If I were to draw a pic (I'm not saying I will yet) It would be based on Edge and Rydia from FFIV. I love the ending bit with them two ....
Plus a girl with green hair ..... and a Ninja ....

Can I draw ANY character as a couple, or does it have to be the official one.

as in, we all know taht Squall and Rinoa are togeher,
but can we do example, Squall and Selphie (will NEVER happen, but still)

Frankly, I don't see the problem with portraying the characters as homosexual. It's like when people say G-rated movies shouldn't involve any gay elements, despite the fact that lots of young children are being raised by responsible homosexual parents.

...I think I'll get off the pulpit now, since I'm likely not even participating in this contest.

It's really none of your business, considering you aren't entering this contest. Unless you're entering, then keep your opinion closed. This is NOT a freaking debate thread, nor will it turn into one either, so keep your opinions about homosexuality in the appropriate threads in the debate section and do not post them here. I will do nothing but delete your posts. You've been warned. This has nothing to do with any of what you just posted anyway. We're simply trying to have a fun theme that doesn't involve yaoi or yuri. If you don't like, then stay away from it, it's as simple as that.

Yaoi and Yuri actually refer to the more pornographic nature of homosexual relationships done in drawings of an anime styled nature. Shonen ai is probably the term for the less pornographic depiction of homosexuality in the same way, although what you're probably just getting at is that you don't want to see any kind of homosexual relationships for this contest. But I don't have a problem with that, so I'm not really curious enough to know why you put up that restriction.

For the record, what I'm planning to draw involves Rosa and Cecil.

Rhea, that was completely off topic and irrelevant to this thread. You should know better, you use to be a moderator. You already announced you were doing Zidane x Garnet by the way. =P

Can we please stick to the topic? Just say which pair you're drawing, once is enough.

I was hoping to spend more time on my drawing, but it turns out it's not nearly as complicated as the Sephiroth drawing I was doing for another contest. I know I don't have to submit it until January, so I'll probably tweak it by then, but are we allowed to post the contest entry on our other galleries in public, and are we allowed to put our names on the drawings themselves, or is this going to be completely anonymous until the end of the contest?
