There are few things worse than a feeling of helplessness, and that's what it is. There's nothing anyone can ever do to give a dead child his life back. No matter what the reason for the murder is, this is a sad story. The fact that it was over something so trivial just makes it worse.

A life sentence? I wasn't aware that punishments that harsh were handed down to minors.

I live in Canada, and despite the more tolerable stance on homosexuals, I still see people spout hate about people who are gay, and it makes me sad and angry. I don't know anyone n real life who is gay, but I've met a lot of people online who are and there's nothing bad about them.

As far as I know, being gay is something genetic, so you could probably kill someone for any reason then.

Hell, if the world ratio was the other way around, someone could be killed for being heterosexual.

I just hope that people smarten up and realize that same-sex couplling isn't wrong or even "against the law of nature"; if it was, than why did nature let it happen then?

I haven't always accepted homosexuality as natural. When I was young, I was suspicious and intolerant towards intimate same-sex relations. Becoming more understanding and accepting is a part of growing up. Some people's views don't change as they mature, however.
