Here we have the best abilities system, so vote away!
 
FFVII and it's materia system.

Why? It was so much simpler than VIII, IX, and X. It's easy to figure out what you're doing when you're plugging in materia into equipment.

VIII - Junction system was overly complex.

IX - through weapons doesn't appeal to me (I'm having the same problem with Tactics Advance in that I'm having to buy more and more items)

X - Sphere Grid was alright, but the 'locks' made it seem harder.

XII - License system was alright, but not as great as materia.
 
Materia was shite. Simple, no fun in using it. V's system > VII's.

Anyway, voted for VIII, simply because junctioning was awesome, summons were also far more useful, and they weren't just there for summoning and disappearing. They had nifty skills to learn.

Also liked XII's, VI's. IX's were alright.
 
It's quite clearly X innit, that sphere grid was like orgasmic. Kinda.
 
I enjoyed using the junctioning system the best. using GFs to improve attacks and add elemental attacks and immunities
