The Retreat: An 'In Character' Chit Chat Thread

Hearing this, Judas relaxed to know Crimson would not dwell in the past. "goood, I'm relieved to hear that. I guess you have found a way to make that past help you, and that earns self-pride." Pausing he continued, "And it is understandable you would not tell me of your past, and I too agree, these are our first impressions. After we leave here, our paths with probably split, so I do agree with you on that point."

A fairly young boy walked in. His name was Cinexvnt. He came from far away and was dead tired. He saw the pillows and sunk into them. He felt very excited and nervous. This was because he was waiting for permission to begin battling others. He looked around and saw others he was so nervous all he could say was "h-hey"

His black figure was almost enveloped in the bright white cold as Filendie waded through the settled snow that made everything look like one entity. He kicked the snow in front of him as he strode, each step getting very slightly harder as the weight strained each muscle in his legs, his staff aided him as he used it to take the weight off of his feet to press on further.
Through the veil of snow he spotted a large log cabin not too far away. The snow had melted on the windows and around the door that must have been from the heat inside. He instantly altered his course towards it. He didn’t mind the cold or the snow; it was just the effort it took to walk through it.

He eventually made it to the door, his boots crunching the snow on the porch. He stepped into the first bit of shelter he had had in what felt like hours. Roughly brushing the snow from his coat, his hair and stamping it off of his boots he reached for and opened the cabin door before quickly turning to close it behind him. The rush of heat was almost too much for him but wasn’t completely unwelcome. Nearly all of the remaining snow had almost melted as drips of water meandered down the shaft of his staff, coat and his general attire. His damp matted hair clung to the sides of his face as he made his way into the room. The cabin looked welcoming enough and without really paying too much attention to who was around him he continued into the room, sidestepping a person in the doorway and made straight for the bar.

Propping the staff next to him he just put one hand on the bar gently, instantly getting the attendants attention.

“Just... a water please” he said and waited patiently. It only took the attendant a few moments to pour a large glass of water and with a nod in acknowledgement took the glass off of the bar and took a rather large, yet measured gulp before laying it back down on the bar with a large sigh after he finished swallowing.

Vitrenie and his wolf walked into the scene. Tired from the small journey he yawned and relaxed his shoulders. Shiela let out a loud bark that startled him before she ran over to the fireplace. She walked in a circle and laid down beside it. Not going to sleep but instead enjoying the warmth of the flames.

Vitrenie watched her and smiled. He wanted a nice rest as well, so he went over to Shiela and placed his weapon beside her. Then he went to the closest empty spot on the couch and sat down. He fidgeted a little before finally relaxing into the cushions. He let out a deep sigh and listened to the crackle of the fire.

Jamie Hawthorne assessed the scene unfolding in front of her vibrant green eyes as she seated herself uncertainly at the open bar. There was an assortment of colorful characters busying themselves with nursing their drinks or simply easing themselves into booths and plush couches. Everyone was exhausted and there was a communal sense of relief that washed over the room.

One of the barmaids who had taken a ragged cloth and was vigorously wiping out one of the glasses smiled at the newcomer.

"What can I get you, dearie?" Her plump face was convivial and motherly, she had a pleasant air about her that was simply infectious. Jamie's eyes flitted over to the large black menu that was swinging precariously overhead. Behind the women and men servicing their sea of clientele was a pantry stocked full of all sorts of wines and spirits. They were categorized by year and by their country of origin. As she wasn't of age to be consuming liquor freely she decided not to order anything alcoholic. Besides she also desired a warm beverage to settle her stomach.

"Just an Absynthian tea please with a hint of mint."

"Sugar too, darling?"

"Yes, please." The red haired freckled woman nodded and retreated through a set of swinging double doors. Jamie bridged her slim hands together and rested her chin on them, watching for any potential companions to engage in conversation with.

Shiela perked her ears up and gave the air a quick sniff. She then got up on her four paws and followed her nose to one of the patrons. She made her way to the newer comer and sat herself beside her. She then popped her head up beside her brushing her fur against the person’s arm and gave the tea she had a quick sniff.
“Shiela! Down!” Vitrenie said. Shiela got down and moved to behind the person she brushed against. She shook her pelt in the manner that canines do. “Mind your mutt” Vitrenie could hear someone mumble under their breathe. He simply ignored it and got up from his seat. He went over to Jamie,
“I’m sorry for that. She’s not used to the sweet scents of Tea. She didn’t bother you too much did she?” As Vitrenie spoke, Shiela brushed up against his backside in a small apologetic manner. Both of their tails brushed each other.
