The forums aren't dying because of the weather. They're not dying out because of exams. Every internet site would suffer if that was the case. Last christmas was FFF's prime, I'd say. It was ridiculously active, less the fucked server, we had the most amazing members and everything was going swimmingly. So why do I think that forums, in general, are dying?

There's a point in Final Fantasy where's there's just nothing left to talk about. We make our clubs, we post our games, we get lost in some debates ... but what happens after that? The only really active club is the SeeD's and, last I checked, very little of that club had to do with being a Final Fantasy club. The newest Final Fantasy game was Crisis Core, to which we have not received yet. What was the last game after that? Kingdom Hearts II or Final Fantasy XII, wasn't it? That was around October, which explains the high activity last christmas. Right now, there're no new games. There're no new releases. There're no new revelations to indulge in.

In conclusion, Final Fantasy forums are dying out because Final Fantasy itself has become exhausted. I don't know about anyone else, but I have the FF sections minimised when I visit this site and I've even minimised the KH section now, because there's nothing particularly interesting there anymore. The bottom line is that FFF or any other FF forum wont suddenly be revived when the sun starts shinning, it'll only get a jolt when there're a few new games.

That...could be very true. The only new FFs we've had coming out lately are for handhelds, and quite a few people don't have those. I for one don't, and I don't plan on buying one either simply because I lose interest in handheld games.

I was just going to say it was the server. And Saix, please note, I'm NOT complaining in this post. It's simply that the server prevents people from posting as much. After a few refreshes, people are bound to get frustrated and go do something else. Just this afternoon it was being extremely spastic, so I finally got off the computer and went to Starbucks.

Basically FF, is now boring.

SE, have successfully killed FF with all the "REMAKEREMAKEREMAKESEXUSNOWWITHYOURMONEYPLEASE , OH LOOK FFXIIIMILKMILKMILKMILK"


It's now pretty boring, not really worth the talk it used to be, only get the odd "hey guyz whut button for attack?" member for one post nowadays.

Also the countless dramas this place has seen it's a wonder any of us are still here.

And you haven't missed much, so...topic case in point xD The server's been crapping out alot. It's pissing off people because we can't get our FFF fix. I personally just remedy that by playing FFTactics.

We need some ideas or something to get people onto the board again. A lack of FF games may be the reason lol. But we need to do something to get people on here.

Branch out to cover other, newer and popular games. It's really the only way I think.

ya know what i think he is somewhat right and most people could rewrite the storylines in rps but not very many people know how to rp which is why i wish to promote it. most sites build up their rps then worry about keeping up with the game thus making it to where they tend to last a long time and from what i hear this site was the same before the rp system was upgraded

You know, this is a Final Fantasy forum. In the majority of cases, people are here first and foremost to discuss that, not RP. If RPing is such a big thing to you, why not join a site dedicated to such a thing?
