Everything seemed to move so fast. Damian just stood there as the battle continued around him. His body trembling from the strain of holding his saber under the pressure of some unknown force. Before He knew it, the enemy was flying away. And in that instant his legs gave way from under him. He fell to his hands and knees. He felt tired, but he knew that he would die if he stayed there.
Zeria was only a few yards away from him. She seemed distraught at what had just happened. Betrayal must be hard one the one that is betrayed, especially if they had been close to the betrayer.
"Arth you fool," Damian whispered with a voice only he could hear. "Why did you join them?"
(OoC:hehe damian is so out of the loop on the relationships)
IC:
Damian sheathed his blade and began to drag himself over to Zeria. His legs had gone limp from all the energy he had used in these past couple hours. She was still sobbing when he reached her, but he had no time to comfort her.
"My Lady, we must leave." His voice was barely audible in this strong wind. "It is too dangerous for us to stay here."

Tears rolled down her cheeks, sparkling and dropping to the ground. She stayed on her hands and knees, crying hard.
"I can't...! I can't keep going if he's to be my enemy!"
Zeria really seemed crushed by the thought that she'd directed her rage and hatred at Julius for so long without realizing it. All of a sudden she stood, teary eyes gazing up at Julius.
"I really did love you...master...I still do. When I thought you were dead, I didn't want to keep living anymore...and now I'm not sure if I want to.............why?"
She dropped again, hand clutching her heart.
"Why did you betray us?! Why did you turn the back on the academy you created?!"

OOC: I suppose with two people now on my back, I should alter the appearance of Taharka's current physique. He's now an even larger bird.
IC:
Once again fluttering his wings, he threw the two warriors onto his back whilst simultaneously making himself aloft - rising higher at tremendous speeds. Debris was now passing dangerously close to Taharka and his small entourage, so he had only enough time to re-collect two of his Assassins from the tempest. Grasped in his mighty talons, they used their small level of magics to hasten Taharka's evacuation, thus relieving themselves of the danger. Rushing, tearing through the atmosphere to escape the ever-tightening hurricane, he finally reached the clear sky... for a moment, all his worries seemed lost - all concept of war, death, and conflict were gone - so beautiful it was, to behold the sky above the clouds. Clear, beautiful...
They were clear of the tempest walls, and thus he descended into the darkened lands of chaos and war; his heart sinking from the temporary lift he experienced mere seconds prior. He thundered down to the earth quite some distance away from the destroyed Mygeeto, as to avoid any potential hurtled debris. Taharka now hovered lightly above the ground, releasing his, then prompting the others to jump off. This war was... over. For now, at least, Taharka felt an air of relief he thought he'd never feel again. The magic flowing within him had fuelled intense anger deep in his heart and mind - resulting in the powerful form that fed off this particular emotion, until it was leeched to nothingness. The result was Taharka reverting to his regular form, to which he returned to... willingly. A grey wisp of cloud gathered around him, pulling itself to his heart as he finally returned to a human state.
"Sigh... gentlemen, it is time to press onward to our primary itinerary: the Water Shrine. If my sense of direction is correct, it should be directly North from our current location... give or take a degree or two. You boy..." he turned to Arth with a discontented look upon his face "... you are to stay here and ensure that any survivors of my magic are slain. Luckily for you they'll likely be weak upon confrontation. Do not fail me, lest you desire to face the consequences."
He advanced North, still regaining his composure from spending so much time in a completely different form. Walking was challenging, but manageable. He beckoned Julius over to proceed along with him, with a slight, feint flick of his hand.
Energy, apparently, had left him. Rest would be required at nightfall, much to the displeasure of Taharka.

Having eluded death's grasp thanks to Taharka's aid, Julius finally found himself in a more tranquil environment, leaving behind the near apocalyptic scenario of the doomed Mygeeto. Yet there was no time to waste, for the pursuit of the next gem was their primary objective. Taharka had clearly stated importance of this mission, and failure was not an option. Although displeased for not personally witnessing his opponents' demise, Julius did not allow this slight discouragement to distract him from his main objective; the retrieval of the Water Gem rumored to be held deep within the Water Shrine.
Taharka had already began to advance towards the shrine, yet Julius decided to remain in order to remind Arthvader of the importance of his new assignment, and at the same time he thought prudent to add yet another task to Arthvader's agenda.
"Arthvader, you know your orders. The fourth and fifth units are now under your command. Your main mission has been already informed to you by Lord Taharka himself, still I would like to add another task; you are to bring a full report about Vex's whereabouts. He possesses something we require. That is all...." Julius turned away from Arthvader and began to walk towards the Water Shrine.
Suddenly, Julius stopped and then he looked back to Arthvader from over his left shoulder and fixed his cold eyes on their new recruit. "Arthvader...do not fail us..." With this being said, Julius took his gaze away from Arthvader and left to follow Taharka.

"you can count on it, Lord Taharka, and Lord Julius. I won't let you down." Arthvader said as he began leading the troops over to the destroyed Mygeeto. Suddenly, he stopped, and faced his troops. "Okay, I'm going to tell you guys what our mission is. As Taharka mentioned to me, our objective is to stay here and take down anyone who appears from the ruined city of Mygeeto. Julius has also added that we need to get a report on Vex, if he's not dead already, and find out where's he heading. Now that you got your objectives, fourth Unit, I want you to stay here with me. As for the fifth unit, I want you to head back to Mygeeto and search the perimeter for any survivors. I'm warning you now, the tornado is still active there, so don't head towards the center. If Zeria, Vex, and Damian survived the tornado, sieze them and bring them to me. I'll deal with them myself. Now, go. you have your orders." Arthvader said as the fifth unit began their march back to Mygeeto. "I do hope they do survive the tornado. There's something I need to explain to them at some point. Especially to...' He thought as the forth unit formed a line around him. Arthvader then drew out his weapons, getting ready just in case they managed to get through.

( Ok me and Saix have agrred upon this. That by this time the Tornado has started to die down.)
The raging winds which have been howling throughout the battle, were begining to die down. Vex could begin to see the town outside of this infernal vortex. The devastation umimaginable, it was as if the town here never existed. It was complelty in ruins, nothing seemed to be standing. His memories shifting back to the events that had just unfolded and Julius's last words, the ones that told him to hold on to his gem till he could claim it. Grasping his sword tighter he vowed he would not let another gem fall into thier hands. He surveyed the lands and looked down at his comrades, "Are you two alright? It seems that this tornado is dying down. I sugest that after we scout the town for survivors we head towards the water temple as soon as possible."

Zeria choked back her tears. Her heart felt like it had been wrenched out of her chest...and now...a sorrowful, icy darkness had begun to creep in. She felt all alone. Lost. Forgotten. She brushed away the last tears and held in more, standing up. She would have to remain strong. Her voice echoed the same pain her heart was enduring.
"Come on. Let's go after them. They're probably going after a gem....and we can't let them obtain it..."
She dropped to her knees once more, wincing from the minor injuries she'd endured, but stood once again, bending the earth to her will...and creating a rock tombstone, engraving 'Julius' into it.
~Here lies where all of my dreams were torn from me...and my hope of being loved was shattered. Here lies the last of the man I knew...and loved. May I find the will to move on and guide his soul back from the depths of darkness...~
