resting on his right wrist. Of course, this would prove futile against a direct magical attack, which would throw him off balance and either slow him or incapacitate him, depending on the severity of his wounds. In order to counter this setback, Julien will likely try to evade all magical attacks knowing that a direct him would nearly disable any of his body parts limiting in this way, the resources at his disposal.
If Julien were to be hit by a mid-level magical attack, sever damage would be noticed on the area were the spell lands. If it were a fire or thunder based spell (since both share similar effects), the clothings covering the affected area would be ragged and scorched, and his skin would present burn marks and perhaps some internal damage. If it were an ice-based spell, the damage on his clothes would not be significant though signs of frost would be seen if the spell digs further, the freezing effect would seriously affect his joints and bones thus restricing the movements of the targeted area.
Overall, the landing area of the spells as well as their individual attributes will determine much of Julien’s participation in battle. A clever enemy would usually aim to his legs (even though considering that aiming at the legs will seriously reduce accuracy since the spell is most likely to hit the ground) since this would reduce his evasion and speed. Hitting his arms would disable most of his offensive and hitting the torso would affect his breathing seeing that the lungs are located in this area. Finally, a thunder based spell aimed to the region of surrounding the heart would be fatal because it could alter the contraction rythym of this vital organ. The contraction of the cardiac muscle is regulated by chemical impulses which control the heart rate. If this were to be alter, it could cause a possible instant death.

Speed – Perhaps his greatest weapon, Julien’s speed is top notch when it comes to hand to hand combat, though he always keeps in mind that the faster he goes, the faster he will run out of energy to continue in battle. His feets and kicks are not light speed, but surely are hard to dodge when cornerned or in a very close combat (the best way to attack him would be keeping distance while making short swift moves to wear him down). In a race, he is able to run at 25 mph and 30 mph at full speed.
Stamina – Julien has a high stamina which is his primary fuel for his speed and reflexes. However, depending on how fast he goes in a battle and how many hits he receives, his endurance and exhaustion level in battle can go from lasting from 30 minutes to half time. With every action he takes, his resistence is lowered by minutes (so the more punches and kicks he launches, or the more he swings a weapon, the less he will be able to keep fighting…which is obvious…). To slightly counter this, Julien practiced his breathing, taking mouthfuls of air whenever he is given a chance to rest (like not attacking him for example…). The longer he rests, the more in-battle time he will recover.

Reflexes – Julien has quick reflexes to compensate his not so outstanding strength. He is able to dodge most attacks from blades with relative ease (depending on his opponent’s skill and speed) but comon sense dictates that the bigger the weapon his opponent is wielding, the easier to spot and therefor the more likely he will evade said attack. He is able to respond to close combat attacks in seconds, but this also heavily depends on his stamina and how long he is in battle (meaning there will be a point in which he won’t be able to dodge every attack…and most likely every attack will become a direct hit). Julien can also dodge one or two arrows per attack, but not a full volley of arrows (he will simply run away on the opposite direction after figuring out the landing region).

Fighting Style –Julien’s combat style is not so developed as most traditional and mixed martial arts styles, so he relies on his wits and cunning instincts. If we were to classify his fighting style, Julien’s would be near to street kick-boxing , with his stance copied to what he has seen in many boxing battles. When armed with his sword, Julien addapted the samurai fighting stance he has seen and read in books, although his lack the training and experience of someone who has truly studied the discipline. He holds his sword with both hands when defending, and with one hand if he were to make consecutive sword swings or thrusts, hence why his weapon of choice is usually a rapier.

Weapons – Julien’s weapon of choice is a rapier, a very light medium length sword with a modified handle. Most rapiers have a hilt which is approximately fist sized since the rapier is meant to be wielded with one hand however, Julien made the hilt to be near 5 inches and a half long to be able to hold his rapier with both hands. The hilt was wrapped and tightly with soaked leather and left to dry in the sun to ensure firmness and durability. The rapier has a cross shaped steel handguard with triangle shaped ends at both sides and a red orb embedded on the guard at the very center. The blade is also wider than the regular rapier, made out of high carbon stainles steel bought on the blackmarket. In summary, the sword’s full length from pummel to tip is 98.92 centimeter. The blade is kept in its leather holster wrapped around Julien’s back.

Abilities – On rare ocassions, Julien is able to dash in very brief bursts of speed almost as if he were seen as teleporting to the normal human eye. These bursts of speed however, consumes a lot of stamina limiting the use to three to four times (five if he hasn’t received any damage) and if leaves him dizzy and in a vulnerable stance for secons, and if the opponent is able to track down and predict where Julien will land, this ability would be more of a disadvantage than an advantage. How he manages to accomplish these inhuman tasks and how they are related to the blood transfusion he received are unknown…
He also has a very accurate intuition, meaning he can infer most things at first sight. Sadly, given to the fact that he pays little attention to anything, Julien only finds this useful in battle, or to find any information he might find useful from a conversation. His intuition also allows him to understand his opponents more, giving him a chance to think like them in order to predict their moves (this happens if you give him chance to rest).
Magic – None learnt at the moment.

Other Skills – Julien once wanted to be a chef, though in his early years he was famous for making people run straight to the toilet (he used to many spices so his dishes were rather…hot…). This however changed throughout the years, so he somehow now manages to perfect his technique to make decent dishes and is always seen reading recipies and experimenting with new ingredients. This activity also contributes to keep him sane actually…

History – Julien was born on July 9, 2045 Westbury, a town in the west of the English county of what is left of Wiltshire, rebuilt after the World War III . The war was between the USA, United Kingdom, Russia, China and Iraq. This war left all countries involved as well as those not directly related in a state of economical decline, still their people learnt to survive throughout the years. The war, which lasted from 2033 to 2042, has long since ended, shattering most comunications between countries and returning humanity to some sort of neo-medieval time. He is the middle son of a family of four, his father Jason Phillipson, his mother Mary Johanson, and his siblings, Nathan, Monique and Jace. He was raised with Nikole Austin who came from what was the United States of America at a tender age of 6 years old with her family (the current status of the USA is unknow since connections between the Old and New World were cut off and only very little people know what’s happening on the other side of the world). Julien and Nikole lead a happy life, first as friends and later more closer. Unfortunately, a relationship couldn’t develop further because Julien ran away after his village was attacked by a group of barbarians, and later, after he had a car accident which nearly cost him his life. During this time, Julien was attended by a mysterious doctor who came passing by and was temporaly working on the hospital. During the surgery to fix his left arm, Julien received a mysterious blood transfusion from an unknown donor, seeing that there was no one compatible with his blood type except the one who donated the blood (unknowingly, the doctor was just waiting for a chance to test his experiments on human beings without fearing retaliation). Weeks later, Julien went through drastic changes of behavior, often being a complete loner or risking his life on reckless car races and street fights. Fearing he has brought only misfortune to his family due to his reckless behavior, Julien ran away at the age of 17 years, changed his surname to Blackwing, and has remained traveling from town to town for the last three years. Julien has heard that Nikole has remained in solitude after being left heartbroken, and later that she simply disappeared. Knowing this is his fault, Julien is now determined to find her in this now broken world.

I think so, but it may automatically do it chronologically. :hmmm:

Could stand a little more expansion on his defense against magical attacks, in terms of, as an example, how much damage a moderate-level spell would do to him.

Other than that, everything else looks good. Tweak that, and he'll likely be approved.

I have edited the requested area. I posted my edits below in a different colour. Sorry for the lack of appropriate medical terms, medical science is not my field of expertise. :monster:

Sword
Arcana: The Emperor
Age: 48
Gender: Male
Height: 6'3"
Hair Color: Black with silver highlights.
Eye Color: Glacial Ice Blue
Build: Strong
Weight: 250 lbs

George is a middle age man whose body has endured the many effects of war. Since he was part of the Infantry of the US Army during his early years, his body and mind were always submitted to constant training. The muscles of his back, arms and legs are greatly defined, thus allowing him to wear heavy equipment. His face shows a few signs of aging, his eye brows are slightly broad, and he has a cold expression on his face. His nose is middle sized, round at the tip, as a reference, if his mouth is 1 1/2 inches wide when being serious; his nose is about an half an inch wide. His mouth is fairly broad, his upper lip thinner than the lower lip. He has strong, dexterous hands and wears his hair short. The hair is only long enough to partially cover the right part of his forehead, though most of it is combed to the back. His ears are small and round.

Attire:

His formal wear of preference is a black lounge suit (the fabric of his suit is classified as S or choice wool). First we have the black single breasted jacket which he keeps buttoned at all times (this coat has a peaked lapel, button holes on the lapels for decorative emblems, and two inner and two outer pockets and one ticket pocket above left pocket in which he keeps a simple silver pen inside. With this he wears a black half-Windsor knot (a necktie with the only difference that produces a triangular knot that the original Windsor knot necktie lacks). Next he has a simple white collar shirt and a black waistcoat which has two pockets, three silver buttons (which have the image of a lion engraved on their surface), and a silver pocket watch which he keeps on his left pocket (the pocket watch is simple in design, with only the engraving of a hawk and a snake fighting on the surface of one of the sides, inside the watch we have the picture of his family on one side and a clock with roman numbers on the other). The waist coat is single breasted, and it has dark silver vertical lines going from top to bottom.

Below his waist we have a matching black trouser which is made of the same fabric of the jacket and the waistcoat. This trouser has several belt loops, two pockets, a pleat and a fly, and is made to fit Nathan giving him a neat and elegant slim appearance. He also wears a black leather belt (the buckle of the belt is rectangular in shape, with a small lion engraved on middle. Georges socks also match the trouser colour and are quite comfortable with his black Gibson shoes. Finally, since George’s suit was made by a tailor to fit his size without restricting movement, he will have little problem with movement in most situations (but sure will be pissed if you ruin his suit).

Weaponry:
-Desert Eagle

The Desert Eagle is a large caliber gas-operated, semi-automatic pistol. The Desert Eagle is fed with a detachable box magazine. Magazine capacity is 9 rounds in .357 Magnum, 8 rounds in .44 Magnum, and 7 rounds in .50 AE. The Desert Eagle's barrel features polygonal rifling. The pistol is mainly used for sport, target shooting, and hunting.

-Golden Desert Eagle: A more powerful variant of his main Desert Eagle. It has faster shooting and reloading, taking less than 10 seconds to unleash 10 bullets on a target. It has higher ammunition capacity, enhanced from 9 rounds to 15 rounds each magazine.

-Desert Eagle Magazine
: each hold rounds for reloading, one with 9 rounds capacity for the normal Desert Eagle, and the other with 15 rounds for the Golden Desert Eagle. It uses .440 magnum caliber made by the Cor-bon Company. In designing the .440, Cor-bon created a lighter recoiling round with as much or greater penetrating power than the .44 Magnum. The round has a flatter trajectory, and leaves the barrel faster than either the .50 AE or the .44 Mag. However, the cartridge has never taken off, and has remains fairly expensive.

Personality:

Character Motto
[Optional]:
-"Si vis pacem, para bellum..."/"If you want peace, prepare for war..."
-"Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer."
-"Loyalty is not a right, its our duty."

Backstory: George was born in June 23, 1962 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania near the end of the Cold War. His parents are Peter Seals, an ex-officer of the US Army who fought in the Cold War and would later on become a prominent US Senator, and Amelia Richardson York, who is now a retired teacher. Little George grew up a mid-class life, though he spent most of his time dreaming about becoming a soldier like his father. His father taught him that no matter how sad he felt, a true soldier would never allow his feelings to be so easily reflected on his performance, that a soldier must never allow the heart to blind reasoning, and that a soldier lives to protect. Living up to these teachings, George worked hard to get the best grades in school, and felt deception and grief each time he seemed to be "failing"at his work. As soon as he graduated from the Lincoln High School (his father insisted that his son had to study in the same school as he did) George began his carrier as part of the US Army, and participated in numerous missions associated with espionage, tactics and rescue squads. Three years he served as he ranked up through the ranks, was transferred to the Marines and was trained as a weapon specialist, also becoming a renown sharpshooter.
Years later after that, George retired from the Marine Corps, his excuse was saying that he wished to add some peace and balance to his life but later on he rejoined the Army to serve as a Drill Sargent, sharing his experience with the rookies . He continued to work as a Training Instructor in the Army from 2003 to 2007 during the actual war in Iraq against "terrorism". Trying to part ways with his military life and wishing to take a more diplomatic role, George retired once again intending to run for a political career. At some point during 2008, George's father fell terribly ill, forcing him to postpone his political career.

In his deathbed, his father told him the reason why his family has had political and military success throughout the years by revealing a single "Tarot Card". The card was the number IV, The Emperor card, and was kept inside a small golden chest by his father. Intrigued, George asked his father how come a card would bring fortune to his life and his father felt enraged by his son's ignorance. His father explained that this was no ordinary card, but it represented the power of many political figures throughout history. In his tale, his father explained that he obtained it during the Cold War in the possession of a enemy soldier. Both men fought with combat knives and fists but in the end, it was George's father who emerged victorious by stabbing the soldier in the chest with his knife.

The dying man then explained how the wounded soldier pulled a single Tarot Card from his sleeve. Confused, Greco was about to deliver the finishing blow but the wounded soldier begged for his life telling him that he would give him this card. Greco was surprised and was ready to ignore the soldier's pleas until the soldier revealed that the card held the power of the world's most powerful monarchs. He told him that this very card was the reason why people like Henry VIII, Ivan The Terrible and even Adolf Hitler managed to be so politically successful yet were drawn to a terrible demise. The power of the card gave the owner the ability to rule over others, as well as other unexplored abilities unknown to both the wounded soldier and George's father.

Greco, who was exhausted after the fight, took the card and decided to leave the wounded soldier to the mercy of nature. Before leaving, Greco examined the card and then, he noticed that the wounded soldier had disappeared, almost as if the ground itself swallowed him.

George was quite skeptical to his father's tale, but then his father also explained that after he quit the war, his life took a drastic turn. Suddenly his father became successful with the rise of the war-economy even managing to reach the US Senate and in such position for years. Suddenly people of influence approached him, having met figures like Edward Kennedy, George Bush, and Barak Obama.

However, just as he was prepared to pass on the card to his son, an inexplicable rage possessed him. Greco then picked up his old LeMat 1856 revolver
and aimed it at his son. George desperately tried to convince his father to put the gun down only ending provoking him to shoot. Hopefully, George managed to dodge the gunshots. As soon as his father ran out of ammo, George ran towards his father and effectively disarmed him. He then stared at the Tarot Card in his possession and felt compelled to seize it. The result was a heated struggle with his own father culminating in George asphyxiating him to death with a pillow. In that moment, George felt no remorse, no pain, he only wanted power, more than he could ever dream to have.

Strangely enough, no one could find the truth behind the death of the old senator and months later, George was granted the same position of his father by the President himself. How and why this promotion to the Congress happened lies in mysteries...

Personality:
Being the typical womanizer, Mark finds himself mostly in situations in which he is either running away from his ex-girlfriends or trying to get involved in another relationship. He might appear arrogant, confident and extremely narcissist, but deep inside he is pessimist, destructive and self loathing to the point of a pathological degree. Of course, he tends to hide his true self by involving in casual relationships but ends up breaking when deeper attachment is developed. He can be quite obsessive about love, but knows when to back off for the safety and happiness of his loved ones often leaving him on the bitter end of any situation. Mark also has a problem with his anger; albeit he is relatively passive he can be extremely sarcastic, mean, and bluntly honest to the point of hurting others. Of course, after his rage is subdued we can see him sinking deep into remorse.

Background Story:

Mark Coleridge McLaren was born the son of the successful British lawyer, former Judge of the Supreme Court and counselor Alexander Coleridge Riemann and American psychologist Leslie McLaren Anderson. Born and raised among books concerning laws, politics, among others related to social sciences, mathematics and human behavior. Thanks to the influence of his parent’s background in the world of politics and legal system, Mark decided to follow on his father’s footsteps, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Laws and a Master Degree in General Psychology working for some time as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Later on he focused on pursuing a career as a District Attorney, having graduated from Harvard Law School (he got in thanks to his father’s influence, something he never knew until later on).

After his graduation, Mark earned the nickname of “The Devil’s Advocate” seeing that he was quite successful on winning cases which revolved around criminals in which all evidence was against them. Mark knew that some of them were guilty but didn’t mind so long as he won and added another medal to his collection of victories. Eventually, he met his match when he came face to face against his father, both Coleridge Lawyers standing at opposing points in case involving political corruption in an aspiring senator. Mark lost to his father, this event being his only defeat in his young career.
The following night after his defeat, an enraged Mark entered his father’s office demanding to know why his father would take a case in which he knew that he would come face to face with his son. Senior Coleridge, still sitting on his armchair while holding a cup of wine simple answered: “You are good Mark, but not that good. You see, in this business there are lawyers and there’s me. I am the Emperor, the sole monarch of this wasteland and you are simply another one of my subjects. Unfortunately your growing ego was starting to make your forget so it was up to me to give you a little reminder. It doesn’t matter how much you try, you will never beat me.”

Frustrated, Mark left his father’s office and secluded himself for weeks in his apartment. Growing a beard and in dire need of a haircut, Mark sunk deep into alcohol and self loathing. Surprisingly, a few days later Mark received a message from his father asking for a reunion. Apparently his father was in his final days and was desperately trying to get in contact with his only son.

Mark arrived to his father’s mansion in which he met again with his mother whom he hasn’t seen ever since he lost against his father. He soon met again with his progenitor, the senior Coleridge asking him to sit next to him.

After several hours of explaining to his son the source of his “legendary” winning streak as a lawyer, his father pulls out a dagger and presents it to Mark. “This is my lucky charm.
