now shadow thought to himself. he jumped out of the shadows with his scythe swinging "EAT THIS CLOUD" shadow yelled swinging his scythe at cloud's head. when cloud raised his weapon to block, shadow let go of the scythe with one hand again and casted poison, then fire, at cloud in quick succession. he then jumped back so cloud couldn't counter.

Kayne blinked after the group had acted, thinking that they might have a chance.
Though, as his eyes opened only to peer into the mako touched eyes of Cloud.
Before he could act, Aloud had made his attack, Kayne fell to his knee as Cloud retreated.
Though, the attack did not stop, Kayne looked around himself, and some glowing signs where spiraling around him.
And they faded away after a few seconds.

Kayne got to his feet.
He quickly checked his pockets ,he had enough potions, thought only 2 soma left.
The baton dude, Sage, shouted to Him that he should not stop his advance, and that the others should keep him covered.
Even thought he did not like to be completely reliant of the otehrs, he would st least do as told.

HE looked at the orbs in his staff, and really wanted to use the Quake spell, though, he was not sure if it would bring down the whole cave.
So, he really only had one thing to do.
"Got it!" he replied to the attacking Sage.

A second after Sage got off Cloud, The scythe weirder, to minimize attacks on his team mates. He awaited untill he had withdrawn.

There, he jumped off, giving Kayne the opening he needed.
"Lightening - Bolt 1" he shouted a total of 3 times, sending 3 pure energy current into Clouds body, sorta grinning to himself, as this might be what is making his hair stand like it did.
After which he inhaled a soma, to make sure he was in for a another round.

An ethereal entity slowly emerged into existence as Tokugawa called it forth with a blaze of his summon Materia. The figure was drapped in a long black cloak, it's very form a skeletal frame of bone and sinew; minimal flesh remaining. At it's feet stood an iron cauldron which brewed a foul concotion of hatred and despair, pain and loss. Hades slowly turned to Cloud, outstretching a boned finger as the contents suddenly burst from it's container, striking Cloud with a dizzying infection.

Cloud momentarily staggered back under the combined assault of the new Avalanche members. They had almost reduced his lifespan by half in just a few rounds. No easy feat. He slowly smiled to himself, growing even more impressed by Shadow, Kayne, Tokugawa and Sage's resolve. However, the battle wasn't over just yet. Utilising the same technique that he had previously used on Kayne, Cloud launched himself forward...

Yuffie grimaced as Cloud's blade tore through Shadow's armour, and the last remaining life was forced out of him. Shadow staggered, falling to the ground of the Forbidden Caves. She turned to the remaining fighters.

"When a fellow player is knocked out during combat, they can be revived through the use of a Phoenix Down. Phoenix Down's however, can also be used in another form. Players can use a Phoenix Down at any time, in order to activate an Auto-Raise status onto themselves. This is very crucial when it comes to solo battles that you may get into in the future."

Yukio ran over to a rocky structure, giving his body some support as he leaned his back against it and loaded some more rounds into his Battle Rifle. This Cloud Strife was something else! Hades, spell upon spell, and round after round of wailing away at him with whatever weapons his team carried, the man only seemed to be somewhat affected. Hades had certainly given one eerie show earlier, filled with all of the ominous vibes in the world. Yukio cringed slightly at the thought, and tossed a hesitant glance in his Summon's direction. Well, Hades' status effects did prove certainly useful. While being poisoned, and with the inability to summon or cast magic, Cloud's time to be taken down was soon.

His azure eyes were yanked to the side as he watched Cloud steal away whatever life was left in that 'Shadow,' fellow. Yukio grimaced, and sighed with a hint of frustration. 'Shadow' had ample time to heal himself, or ask for someone else's assistance in doing so, yet he refused to. Now was the time for the three left standing to work as a real team, and insure one another's health and ability to fight. Cloud had attacked the Mage 'Kayne,' earlier, and as such, Yukio knew healing him would be a top priority. Tossing a glance over to the hot-head, he'd ask him for some assistance. "Hey, Kid. I didn't catch your name earlier, but...could you lend me a Soma? I'll pay you back for it."

Summoning Hades took quite a lot of Yukio, surprisingly. Yukio wouldn't be of too much use if he didn't get a Soma to energize himself. Hopefully his next action would make Sage a little more willing to help out the blonde pretty-boy. Turning his attention to Kayne, Yukio would call out to him, as his hand slipped into a pocket and retrieved a Potion. "Hey! Mage...! Look this way!" Once Yukio had his attention, he would unscrew the Potion bottle and toss it at Kayne, casting it on him so his wounds would heal.

Lifting up his rifle, Yukio would prop it against his shoulder, eye focusing through the scope, which was pointed in Cloud's direction. Two more shots where what Yukio could offer this round. Keeping it in 'Sniper Mode,' Yukio would take several concentrated breaths, steadying his nerves. Aiming for his arm had been a good idea earlier, and that's where Yukio would aim this time. The first shot was aimed at his shoulder, and once his line of sight met up with that shoulder, he would fire a shot. Pausing to recover from the jolt against his own shoulder from the rifle, he would take a few more deep breaths, and try again. This time he was aiming for his arm, but a little mid-way. Taking a deep breath, he'd hold it in, fire once more, and exhale.

The heavy blade sliced through Shadow's armor, slamming him into the ground and removing any remaining life force. Hades seemed to emerge in his place, making Shadow's last words prophetic. The dust plumes lifted showing the damaged and bruised warriors still remaining. Suddenly the guy in pressed white shouted for Sage's attention, bringing him back to the task at hand.

Sage pulled a Soma free from his pouch and launched it to Yukio. Then turned his attention to the blue blur of a combatant. He hoisted his weapon, swinging wildly into Cloud's abdomen then pulled the trigger on his stun baton. An electrical current surged through the leader. Quickly resuming his previous tactic, Sage thumbed a finger over his Materia, [Steal] pilfering whatever else he could find off his adversary.

His right fist quickly continued the combo jabbing violently into Clouds chin, dragging the electrical rod as it went. His left hand made a final attempt at theivery. All the action was starting to take a heavy toll on the youth and he found himself begging for luck.

'You better have a damn good plan, whitey,' he cajoled, 'That was my last pick-me-up!'

Cloud braced himself after the latest onslaught of attacks struck him hard, almost throwing him completely off balance. Though he had knocked out the new Avalanche member known as Shadow, and disabled Kayne's ability to lessen his fatigue between actions, their combined power was beginning to wear him down. Not only that, but the poison inflicted by the dark status summon Hades, continued to course through his veins, sapping his life-force.

It was time to unleash his hidden focus. Concentrating for a moment, Cloud began to twirl his blade in the air above his head. The sword whirled, going faster and faster until it became a mere blur that was hard to make out with the naked eye. All around him, the dust in the Forbidden Caves began to rise into the air, merging into a melee by Cloud's hand motions.

Suddenly, Cloud launched the storm into the new Avalanche members. They were all struck hard, the savage wind knocking them hard against the far wall of the caverns. When the wind died down, Cloud glanced towards them. His attack had decimated their life-force...

Kayne fell backwards due to the wind that Cloud unleashed.
He made himself to his feet, and looked around.

The others seemed sorta OK, all things considered.
Though, the scythe wielder, remained without motion.

"HEY!. You alive?" Kayne shouted towards Shadow.
He out his hand in his pocket, and out came a phoenix down.
He popped the bottle, and threw it at Shadow's silent body.
That should revive him.

Kayne then turned towards Cloud, Kayne had one soma left. And he intended to use it.
He looked around the cave. The odds of it standing after a quake, where a 50/50 chance. And not too smart a move.

He stepped forward, and cast 2 Thunder on Cloud. Then chugging a Soma.

He hoped that that did something.

OOC: Kayne, i owe you big time, now let's see what a little anger can do.

IC: Shadow knew he was going to die, then he felt a weird uplifting. when the feeling passed, he saw the cavern floor around him, and he heard the guy who used thunder so often say "hey! you alive?" Shadow got up from the ground and shouted back "yeah, thanks a ton, i owe you one" then Shadow turned is attention to Cloud. The stupid lowlife had killed him! "now i'm pissed" Shadow muttered as he used a phoenix down on himself for auto-life. then he raised his hand and yelled at Cloud "OI SPIKY OVER HERE!" as Cloud turned towards his voice Shadow shouted "YEAH YOU FEEL MY ANGER! BUUUUURRRNN" Shadow screamed at him as he cast fire at Cloud.

Location: Cosmo Canyon || Forbidden Caves || Avalanche VS Cloud Strife

It should have held her attention, a fierce combat training scenario between Cloud and the new Avalanche members, however, Yuffie's attention was firmly fixated on the form of Tokugawa Yukio. Ever since he had first arrived, there had been a faint tug of recognition deep within Yuffie's memories, and yet, she simply could not place him. The way his expensive clothing fit him so perfectly, as if tailored and measured just for him, the way he stood within his combat stance firing his custom battle rifle - oozing confidence that verged on pure arrogance - and his very features which were, she had to admit, striking. It was then that the pieces of the puzzle suddenly clicked into place, and Yuffie opened her mouth wide in recognition.

"Y-Yuki?!"

The memories came flooding back. Ever since she was young, Yuffie had grown with a fierce hatred for Shinra and everything that they had taken from Wutai. She had made it her crusade to restore Wutai in any way that she could. She became a ninja, mistress of the shadows, stealing and fighting for the benefit of Wutai. But back then, so very young, she wasn't even allowed out after dark, or even the village at any time. So, she did the only thing that she could ... she started to pilfer from local business.

Of course, it wasn't just any business that she would do this to. Just those wealthy business, with too much money on their hands, who could do with being taxed more in order to restore Wutai's greatness. And there was one particular shop that Yuffie tended to steal from the most. Inside was a handsome young boy with an arrogant smirk and outlandish clothing. The two did not get on from the start. Yuffie refused to acknowledge his real name, deciding to give him the nickname 'Yuki' and he had a few choice words for her upbringing and 'talents'.

Because, back then, she was far from the expert ninja that she was today.

She was caught every single time she attempted to steal from them, and Yukio's mother made sure that she got a very public humiliation on every occasion. Though they were always at each other's throats, Yuffie came to value the strange argumentative relationship that they had. All the other kids were older than them, and drafted in to the war with Shinra. Then came the day when her father took her in, and began to seriously train her within the secret walls of the Pagoda. As she trained, Yuffie got stronger and smarter, and left Wutai on her own secret missions, but she also saw less and less of Yukio, until eventually she never even saw him again, and didn't know what had happened to him...
