Hera Ledro's First Post
Felldoh climbed to the the next ledge on the mountain, and reached down, pulling up the young human, Jake, and the mouse warrior, Matthias. Right behind them crawled Brome, Felldoh's close friend from many years past.
It had been several weeks since Felldoh's revival, and he still didn't really know how it happened.
The last thing he remembered was Badrang the Tyrant, a cruel and sadistic stoat, screaming "Marshank!" and being ambushed by about a hundred corsairs. He knew he'd managed to kill at least 10, probably double that, but everything went black soon after.
And then, he awoke to find himself underground. He'd clawed his way up, frantic to get out of whatever hole he was in, and came to see a tree. He'd been buried there, and so he thought that someone believed him dead. The last noises he remembered were Brome and Keyla the Otter screaming "Fur and Freedom!" while the poles and spears pounded on him.
And then, everything had gone black.
It had now been a few weeks sincehe awoke, and he ran into a mouse that looked strikingly like his old friend and fellow slave, Martin. When he saw the sword, which also looked like Martin's sword, but only with the words "I Am That Is" on it, he almost cried out in joy for seeing Martin.
But the young mouse turned his sword on Felldoh, telling him to not take another step. Only once the young mouse, who had introduced himself as Matthias the Warrior, had ascertained that Felldoh was indeed a friend did he lower his sword.
Over the next couple weeks, they travelled together. Felldoh asked why Matthias was here, and he had told him that he was hunting a searat.
"You see, I'm not from here," Matthias had said. "I'm from a place called Redwall Abbey, and I was just married to my wife, Cornflower. But then, when I was keeping watch from the guardhouse in our Abbey, I saw an enemy run by. Cluny the Scourge." Matthias' face contorted with rage the instant he said the name. "He was running around with a big stoat, and a Pine Marten."
As soon as Felldoh heard the stoat described, he cursed. "Badrang," he muttered after a lengthy string of oaths. "I will have my chance at revenge once more." Then he told Matthias of the stoat and how he'd been Badrang's slave, building his old fortress of Marshank.
"Marshank?" Matthias said curiously. "That's strange, that's where Martin, the founder of Redwall Abbey slew Badrang the Tyrant."
"But that doesn't make sense," Felldoh objected. "That would mean that he was brought back from the dead, which means..." Felldoh realized that he had been brought back from the dead, along with what seemed to be several others.
"But if he and I have been brought back from the dead, then that means that some of the others have as well! Matthias!" he yelled, grabbing his companion by the shoulders, "I know who we can ask for help!"
"Help?" Matthias said, his green habbot wrinkled from the squirrel's paws. "For what? We're only looking for Badrang and Cluny, what do we need help for?"
"Badrang is a master strategist," Felldoh said. "It's something I underestimated last time. If I know that tyrant, he'll have a whole army by now. If anything, that stoat is resourceful."
Matthias nodded. "Cluny is the same way, and very brutal about it."
From there on out, the two set out on a journey to rid the lands of Badrang and Cluny.
Eventually, they discovered Brome of Noonvale, running from a band of searats. Felldoh quickly gathered some stones and tossed several of them at the rats, knocking some of them out.
Matthias charged in and smote the rest with his sword. Felldoh had never seen anybeast fight like Matthias. The mouse was unstoppable, the blade swinging here and there, cutting down the rats who were attacking the other young mouse.
Felldoh rushed forward, jumping over the bodies of the rats and grasping his old friend. Pulling Brome into a big hug, Felldoh put down the young mouse and looked him fully in the face.
Brome had grown up. But if Matthias was from the time he said he was, then Brome would have been dead. That meant that he'd been revived as well.
Crying out in joy, Felldoh gripped his friend again, the tears flowing from his eyes. "Oh Brome!" he cried. "I'm so glad to see you!"
The young healer mouse looked up in the squirrel's eyes and collapsed, still conscious, but with a giant sigh of grief.
"Felldoh..." he said, so quietly Felldoh could have mistaken it for a small breeze. "I thought you were...I watched them..." Without warning, Brome pounded on Felldoh's chest, yelling, "I thought you were dead! Where were you! We buried you! What happened!"
Felldoh gripped his friend tightly, ignoring the child's battering fists. "I know, mate. I've missed you too, and I was dead. I just came back a few days ago." Felldoh told Brome all about what was going on, and that he and Matthias were going to settle it.
"Badrang's alive?" Brome said incredulously. "But I saw it, Martin killed him!"
"I know, mate. This guy here," Felldoh said as he gestured at the green-robed Matthias, now searching the rats for clues, "This is Matthias. He's Martin's predecessor as the Warrior of Redwall. But even I'm alive now, there's no reason why Badrang shouldn't be."
"We should make camp here, for the night," Matthias called over. "I'll find us some firewood."
Felldoh nodded. "Right, I'll get us some food." Turning to Brome, he said, "You go get some rest. You look like you've been running for hours."
"If you're wondering where the rats came from, they came from that way."
Felldoh whirled around, grabbing his staff, looking for the source of the voice. "Show yourself!" he yelled.
From the trees above him, a furless creature with odd clothing jumped out. On his feet he had odd black cloth hooves. His skin was peachy white, and his eyes narrow and slanted. His black hair was tinted green, and his clothing was red. He wore pants, blue, and made of what looked to be a very rough material, with many pockets.
Felldoh stood at the ready, but the furless creature just held out his hand and said, "What's up? Tha name's Jake Long."
Felldoh, keeping his staff held at the ready, held out his hand in greetings, shaking hadns with Jake. "My name is Felldoh. Why have you come here?"
"I'm actually looking for someone to tavel with. I was pulled in here by something, and I dunno the way back. I was actually wondering if I could find someone to help me." Eyeing Felldoh, he said, "What are you? Some kind of giant squirrel.
Felldoh's eyebrows wrinkled as he frowned. "What do I look like, of course I'm a squirrel! And what are you? You have no fur or anything!"
"I'm a...human. So I take it then," Jake said, gesturing at Brome, "That the kid is a mouse?"
"Yeah," said Felldoh. "Tell you what, you can come with us for now, but when you get to where you need to go, we leave you behind, alright?"
"Ok, sound's cool." Jake looked around, and said, "Wait here."
Jake walked off into the forest, and Felldoh could have sworn he heard the human call something out, and then a burst of light. Maybe he's a wizard or something, he thought. The light was soon followed by the sound of chopping wood, and then another burst of light. In less than a minute, Jake came back with a whole pile of logs, and set to work building a shelter.
In about an hour, Matthias came back with the wood and jumped. Standing there was a small wooden fort, and Felldoh and Jake were up top, scouting for rats. Matthias entered the for and joined up with Felldoh, eyeing Jake warily.
"Who is this?" Matthias asked. Felldoh explained who he was and that, with Felldoh and Brome's help, they built this little fort. Matthias accepted this, but his eyes never left Jake, except for when his watch was over.
In the morning, they'd approached a mountain, and started climbing, seeing no other way around it. It took them almost two weeks to get to the ledge they were at now.
Once they were all up on the ledge, Felldoh sat down and took a swig of the water he'd collected from a little brook on the way up. He gave the others the waterskin, but Jake refused the drink.
"Suit yourself," Felldoh said. Jake nodded and stalked off. Felldoh was suspicious and followed him. He wondered what Jake was up to?
Hera Ledro's Second Post (due to Automerging)
Felldoh followed the human to the other side of the cliff. All of a sudden, Jake stopped, and Felldoh hid behind a rock so that Jake wouldn't see him.
Jake yelled, "Dragon up!" and a blue fire erupted around the human, cutting him off from sight for a second. Felldoh gasped.
In Jake's place stood a tall Dragon, thin, but still seeming to be very strong. Down his spine flowed a long strip of spikes, coloured green to match the same tint as his hair. When Jake turned around, Felldoh noticed that he had sharp claws and yellow belly scales.
Jake called out, and it was disconcerting that his voice had not changed when his body had transformed so radically. "Come out, rats. Stay away from the others, they have nothing to do with you or your master."
From the crags in the mountain, a swarm of rats crawled out, and surrounded Jake.
One of them, a large burly one with a mail cap and a big spear, came forward and said, "Oh don't worry. It's you that we want, Dragon."
"Yeah," Jake said, grinning. "I know, but you ain't touchin' this pretty face."
"Get him!"
Felldoh yelped as the rats swarmed Jake, and he jumped into the fray, spear in hand. Jake was surrounded by so many rats that Felldoh couldn't even see him. Since he'd attacked from behind, he had the element of surprise, and he managed to impale several rats before they realized that they were uner attack.
Jake flew up, wings churning, and yelped when he saw Felldoh. "What are you doing?" he yelled, shooting down. Jake torched some of the rats that were running at Felldoh with fire that came from his maw. Using his claws, he took down another group that were running towards Felldoh.
"Why did you fight?" Jake said, landing beside Felldoh, and torching another set of rats. "Why didn't you just stay where you were?"
"'Cause you were being swarmed, mate," Felledoh said. "But we've got our hands full now, don't we?" Felldoh looked at the oncoming horde with trepidation, but relished the challenge.
"What do you reckon?" Felldoh asked. "About a hundred of 'em?"
"Easy enough," Jake said haughtily. And then they both rushed in to battle, crying out as they charged the rats.
Hera Ledro's Third Post (once again, due to that damn Double-Post thing)
Felldoh and Jake fought with vigor that few could match. Felldoh's spear sabbed and slashed every which way, and no beast could get withing 4 feet of him. Jake likewise tore at his opponents; any creature lucky enough to surpass his flames met their end by his tail and claws.
But there were too many. Felldoh was beginning to tire, and Jake began to slow as well.
"Felldoh!" Jake called. "There are too many, we have to go back and get the others!"
"No!" Felldoh cried. "I will not allow them to kill me like this again! And I will not call for help!"
"That's why you died last time, Felldoh!"
Felldoh jabbed another rat through the gut and looked back briefly, seeing Brome and Matthias running towards them.
"Redwaaaaalllll!" Matthias cried, and entered the fray with a mighty clang of his sword, decapitating a nearby rat and denting the shield of another.
Brome approached Felldoh, Matthias and Jake pushing back the rats with renewed vigor. "Felldoh, you're hurt!"
"Wha?" Felldoh gasped. He looked down. A arrow was protruding out of his right flank, and it wasn't until he saw the arrow that he actually felt the pain.
"Well," he grimaced. "Fancy that, they got me. Can you get it out, Brome?"
Brome scowled. "Yes, but only if you promise to stop rushing into things like that!"
Felldoh was incredulous. "But what about Jake? He was going to take them all on by himself!"
"Yes, but you have a history of dying from rushing into things like this, you do. He obviously hasn't died." After drawing the head of the arrow out quickly (and ignoring Felldoh's gasp of pain), he began to wrap up Felldoh's leg, and said, "What happened to him, anyways? He looks like one mighty beast."
"I really don't know, mate. One second he was a human, then poof! He changed into a Dragon and started slaughtering the rats that tried to ambush him."
"He doesn't look like any Dragons that I've seen in any books or anything," Brome said suspiciously.
"No, he doesn't," Felldoh agreed. "But there's nothing else he could be." Frowning and standing upright on his bandaged leg. "But there's work to be done, we'll ask him after. Freedom!" he yelled as he ran forward. "Brome! Stay out of the fight, we'll handle it!"
Felldoh rushed in again, and began his attack anew alongside Jake and Matthias. Within minutes, the majority of the rats were dead, and some had fled for their lives.
Matthias let out a roar of victory and Jake yelled, "Alright!"
Felldoh lauged, invigorated. He sat down on a stone and said, "Alright Jake, what in the name of Fur and Claw are you, anyways? it looks like you're a Dragon, but you were human before."
Jake changed back into a human in another burst of blue light, and smiled. "My whole family on my mom's side are Dragons, and we can change from human to Dragon whenever we want." Jake considered this for a moment then said, "Well, some of us can. Me, Gramps, and my sister Haley can change, but Mom can't."
Jake's face fell slightly. "That's why I'm looking for a guide. Gramps and I got pulled into this place, and I don't know where he is. We got seperated, so I'm looking for him."
Matthias looked solemn, and said, "I know what it's like, to lose someone very close to you. Not too long ago, I lost one who I would consider to be my grandfather." Matthias looked straight at Jake, eyes burning. "I will help you, Dragon. We shall find your grandfather, and gods willing, rid this land of Cluny the Scourge forever!"
Felldoh said, "Badrang too!" Then, he stuck his paw out. "Together!"
Matthias nodded and smiled, putting his hand on top of Felldoh's. "Together!"
Brome mimicked them, and placed his hand in the pile. "As one!"
Jake did likewise, and they all broke the pile, yelling, "For Freedom!"
Felldoh looked at Jake curiously, and asked, "Why are you fighting for freedom? Are you slaves where you come from?"
Jake shook his head. "No, but the Dark Dragon wants to enslave all the humans and rule our world."
Felldoh bowed his head slightly, his fists shaking. "That's why I'm fighting, too. Badrang the Tyrant enslaved my father and I, and now I'm out to make sure he'll never enslave again."
Matthias nodded. "Peace, Felldoh. We'll slay Badrang yet." He placed a paw on the shaking squirrel's shoulder, and Felldoh relaxed.
Brome went up and hugged his old friend, and Felldoh collapsed into tears. He hugged Brome back, wiping his face off with his paw.
"I know, Matthias, I know." Wiping his face off, he said, "Let's make camp. It took us a couple weeks to get up here, so we might as well rest."
Matthias and the others nodded, and set out towards the cave on the ledge they'd climbed to. "I'll keep first watch," Felldoh called. Felldoh sat on the edge of the cliff, staring out at the trees and valeys in the distance.
Hera Ledro's Fourth Post (DAMN AUTO-MERGING!)
Felldoh had trouble keeping himself awake for the 3 hours that were his shift. He actually had to knock himself with a rock once or twice during the last hour.
He heard someone coming from behind and gripped his staff tightly, until he heard Matthias call out, "It's alright, Felldoh. I've got shift now, you go get some rest."
Feldoh turned around, not even bothering to conceal the relief that spread across his face (earning a grin from Matthias), and walked into the cave, saying to Matthias, "I've left a few rocks there for you, mate, just in case you've gotta hit yourself to stay awake or something." This pulled a chuckle from Matthias.
Felldoh went into the cave and set up a little place for himself, lying back and crossing his legs.
"You're one heck of a fighter."
Felldoh looked over and saw Jake looking at him, with an almost curious expression.
"I had to become one," Felldoh said grimly. "Once I escaped from Badrang, I had to do what I could to save Father and the other slaves." Turning over, he said, "I just wish that I hadn't been an idiot."
Jake nodded slightly. "I don't mean to sound nasty or anything, but how did you die? If you were dead, how could you be here in the first place?"
Felldoh couldn't conceal the pain that crossed his face, and he monotonously retold the story he'd told Matthias, how he died at the hands of Badrang's cowardice. "The cowardly bastard set up a trap for me," Felldoh said painfully. "He challenged me to a duel, and then once he began to lose, he sprang an ambush."
Felldoh clenched a fist. "I'll make him pay for everything he's done. He enslaved my father, killed Juniper, and then killed me."
"'Revenge only leads to disaster,'" Jake said. "It's something my gramps told me, and you know what? It really is true. I fought for revenge, and I lost the fight."
"That's why you died, Felldoh," Brome interjected. "You went there on oath of vengeance. If you'd fought for freedom instead of revenge, you might have actually seen the traps. From where Keyla and I were, we could see the holes." Brome sighed, and a tear fell from his face where he was sitting. "If you hadn't let yourself be so blinded by revenge, you would've survived."
"I know, Brome," Felldoh said softly. "I know, but you can't expect me to not want revenge, not after what he's done."
Brome shook his head. "I never said you shouldn't want revenge, but just because you want it doesn't mean you fight for it."
Felldoh nodded. "It's a mistake that did cost me my life, and I don't intend to make it again." Felldoh punched the ground. "But I will avenge them, even if I don't fight for revenge."
Brome nodded. "I can't say I agree with revenge, but I do want them avenged...I don't really know how I feel."
Jake looked at Brome, sitting upright. "So, what's your story, then Brome?"

Genie decided to take a vacation; because he needed one from what he thought. Plus he thought he was overworked.
Genie was in a polo shirt and pants. He was on vacation and playing golf.
He planted a golf ball on a tie and looked out over the mountains. Then he looked back down and yell.
"FOUR!"
The ball went flying and landed near mouse and the rest.
Genie came after the ball.
Genie saw them and changed his outfit into that of a scientist and with a magnifying glass.
"What we got here?"
He was teleporting and inspecting each one closely.

Martin began his day the way he always does, going about in his own little way trying to find something to eat... He walked out of the cover of his cave made of grass and into the broad forest. He looked around at the trees, the sunlight filtering down through the few spots that aren't blotted out by leaves. He decided to take his time, Orlando was asleep, the morning was beautiful and he does in fact have all day. He began the walk to the river he had found a few days before so he could hopefully catch a few fish. When he got there he saw the river was bigger than he had remembered.
"It must have rained last night. I hadn't noticed, maybe the fish will be closer now that the river is deeper?"
He began to scan the river for fish, he was convinced that the spot he was at was okay for fishing after seeing seven or eight fishes. He began to lure the fish to him, being a mouse this is an abnormally hard thing to do, but Martin had a special trick. After catching a few trout, using his mouth to catch them as he cannot use a rod, he returned to his hiding place and woke his partner Orlando the Axe. Now Orlando the Axe is quite the badger. He is pretty big for a badger, then again he was a badger lord. He awoke, startled by his friend Martin.
Martin was setting up a place to make a fire, He turned his attention to Orlando "Hey when do you think we should move on?"
"Later today, after the sun rises a little bit more we should head out. I forget where we're going though." Orlando walked outside to wake up quicker and he was awed at the forest. "it's so colorful in the morning, I should wake up earlier to see this."
"WHAT!? How can you forget where we are going we've been going there for two weeks!"
"I don't know I just did, I'm getting forgetful in my old age..."
"How old are you?"
"Seven years old."
"Why did you leave Salamandastron, weren't you the Badger Lord? I would think that you would stay."
"It pains me to say but I was exiled because I was in a battle when I got Bloodwrath, I killed all the enemies but I couldn't stop myself from killing a few hares from the Long Patrol. I was forced to leave Salamandastron."
"Really? Sounds like a horrible way to lose the throne. I would hate to be exiled from the area under my control."
"Yea yea, quit rubbing it in." Orlando walked outside to wake up quicker and he was awed at the forest. "it's so colorful in the morning, I should wake up earlier to see this."
"Oh sorry... But you're right you should wake up earlier, the mornings are always like this in the forest. Hey the fish is done. I could only catch three so the meal will be smaller than usual. We will have to eat lunch sooner. I can't believe we lost the food packs."
"It is unfortunate. Anyways why are you here?

OOC: Alright, I'll work with what we've got
IC: Felldoh was bewildered at the blue creature that was flashing between each of the group, and Matthias even jumped up and drew his sword.
Felldoh sidestepped slowly over to Brome, placing his staff in front of his friend.
"Brome," he said. "Stay here, we'll handle this."
What is this creature? Felldog thought as Jake transformed. And how can he teleport like that? I didn't think anybeast could be stranger than Jake, but this thing is WAY wierder than him.
Standing upright, Felldoh held his staff at the ready. Jake and Matthias positioned themselves around the creature, forming a triangle with the creature in the middle.
Holding his sword outward, Matthias asked, "Who are you, and what do you want with us?"
"More like what kind of beast are you," Felldoh muttered.

Genie heard their questions and teleported to the front of them with his normal looks about him.
"I am Genie." he said as he put his hands together and bowed slighty.
"I have nearly infinite cos..." He pull backwards and grew to a huge size and orbs of power swirled around his hands.
It all went dim. Then Genie turned towards another version of him and scowls.
"Opps, I am sorry didnt mean to cut the light show." He picks up the plug and plugs it back in.
Genie returns to the original position with the orbs of power and said, "As I was saying. I have nearly infinite cosmic powers"
He returns to normal size and says, "Who might you be?"

Jake flexed his claws and Matthias held his sword tightly, but Felldoh lowered his spear slightly.
"Genie, eh?" he said, ignoring Brome's chuckles from the light show. "Well, Genie, my name is Felldoh. These," he said, gesturing with his spear at Jake and Matthias, "Are Jake, the Dragon, and Matthias the Warrior. The young one behind me is Brome."
"You can do magic," Jake said softly. Then, louder, "Where did you learn to do magic like that? I've seen people who've been practicing magic for their whole lives, and they can't do that. And we Dragons have much longer lives than most..."
Matthias tightened his grip on his sword. "None of that is really important, what do you want with us?"

Genie look towards Matthias. Genie felt some distrust from him.
"Nothing I am on vaction from Agrabah."
He teleports near Jake looking like a wizard.
"I am a powerful jinn and magic is my life."
He shoots sparks out his palm.
"Hhmm.."
He trys again and shoots fire out of his palms.
