Whatever man, keep finding the worse examples of things to keep an argument alive but I am finished here. Have fun, I suggest to open your mind though that you look for some descent rap instead of finding the worse examples to prove some point of yours.

In my opinion he is a disgrace to rap.

HE has no pacing, or verbal projection, I can point out rap artists that do have talent in the 2.

I must admit, not ALL rap is bad. But there was one song that I heard that was so disgusting and vile, the second I heard I said "nooooooooooooooooo", it was that bad. I'll give it a chance but if I dont like it, I dont like it.

And I absolutely HATE Emenim, or however you spell his name >_>

I found the decent rap that keeps popping up in the debate now and again...

"My ergonomic keyboard never leaves me bored
Shopping online for deals on some writable media
I edit Wikipedia
I memorized Holy Grail really well
I can recite it right now and have you ROTFLOL
I got a business doing websites

I do HTML for them all

Anyway, Korytco, the reason people keep finding the worst in rap is because there is nothing good about it...they rap about how life is shit and about how life is hard for people in the ghetto when they have absolutely no idea what they feel like...I'm sure it must be difficult to live a multi-million dollar house with four or five top of the range cars whilst other people are struggling to feed themselves.

Rap music is creative?

Creative, as in altering the words and beat slightly, whilst still retaining the same lyrical themes which appeal to "gangsta" wannabes. Most rap is the same basic shit rearranged and remixed. There are some good rap artists out there, as there are in every genre, crap or not, but the majority of rap revolves around gangbanging hoes and sounding all tough.

I wouldn't call 90% of rap "art", just as you wouldn't call a bunch of dog poo arranged as letters "art".

I bet you that most rap is underground rap, and that if you look beyond the pop artists and the more famous of rap artists that you will find that most rap is actually not like that and is in fact descent.

Proof?
You don't have any. Sure, you do get some talented underground rappers, however very few. The ones who's lyrics have any meaning are almost all spoken word poets, who recite poetry to a beat. Not rap, infact most don't even have MCs but why would you care, it's not like you've needed proof ever as far as you're concerned

Yeah, that kinda defeats the point of a Forum, where people DISCUSS things, if you want to state your opinions without hearing others' go do a fucking livejournal or something.

As for me, I think rap takes very little talent these days, the lyrics they come up with are sickening.

Those rap "artists" being just amateurs who try to make "good" rap, and fail epicly. It's not just the lyrics which I hate, but the tunes on their own sound awful and repetitive. In the same way, the majority of "modern" rock is "indie" rock, which I don't like, myself. Not to anger Placebo, or any other indie fans. <_<

"Underground" rap tends to just have different lyrics, but sounds very similar as "mainstream" rap, and is just as annoying to listen to, IMO.

You still have not convinced me that rap has no talent either. You provided a few examples and have not given the benefit of the doubt. Sure I admit some lyrics stink and some artist are plain blah but I still think that rap music, just because it is of a different style is not an untalented form of music.

You never tried it , and you never gave it a chance even yet some people definately like it and can make aliving off it , where as a lot of rappers fail or do not make it that far. Minus that just because something is raped, changed for the worse that does not mean its not worth having. Rap is actually fairly old in different forms it evolved into this but the concept is actually fairly creative. Finding examples of uncreative artists does not prove anything either . Tell me that I have not proven anything says little because rap music is very diverse, I never claimed to be able to prove your opinions of it are incorrect but damn be sure my own opinions are allowed.

Anotherdrama queen? It is a rule to have as little drama here as possible and yet some people here post in threads that they hate, go off on me and its considered discussion? More like immature banter, thank you.

A mature individual would either be open minded or would not post in a thread that set him off just to start DRAMA.

Again, I was not asking for advice about myself , you do not ever need to give it again because I do not want it and it just causes more drama.
