Serious discussion, guys, or this shall be moved to Spam. =P
Hmm. I don't know, I guess I am pretty insane...to a certain degree. Actually, I'm more sane than anything. xD No, I don't have ADD, but I can show some OCD once in awhile.
Insanity can be a touchy subject for some, as they may know someone close to them who is probably, in the literal sense, indeed insane. I don't know anyone who is close to me that is classified as "insane", but I do know of people back in my country.
Anyway, no, I've never questioned my sanity. I mean, I can act insane if I wanted to, but that's entirely different. There's times where I'll think, "Haha, I'm so damn crazy sometimes" but that's it. Nothing serious where I'm seriously contemplating whether I'm insane or not.

I know, I brought it up because I think something triggered my insanity. Or something is significant enough in my life to be substance for insanity .
Like I am really annoying today, and hyper and wound up. I am acting like I am 10 years old, and I can not place my spazzing fingers on why.
I wonder if that can be considered insane, define insanity . Is it this ?

I wouldn't consider myself insane by any means, though I've questioned my mental state on at least two separate occasions in the past.
I'm a violent type when emotionally distraught. Extremely aggressive both physically and vocally, which nobody seems to have noticed at all and just assumes I'm having a little mood swing... which only adds fuel to the fire now that I conclude this. Not exactly a definition of insanity, but I'm completely warped when 'enraged', which causes much internal strife with myself.
I've questioned sanity over the above due to actions taken, but no, I don't think I'm insane. It's human nature to doubt oneself at some point or another, so people thinking for even a second that they're insane is perfectly normal. To me anyway.

Well, are those considered insane moments, if you always acted out of rage and anger would it be considered insanity ? Or do you always have a logical reason for that anger. Biologicaly speaking there is medication for violent mood swings, and if you went to a doctor he may diagnose you with something. Have you ever asked about it?
Oh the word is always there, and we stick it to things that we do not understand or want to understand but is anyone really insane?
Really, or are there people that we just deal with by calling them insane and locking them up without understanding them. Put them on some pill because things are beyond our comprehension and acceptance levels?

You are not insane though, the word is being used immaturely, and prematurely perhaps.
If someone is different or craves different things, he is all the sudden insane. - The quality or condition of being sane; soundness of mind.
- Soundness of judgment or reason.
That is the defintion of sanity, how bland is that?
Is it not reasonable for a mind to seek out what it wants . Is it not sound to be at peace with yourself. Who is the judge or right from wrong?
If you judge you are insane then are you , or does someone else have to believe it? If you do not believe you are insane and act to please yourself, and have soundness of mind are you insane?
It is always referred to as mental health. Well insane people are not unhealthy , no they are statisfied and happy. Furfilled and realized.
Unless we are talking depression .

I suppose the exact definition of "insane" is quite loose, so in a sense anyone can be insane for a period of time, if not indefinitely. Insanity seem to bare a greater un-spoken meaning which people assign to things, which Korytco says, that we might not necessarily be able to comprehend or easily understand.
So in conclusion, yes, I'd say I've been insane for a lot of my life. ;p

Define "insane".
If I am "insane" because I am a math geek, am eccentric and insensitive, and probably not neurotypical, I don't really care.
However, I can tell you I'm not a psychopath and don't go around killing people, nor would I kill people if my life depended on it.
