What's the permit and driver's license laws in your state or country?
What are the permit and driver's license laws in the state or country that you live in? Like how old do you have to be before you can get your permit and how old until you can get your driver's license and also how many hours, of driving with an adult with your permit, do you have to have in until you can get your license?
Well i live in Maryland in the U.S. and the laws here is that you have to be 15 and 9 months till you can get your permit. Then you have to have 60 hours of driving with an adult with your permit, with 10 hours of those being at night, till you can get your license. But to get your license you have to be 16 and 3 months.
What's the laws in your state or country?

We can get a provisional licence at 16 but we can't actually start learning how to drive until 17, with an overpriced instructor and stupidly hard theory & hazard and perception test
Its no wonder I can't drive really

we can get our learners at 15, then after 6 months restricted, then after 9 or 13 (depends if you do a defensive driving course) you can get your full license.

Kids around here are eligible for their Driver's Permit at 16. 6 months after acquiring their permit, they're eligible for their Driver's License.
I don't believe you need to log in a certain number of hours behind the wheel while under the permit. I just sat around for 6 months before getting my license. It's up to you if you want to get the practice you need before taking the driving test, I suppose.

Our laws are about to change quite a lot. First, they're putting the age up to 18, which somehow has something to do with bringing down the number of deaths related to drink driving.
Then, you won't be allowed to put in for your test until you've had at least 50 hours with a certified instructor. So no more being taught by your parents. This is to stop people passing their theory on their 17th birthday, having a few lessons and passing two months later only to flip the car at 100 mph.
Then (and this is the worst bit), you have to pass your test. Then re-take it 6 months later before you can get your full license.
That really makes me glad I passed when I did.

I know that Maryland had wanted to change the driving laws so you wouldn't be able to get your license until you were 18, but so far they havn't been able to. I hope they don't until after I get my license.
