So basically sites like MySpace, DeviantArt, etc are allowed. Youre not advertising anything, just giving others a chance to view your work. Any forum is not allowed as that is advertising the forum to others.

Oops. my bad then. I thought it was just Final Fantasy forums only, but whatever. I don't personally see a problem advertising to other forums like anime forums as they don't contain the same materials of discussion as an FF forum would, but whatever.

Can you change the text of a link to a forum so it isn't actually "advertising", like this: GIANT TOASTERS IN SPACE

I suppose we could do something like

DON'T GO TO www.finalfantasyforums.net

since it's technically not advertising either.

Does invisible text links count as advertising? I propose adding an amendment to clarify this.

I knew there was competition amongst forums, but this is nuts. I guess different people take things differently. Instead of viewing advertising other forums as a slap in the face, if the forum itself was confident enough, advertising wouldn't have to even be an issue because if people loved it here, obviously they'll stay and its not like some advertisements are gonna make someone do a 180.

But I can see why the rule was made, since some FF forums seem whack really. Lulz, forum wars.

If this place was a little more active they'd have no need for the rule. FFF is slowly dying out.
