It takes me far longer to chose something to wear than just throw on a uniform. You don't have to worry about what other people think (I don't care these days - but gee kids in school can be harsh if you don't 'fit in') If you had that attitude with an employer, You'd just get your cards.

Yeah, I get the point about uniforms really kind of helping out with the whole "fitting in" thing. I mean, it does help. Personally, I've never had to wear a uniform, so naturally I wonder what it would be like. And for some people though, dressing how they do isn't just to "fit it". Sometimes (like in my case), it expresses my mood, and how I'm feeling. It's just my way to be me. Unfortunately, a lot of people have been switching over to my particular style lately, so people tend to think that's what it is.
Still though, a lot of people do dress the way they do to "fit in" with their specific clique. It drives me insane...so in those aspects, uniforms at my school would be amazing....

Oh yeah, I know what you mean by people dressing the way they do in street clothes not just to "fit in". There's a lot of people out there who are very content with the way they dress and don't give a damn what other people think. Good for them. I was just using the whole "fitting in" issue as an example as to why I think uniforms can also benefit others.
Really, I personally love wearing street clothes more than I do uniforms. Street clothes creates individual uniqueness, and that's really great.

I loved wearing a uniform in high school.
I just had to wake up and throw the same thing on everyday and run to school. Heck, I could wake up 5 minutes before I had to leave and it wouldn't be a problem...
The best part? I went ot an all girls school so I didn't have to wash it every night, rarely ever had to shave my legs, could do my hair however the hell I wanted, and I didn't feel the need to shower every night .
Now how's that for expressing yourself?

I've never had to wear a uniform at school...though I'll have to wear a suit when I start at a new college this April.
At work, my employer changes the uniform every few months, it seems. Used to have to wear a green vest. Now I wear a black apron. Lame.
Fortunately, we're allowed to wear whatever we want under the apron. Well...as long as we don't wear shorts, skirts, shirts that reveal our backs, no-sleeved shirts, sandals or other shoes that don't cover the toes or heels, shirts with logos, sweatpants...and...uh...
Hm. Well...we're allowed to wear jeans, anyway.

It is very simple why do schools force you to wear a special uniform.
For me and the way i see it school is like the military. Each force has its own uniform. And its uniform is diffrent than the other force
For example the air force has a diffrent uniform than the navei's uniform.
The schools are the same.
Wy did thay do that?
Imagion that we have five schools A, b, c, d, e
Now lets imagion that a student from school a attacked a student from school e.
That is why to make it esairer to know who attacked who.

Personally, I find many reasons to wear uniforms:
Reason 1: It prepares the student for reality, not the little world they'd been living in up till then. In the workforce and special occasions, it is customary (for the workforce, often necessary) to wear a decent outfit. You have to dress to a certain code in the workforce, so it doesn't seem illogical to prepare the kids for this before they get there.
Reason 2: It helps to prevent discrimination. When people have to dress the same, it takes away a reason to tease from those retarded bullies. Either they'll dress as geeky as you, or you'll dress as cool as them, and nobody dresses differently. Also, styling a uniform is somewhat limited. It's difficult to properly style a white polo and black pants.
There are others, but I'm too lazy to write them out right now. That, and I have to study psych
