Quite basically, Faith couldn't remember her previous life because of the nuclear explosion. She can only recall her life from just shortly before it occurred and what happened after.

Interesting to say the least. I'm liking it already, although I'm afraid to say that I'm going to continue with the mild form of amnesia for a quite a while. It puts Faith in an interesting position, having to witness them on such strange terms with each other. Filden and Rene speaking of, I mean.
