It's actually rather pathetic that some people felt so insecure by a gay kid in their class that they had to kill him. I think that judging someone solely on their sexual orientation is childish, there's more to people than who they're attracted to, but homophobes fail to see that.

The only positive I can see out of this is proven right here in places like this forum. The thinking youth are accepting homosexuality and hopefully the elder people will take their misguided opinions with them when they leave this place.

Its terrible that it happened but thankfully its not as common as it was years gone by.

I had a boss that used to explain to me how when he was a teenager he and a group of his friends would go into gay movie theatres just to beat up the homosexuals. He ended his story with 'can't get away with that nowadays' and a sigh.

No thank you, take it to your grave old guy.

Glad to hear there's so medical evidence hopefully coming to light soon.

Some guy killing another guy isn't teaching anyone anything... It's murder, just like it happens everyday everywhere.

I'm sorry the kid died and the kid who killed him because he is gay is a piece of shit but it's not teachign anyone to murder.

It is always a horrible tragedy when someone is murdered, but to be murdered over your sexuality is one of the worst crimes that can be committed. Personally, I wouldn't say I'm all for people being gay, but that doesn't mean I'd go and kill somebody just because they think differently than me. I'm not a saint either, and if someone wants to live that way, who am I to say they can't? Hate crimes like this are happening far too often now, and it is such a shame that things such as sexuality can drive someone to take another's life.That boy that killed him should recieve tha maximum punishment, and not be shown any any mercy.

So what exactly do you define as teaching? Being taught from a textbook and being shown how to do something step by step? People learn on their own. Everything you do teaches you something, regardless of having a guide on how to do it or not.

I hope someone shoots this kid in his kneecap, breaks his arms, sticks a knife in his gut, sprays his eyes with pepper spray until his eyes ain't gonna work no more and/or stab them with needles, brutally beats him with a bat, and sets him on fire. Stupid bastard.

This topic makes me feel so many very different variations of irritated/angry.

I hate to kinda beliitle this but, its not new, its not unique, its still disgusting, dont get me wrong i think its loathsome but, it is no different from any other hate crime, killing someone because they are black/gay/muslim, its all the same really.

the kid is a disgusting person and evidently fails at being a human.
I saw a movie about a year ago, and it was about how in paris three guys went out looking for a gay person to kill, they saw a gay guy, and they kicked him in the head untill his skull cracked.

it shows how cowardly people can be that they need to kill someone because they are different.

Intolerance. It happens everywhere. Despite most religions preaching tolerance towards fellow man, it often goes ignored. The acts are supposed to be frowned upon, NOT the people. And if not religious?

Then it's even worse in my eyes. I know several people who are gay. I've seen the look of hatred in their eyes as some fat piece of shit religious fool spouts hate nonsense. I share their hatred of the religious fool. It's making a religion something it never was.

I remember reading this and was shocked. The 14 year old who kiled him got a life sentence for murder I think. Thats what was printed in our local paper.

Its sad that someone so young is killed for something they believed, its sick. The worlds getting worse.

Life sentence, huh. Now, I'm not one who judges people, but I hope the bastard gets raped everyday by big ugly dudes with prison tats. Let's see how long it takes for him to regret that day.
