Name: Anastasia Hallow: ORPG/RPB

Alignment: Chaotic Evil


Race: Twister, a race with pale skin, prominent facial and palm veins and dark red to black hair. They are generally anything from six to six foot six in height, with wiry, slender forms capable of acrobatic feats. They can live to be one thousand years old.


The personality and abilities of Anastasia apply to all Twisters.


Gender: Female


Age: 300 years old, appears to be 25


Appearance: Anastasia is six foot two inches, with long, dark red, wavy hair that extends to her lower back. It gives off a reflective sheen whenever light shines upon it, and is lustrous, thick and well cared for.


Anastasia, like the rest of her race, has round, scarlet eyes, with thin blue blood vessels clearly running through the whites. Her eyelashes are long and her eyebrows neatly trimmed thin.


Her face is pale, with a number of veins clearly running through, made all the more visible due to her complexion. Her face is flawless, devoid of spots, scars or blemishes. A short, pointed nose sits at the centre of her face, and she has full, red lips. Her face is cold, appearing to be made of porcelin, and ends in a stubborn chin, rarely showing any emotion.


Anastasia's slender form allows her to perform various acrobatic and physical feats. The veins on her face also extend to the backs of her hands, and run down her arms.


Outside of battle, Anastasia favours the long, ankle length dress, in white, red or black. She wears high heels to match the colour and a single ruby pendant around her neck, with a silver chain to attach it. She also wears a silver chain bracelet on each wrist.


In battle, Anastasia wears armour all over except on her head. All her armour is coloured silver or gold, with a light silver torso guard, capable of withstanding a rapier and weaker, but nothing stronger than a greatsword, and certainly not a gun. She wears gold gauntlets that extend to gold protective gloves, and silver leg guards.


Personality: By nature, Twisters are solitary creatures from maturity at 150 years, and Anastasia is no exception to this rule. She has travelled all over the world for one hundred and fifty years now. She only really takes allies as she needs them, and certainly doesn't care how many survive so long as she gets her way and her goal.


Anastasia is also highly sadistic, even more so than the typical Twister, and delights in seeing human pain in particular, so much so that she takes delight in seeing human pain before she dies, usually using torture to draw fresh screams from her victim before she ends their lives. She can even get mixed up in the euphoria of the victim's pain, and fail to notice someone sneaking up on her from behind.

When she is not caught up in the thrill of battle and pain, Anastasia is actually quite intelligent, mostly because of the photographic memories Twisters possess that allows her to recall past knowledge she has taken in. She is also intelligent in that she doesn't attack or kill indiscriminately, but rather as a means to an end. She simply gets caught up in the bloodlust when she does begin to fight someone.

Finally, Anastasia is racist and judgemental, seeing the Twisters as the master race, and those who should rule. She does not intend to make humanity extinct, but rather have Twisters rule in an element of fear so that the torture they so delight in can continue in a massive scale. Seeing as due to their solitude, Twisters are quite low in numbers in comparison to the human race. However, they are pure and unmutated, and Anastasia is extremely proud of this heritage, and will defend it to the death.

First Impression: Tall for a woman, and with her rather odd face, Anastasia is quite intimidating to look upon, and unless you make your point quickly should you come up and talk to her, she quickly becomes bored and drifts away someplace else.

Strength: Anastasia is pretty weak physically, her punch dealing no more damage than your average human. A punch to the face could stun the enemy, but no more.

Vitality: Anastasia can stand very little physical punishment. A punch or physical damage would do only a little less damage than to your average human. She could take a single sword stab or bullet, but a second would render her unconscious or dead.
Magic is a different matter. Anastasia can block and divert most moderate and some higher level magic.

Speed: Anastasia can run at about 10mph or 15kmph without a break for some time.

Stamina: Anastasia without her magic can last up to twenty minutes in a fight. If she keeps using her magic, the fight can decrease to as little as seven minutes.
Anastasia can run at full speed for up to a half hour.

Reflexes: Anastasia can dodge anything other than a bullet through a Twister ability called flitting, moving faster than the eye can see. This tires her after two or three uses, though. After that, she has around the reflexes of a human.

Fighting Style: Anastasia fights elegantly with a fleuret, able to bend and twist to get under the enemy's defenses with little trouble. She fights like a fencer, skilled in both offense, blocking and fluid ducking.

Weapon: A fleuret or rapier. A desert eagle pistol. The fleuret is silver and the hilt has intertwining snakes carved on it.

The desert eagle contains 6 bullets per clip and Anastasia has three clips on backup. She takes cover to reload quickly.

Abilities:
Anastasia can dodge anything other than a bullet through a Twister ability called flitting, moving faster than the eye can see. This tires her after two or three uses, though. After that, she has around the reflexes of a human.

Magic: Anastasia commands the elements of fire, wind and darkness well. Her abilities are detailed below.

Fireball: Approximately five seconds charge time is required for a full fireball to be launched. A weak fireball only consumes a small amount of energy, while a full powered one takes about one-eighth of her energy.
It can set an enemy alight or cause as much damage as a pistol bullet, depending on the target.

Twister: Always requires ten seconds charge time. Whips up a six foot tornado to launch her enemy into the air. This removes one third of her energy, and because of this and the long charge time, she will usually require back-up to initiate it properly. This is more designed for the purpose of having her enemy fall. The twister itself does not do damage. The fall does.

Dark Bursts: Fires off dark beams of energy, requiring three seconds to charge to full power. An extra two seconds will allow her to launch a volley of these beams. A weak beam will take off a small amount of energy. A strong beam will remove one eighth and a volley will remove about a fifth. It can or cause much damage as a pistol bullet, depending on the target and their resistance to dark magic.

Shield: A shield to protect against physical attacks. Saps energy gradually as long as it is up. It can withstand several strong punches, three sword swipes, two greatsword strikes and a single bullet. Once destroyed, it removes an additional tenth of Anastasia's energy.

Twisting: Allows her to manipulate the mental state of an enemy and the physical state of a non-living entity. Anyone able to resist her mental twisting can repel her, and anything larger than a car takes several hours to twist. Anything around person sized takes five seconds, though each twisting of a physical object removes about a third of her energy. She can also use telekinesis to affect what is already there. Anything car sized takes a fifth of energy. below takes about an eighth. On a living target, this creates illusions or drives the enemy insane

Teleportation: Only in transport, never in battle. No energy loss.

Other: Anastasia, like other Twisters, cannot survive in sub-zero temperatures. It slowly saps her strength.

Holy magic is incredibly dangerous to Anastasia, and she has no defense against it if directed at her.

History: Born to a pair of Twisters three hundred years ago, Anastasia as immediately inducted into the typical Twister way of life, growing up in a life in which she regularly witnessed and participated in bloodbaths, taking great pleasure in destroying and hurting humans. She was conditioned to be proud and powerful, a creature without emotion or remorse.

However, Twisters are solitary by nature, and Anastasia's mother soon left her father, and, a number of years later, her father drifted away from her too, to find pleasure elsewhere.

At first, Anastasia was unsure as to what to do, and was unwilling to leave the island that had been her home for a century and a half. However, she eventually took a trip to a random location on a boat, and loved the sea she saw, and wanted to see more.

By the time the boat rolled into port, everyone was dead, and Anastasia's thirst for blood she suddenly felt was slaked. The screams, the first she had drawn all by herself, had delighted and fascinated Anastasia, and she wanted to hear even more.

She became responsible for more and more slaughter, moving into a village, ending lives, and leaving once a reputation about the killings spread. Occasionally she was caught, but this was never a problem for the Twister. This has been her life for 150 years.

A little description would be nice. Describe the blade, but especially on the DE. What caliber? How many rounds per clip? How many clips does she carry on her? How does she reload?

Describe the effects of the spell. How much damage could one fireball be expected to do?

Just a clarification. It takes a quarter of her energy in addition to whatever is sapped while having it up? If that's the case, I could handle the 25% being reduced to as low as 10%.

Twisting:

I'm not sure what this actually does to an enemy. Needs a little more detail.

Race: Witch: The classic witch. They have a lifespan of several hundred years, aging 10 years for every hundred, and with high control over magic

Gender: Female

Age: 200, 19 physically

Appearance: Standing tall at five foot nine, Avril's posture is perfect. She can never be seen to be slouched or seen to stand in any other position than perfectly straight. Her form is slender and curvaceous. She isn't too thin, being of quite a healthy weight. It allows for acrobatic feats as well as blending into the crowd.

Avril's hair is white blond, but can be seen to be pure white in the right light. It reaches down to her upper back with a silky straightness, not a hair out of place. She uses an emerald green headband to keep this in place. Her face is a refined shape, with high cheekbones, pale lips, and an average-sized, hooked nose. Her eyes are a narrow, piercing dark blue, with long, white eyelashes and thin eyebrows. Her complexion is pale, with no freckles or acne marring her proud looks.

Attire: Avril wears a green, waist length robe with long white sleeves that stretch down to her wrists. The robe is made of a soft, comfortable material that is smooth, yet durable. She also wears a knee length skirt of the same material in white. It has been embroidered with gold lace to add an appearance of elegance. Finally, to complete the arrangement, Avril wears a pair of knee high brown leather boots, in stark contrast to the rest of her rather refined appearance.

A single white gold ring sits on the ring finger of her right hand. It is engraved with ancient symbols for power, age and wisdom. It is studded with a single glimmering amethyst.

Armor: Avril wears a silver set of armor. To start, she wears a torso guard that starts at her neck and extends down to her waist, studded with ringlets. She also dons a pair of silver gauntlets on her hands, and a pair of silver greaves reaching up to her knees. She forgoes wearing a helm. The reason for this is explained in her personality.

Personality: Avril has no emotion whatsoever. She has no individual will, or desire, other than destruction. This is her sole goal in life, to see all die by her own hand. The best way to describe her would be amoral. She does not care who she hires, who she gets onside, or who she kills, so long as she can see her goal for destruction sated.

However, she is very tactical. She does nothing if it does not further her goals. She would not simply kill one person for pleasure. She desires destruction on a grand scale, and so small acts of violence don't do it for her. As such, she only acts when it furthers her goals. She is quite a hard person to read and her actions can be unpredictable, and her short-term goals ever changing.

She does, however, have her proud side. This is her reason for not wearing a helmet in battle. She wants her enemies to see her face as she ends their lives. She considers herself an Angel of Destruction, and, while she isn't an outright sadist who enjoys pain, she revels in the fear of those who die by her hand and will take in their terror before she ends it. This proud side can cause her to make the occasional rash decision, and cost her dearly. This is her one flaw.
However, she is very intelligent and wise beyond what her young appearance would suggest. She has knowledge of the past, and power, and magic, and will use that to her advantage. Some of the spells she knows are ancient, and she uses these lesser known spells to her advantage. This is another aspect of herself that she is proud of.

First Impression: She is not very intimidating to look at, being rather ordinary and able to blend in with the crowd. She has nothing that really makes her stand out aside from her ring, and only an avid collector would even notice that.

However, her voice is chilling, utterly emotionless, and it is this that would stand out in a quiet room, and quiet a noisy room. She has little to no emotion in her voice at all times, yet it can be as loud or as soft as she wishes. She can enrapture a room with her voice.

Strength: She has little strength. The most a punch to the face from her could do is stun. It could rarely do any lasting damage.

Vitality: Avril can take very little physical punishment. Her armour can't take much more than one or two blows from an axe or greatsword, and after that, she has general human weakness when it comes to physical attacks.

Speed: Avril can run at 30mph in short bursts.

Stamina: The longest she could possibly run at her full speed would be two minutes, before requiring a few minutes to catch her breath. She can go on fighting for 7 minutes if only using physical assaults. If magical, until she is drained.

Reflexes: With her superior speed, Avril can dodge swords and arrows until she tires.

Fighting Style: The current form her weapon is in defines her fighting style. With short range weapons, such as rapiers and axes, she pursues a rapid fighting style and focusses more on tiring the enemy out with speed over brute force.

With longer ranged weapons, such as javelins and a bow and arrow, her one goal is to keep distance from the enemy so that she can launch an attack with distance.

Weapons: Delano, an ever changing weapon she can summon from the air. She can shift the structure of it with her magic and turn it into whatever weapon she desires. The energy cost will be detailed in Magic.

Magic:

Fire Whip: Conjures a whip of fire to whip at the enemy to both deal 3rd degree burns and to take objects from her enemy. Removes 5% of her energy to form.

Cast time: Instantaneous
Solid Fire: Formation of a ball of fire to hurl at the enemy, causing third degree burns and capable of setting the enemy alight. About the size of a child's fist. Can be charged for longer to become as large as an adult male fist. 5% drain. 10% energy drain charged.

Cast Time: 3 seconds. 5 seconds charged

Ice Bullets: Chills the air and freezes water droplets to form bullets of ice to propel towards the enemy at high speeds, shattering on contact most of the time but capable of piercing the body, causing the damage of a bullet. 5% energy drain.

Cast time: 6 seconds

Freezing Point: Lowers the temperature to a level humans cannot survive at to a one metre radius, while encased in her own heat bubble.Only she can fit into this heat bubble. 5% energy drain.

Cast time: Instantaneous

Earth Spike: Raises spikes from the ground and sends them at high speeds to impale the enemy. A 3 centimeter spike would do the damage of a very small dagger.She can form anything up to the size of a shortsword, and itdoes approriate damage for the size of the weapon it mimics. She can mimic a dagger, a small spear, or a shortsword. 5% energy drain.

Cast Time: 5 seconds

Rend: Opens a chasm in the earth around 2 metres wide. The chasm begins to open immediately, but is not opened until about 15 seconds after the cast finishes. However, after those first 10 seconds, distracting/hurting Avril will not prevent the chasm from opening. 15% energy drain

Cast Time: 10 seconds

Shine: Generates a huge pulse of light that is blinding to the human eye. 200cm area of effect. Blindness lasts about five seconds. 1% energy drain

Cast Time: 2 seconds

Beam of Light: Sends out a single beam of light about the size and damage of a small dagger. Particularly damaging to beings of the dark. Does approximately the damage of a thriowing knife to those not of the dark. 5% energy drain

Cast Time: 3 seconds

Dagger of Darkness: Like the Beam of Light, but of the Darkness element. Particularly damaging to beings of the light. Does approximately the damage of a throwing knife to those not of the light. 5% energy drain

Cast Time: 3 seconds

Telekinesis: The movement of objects with her mind. Anything larger than a human is too heavy for her mind. 5% energy drain

Cast Time: Instantaneous

Telepathy: Reading her opponents' minds. She can only focus on one at a time. Energy drain and cast time depend on mental resistance of the target. If there is no mental resistance, she can stay in the target mind for up to a minute, each 15 seconds draining 20% of her energy. After she is lowered to 20%, she cannot use this any longer. In a mind with mental resistance, she loses twenty% of energy for every 5 seconds she spends in the mind, meaning she can spend a maximum of 20 seconds in her target mind, and whatever she gets will usually be fragmented.

This ability will never be used without the specific permission of another RPer.

Delano: Shifting her weapon into another form. 5% energy drain per shift.

Cast Time: 2 seconds

Force Field: Forms a shield that can take two bullets, two sword swings, a small explosion, or a single high level magical spell. Upon breaking, it drains 5% of his energy.

Cast Time: Instantaneous

History: Born to a working class family in the 1800s, Avril led a relatively uninteresting life. She was pulled out of school early to work from home with her mother, as most women/girls in that era did not continue with their education.

However, her education in home-making ended abruptly as a plague struck when she was 18, forcing her to grow up extremely fast. First it struck down her mother who was the main houseworker, meaning that Avril had to step up and take the role. But then her father died and Avril was the only adult in the home. One by one her brothers and sister died, and eventually Avril succumbed to the disease.

Outside in the plague ridden streets, Avril let out a delirious cry for help to any god or demon who would hear her, and was there and then transformed into what she is today, an ammoral monster with a lust for destruction. Since that day, she has been a morally devoid individual who lives off destruction.

Are witches a distinct race? Or is she a human who happens to be a witch?

Speed: Avril can run at 70mph in short bursts

Unaugmented, that's a bit much, considering an Olympic sprinter will top out at about 23 mph.

Reflexes:

Quoting my predecessor here: "Regardless of how fast your character is, it is severely doubtful that he can dodge bullets that have already been fired. ... [A] common today rifle bullet moves at 4000 feet (1200 meters) per second, that is fast as hell."

Fireball:

I'd like a more original name here. Just to be picky.

Freezing Point:

How big is the Area of Effect on this spell? How big is her heat bubble? Could she bring others into the bubble if she wanted to protect them for reason?

Damage depends on the size of the spike.

Give us an approximate scale on this; i.e. a six inch would do X damage, a twelve inch would do Y, etc.


Does the chasm appear instantaneously? Or does it gradually yawn open, giving people a chance to jump out of the way?


What's the AoE of this one? How long would the blindness last?

Beam of Light: Dagger of Darkness:

How much damage?

Telepathy:

Give us a general range for the drain; i.e. if it lasts X seconds, it drains Y%

Also, be very, very careful with this ability, as it toes the line of meta-gaming. Make sure that you're only pulling information that is readily available to you (i.e. in a character's bio/already in a post).
