      Differences between the versions

FFT is my FAVORITE game of any FF's. When I heard of the PSP version, I thought I was going to have a heartattack lol. However, from reading some stuff on this forum and some game reviews, it seems like they changed some things. So....what's different from the PS1 version? And also, what would you rather play?

What type of Multiplayer is it? I mean, can me and a friend (or friends) go co-op on some annoying Chocobos, or can I slaughter my friends with Orlandu? Or both?

I think you team up and battle in a battle with your friend. Also Luzo is the main character for the upcoming game FFTA2 aswell xD

FFTADVANCE!? Er...liked it but don't exactly know if it deserves a sequel....

Luzo? Wasn't Ramza and Marche the main characters of the Tactics games?

There are also two new subquests revolving around Agrias and one new subquest revolving around Beowulf and Reis. Unfortunately, for one of the Agrias subquests, you have to keep Lavian and Alicia (the two knights that come with Agrias) until Chapter 4. Trust me, though, it's worth it.

As far as which version I prefer, I have to say the PSP port. The dialogue is much more natural and authentic, not to mention the translation errors were fixed in the transition. I was a little apprehensive when I heard they were adding voice overs for the new FMV sequences, but I found my fears to be baseless (The scene with Ramza and Delita in the Zeltennia Chapel is Godly [no pun intended]). Though some of the name changes take getting used to, you soon forget that Algus is now Argath when you rediscover (in even better dialogue) what a pompous heel he is.

My most covetable kudos to Julius for these two signatures.

Just got tactics for the psp and I'm loving it. I hadn't played the psx version but from what I've heard it's a pretty good port. The game sure is hard. I haven't gotten my ass handed to me yet but I can see it happening soon. Gotta love everything final fantasy.

Forgot one of the most significant changes. The origional had a parallel leveling system for all battles, where your enemies were always the same level as you. However, in the psp port, most story line battles have enemies at a set level, making life a tad bit easier (solo fight with Weigraf still sucks, though).

I've yet to play the PSP game, so I voted the Playstation version.

I still have the game too and it's one of my favourite games of all time thus far.
