Your Endless Cry stats are now up in the 'profiles' thread. I noticed a little mistake within the stat allignment section that I missed on my first browse through. I've adjusted it accordingly, but let me know if you had something else in mind.
If given you your starting Items and Materia - you randomly got Barrier and Manipulate.
Phoenix Down
Contra explained it all well. It can be used both ways, normal FF 'casting on your dead comrade' or Crisis-Core's 'on myself for Re-raise' way.
If a player is going solo and is KO'd during the course of combat (without a Re-Raise status active), then they will waken at the next closest Inn with several penalties inflicted. These will consist of a percentage of Gil lost, several Item losses (usually the more potent Items), and EXP lost. The option is there for you to go solo, so don't worry. I won't suddenly throw a powerful monster at you if you are just traveling normally, but at the same time, I won't hold back if you head to somewhere more dangerous / lucrative.

So with EXP loss, would this include losing level-ups you have? Say you are 1exp above level 12, you lose... Would you fall back to level 11 or below?

I understand the lost of items and gil, but I am not sure if losing experience would be suitable seeing how hard is to get it in the first place. Will it come with a level loss like Scrhodinger has mentioned?

I had it set that you would have lost half the EXP that you would have gained from the opponent you last faced (and died from). So if the opponent you are fighting had 50 EXP available, and you died, you would have lost 25 EXP. However, if the majority of you think that this is too harsh, then I can alter it, and simply make you lose a larger amount of gil or items.

Honestly experience is harder to obtain, but if you wish to leave it this way, then I wouldn't mind being extra-cautious

Remember, the first page in the RP thread lists (almost) everything you need to know. It has a link to your profile, so you'll see that you actually have 1500 Gil. It also has a link, in the locations section, about Cosmo Canyon and it's interests - including the shops and how much things costs. Failing that, there's also a general item section with how much things costs. So yeah, just make sure that you guys refer back to it every now and again. 
So yeah, I've held off on doing your shopping until you've re-addressed what you want with your current Gil...
