Grandia III
When I fired this game up,I was sorely tempted to turn it off and trade it.Have you heard the opening theme song? It's like some teeny-bopper-mall-punk-grrrl-attitude-Avril Lavigne-Kelly Clarkson crap. Not exactly the best way to start off a feeling of immersion in another world. But I decided to no be judgmental, and played it.The story is cliched, the character designs are awful, and the music, well,'nuff said. But the battle system,ahhh.....this was one of the absolute best(and even fun)battle systems I've ever encountered. It even made me start liking the story and the characters! If you haven't tried it,try and find it used or borrow it or rent it,whatever, see what you think. Then add to this thread your thoughts!

I haven't finished Grandia II yet, but I'm debating whether to get III or not. =/ Well, we'll see...I still have to see the trailer for it.

I watched my friend play this game. Yeah, the battles are definitely the best part. We used to yell at him to cancel certain enemies' actions if it looked like they would attack soon.
"CANCEL D! CANCEL D!"

I think that it's Square Enix.....but regardless,if you've finished FFXII and need an RPG fix, definitely get it.Just try and bear with it through the opening song, though. The battles are great!!!Story is a little cliched, but it's still good.

Grandia 1 is way better than this game.
The skill system rocked in G1.
G3's was ok I guess.

Grandia is a GameArts series, Square Enix is the publisher of Grandia III.
I really want to play the third game. I enjoyed the first two and the battlesystem is supposed to be even better. I don't care the story and characters aren't all that great, As long as the game is fun, I'm happy.
