How's Your Temper, Dear?

Do you constantly lose your temper easily? For instance, you take a small thing and make it into a big deal. (No, I'm not talking about enhancements, guys.

) Are you at the point where you think you should take anger management?

I guess I lose my temper quite easily in real life. I'm not saying I'm always in a grumpy mood, but when something sets me off, I go nuts.

Yeah, hard to imagine, huh? But there it is...However, I don't think I'm THAT bad compared to many others.

Yeah, I have a pretty short temper. There are some things that really piss me off that may seem simple to others. However, I don't stay really angry for very long.

I tolerate some things unless it annoys me so much that I burst.

Actually, the last time I've been really really angry was over 5 years ago, and I can't even remember, but I'm sure I got into a fight just because someone was making fun of me, yes, I was a bad kid back then, but I've reformed!

Hmm, the thing is, this just started happening recently. Back then, when life was simple, I never had to worry about my temper because...well, there was really nothing to worry about. I didn't lose my temper with a snap of a finger.

But lately things just set me off quickly. I guess that this is probably due to stress. Stress can bring many unpleasant things to people, it's not even funny.

I must say though, that when I do lose my temper, it doesn't really last very long. (Quantity over quality this time). And I usually say sorry to that person, although saying "sorry" is really hard for me to do. I don't know why. >.<

I'm pretty laid back. It takes a lot to really get me angry. As far as most people go, I do have a lot of patience.

And when I do lose my temper, I've been told that I'm a pretty scary person.

In my youth, it used to be really bad. Over the years I simmered down, and I still notice I'm getting calmer and better at figuring out what's bothering me and what I can do about it, albeit the latter usually isn't an easy task.

That said, I admit I've been stressed quite a lot over the past two years, mostly due to online people being jerks...it's funny. IRL I hardly have any issues whatsoever...maybe a tiff with my parents here and there when I see them, but that's normal. My stress seems to come in volumes...a few volumes I can handle, but when it piles up too much, I become more susceptible to people's insults and rudeness, and thus more likely to show my displeasure...I won't lash out like a madman right off the bat, but if the "abuse" is severe enough, I might...

To calm myself, I need to be alone and focus on something fun, usually loud/angry music, playing bass or a game...things like that. When I've calmed down, I can think of what happened and choose a course of action... I usually do feel bad about reacting the way I did, so I do apologise. I might even apologise a little too much, but in several cases, a person just went too far and I break off contact. It takes a long time for me to do that when the person is/was a friend of mine, though...I'm a little too nice in such cases.

In the last few years, I have developed a really short temper. It's probably my worst quality and the one I'm most ashamed of. I never used to be like that a teenager either, which makes it worse.

It always tends to be really trivial things (like waiting ages for a bus, or the computer not working) that will work me up. Then afterwards I'll feel stupid for having gotten angry in the first place. It's something I obviously have to work on changing.

It takes me a really long time to lose my temper, its like I am just storing it all and condensing it but when it gets to a certain level I became rather callous and its scary but that hardly ever happens though.

I can loose my temper sometimes. I usually try to hold my temper back but if I hold my temper in too long I can burst. Which is a problem, when the day comes when I loose my temper I snap out at everyone. I feel bad afterwards, of course.

I'm not as stressful now, but, I am very stressful during college. I loose my quickly temper and I can be angry and upset with everything for a while.

I do my best to hold in my temper while driving especially. There are a lot of aggressive drivers where I live. I use to loose my temper while driving. Now I just think to myself: "Well, I hope karma gets them" and move on.

It all depends on the situation, honestly. I'd like to say that I was a rock when it came to this subject; that I was stoic. I'm not. I wear my emotions on my sleeve, whatever they happen to be. It's just a matter of whether or not the situation happens to affect me... but either way you see exactly how it does.

There are things that send me through the roof pretty quickly. Certain people and certain things they do are enough to make me go 3rd grade hissyfittin' in a big way. Breaking shit, tossing things, and all around punching shit that shouldn't be punched comes around pretty quickly. Those fits though are pretty rare. Most of the time when that mood comes around it's due to problems with women... although I guess it's not good that I associate problems with women with violent beatings...

Like I said though, it's extremely rare when I get that mad. Usually other people are flipping out and ready to burn down the town far before I even raise an eyebrow to a situation. Like I said, I wear my emotions on my sleeve... but I just don't care about a lot anymore. lol People, frustrating people, are pretty much the only thing that send me anymore.

And yea, Mitsuki, you do lose your temper fairly quickly. Even when we were on really good terms you did. And then you'd apologize a lot.
